Jaye cotton seed is often added to a compost mix to make a better compost. Cotton seed meal is a good organic fertilizer in itself. I would say it is a good additive .

Have some Louisiana friends that use cotton seeds, Ernie, but they live close to the cotton gins where they can get them dirt cheap. Their gardens thrive from those additives.

Speaking of cotton seed....does anyone have a few they can spare? I love growing ornamental cotton, but our cold wet Spring didn't give my cotton bolls long enough to open for my next years seeds. I was able to "lift" a few seeds while in Nashville, but not nearly enough to suit me. If you don't have any, do you think if I posted a "want" in the annuals forum someone might take pity on me??

You could try Cookie. There used to be cotton fields here, but they're used for tobacco and corn now.

I'm praying for you Jaye, you would be surprised what all I found in my garage. Well, a lot went to the trash can, but things I've never seen before. I even found a 40 watt light bulb for ceiling fan, great it works and I now replaced burned out one in the bedroom. Why is all this stashed in the garage, God only knows. Found no money though, that's the sad part.

Son caught me reading a Watch Tower magazine. Well, one place it said that God's Kingdom started in 1914. Are they kidding!!! I usually don't bother with reading any of their literature, but this got me so curious. I better not read any more.

Cool weather is here, no sunshine today and I'm fine with that. I started on my energy drink 2 days ago and so far I haven't found any energy. Maybe the one today will give me a kick start.

Morning everyone. Nice and cool here today. 49 right now with a high of 70. A very nice fall day!

We had our first snow flurries this morning. Yuk. Certainly not ready for that!!

We got rain!! Around 9 pm last night it really rained hard for a while. More rain this morning, I hope it rains all day but it looks like it is clearing up already. I had about 15 goblins come for trick or treat, usually I have more than that. That's fine with me as the city always has a big party on the lawn of city hall for them. It is 57 with a high of 67 and that is more like the weather we should be having now. Going to enjoy my day!! Sorry about the snow coming already, I know how we "seniors" ache during the cold damp weather.

We had some rain, but we need more. Sun is out, but nice and cool. My DH always set my clock that bongs on the hour, now I guess I will have to learn now to do it on my own. Time to check the smoke detectors too. Settings on the microwave & oven are so simple even I don't have problems with that. LOL

Home again also. Had a great week-end. Trick or Treat was cold & windy but kids still had a good time.. I was surprised at Amelia, it usually takes her a while to warm up to people but she was gung-ho with the whole evening. Sat afternoon at daughters and then party Sat. eve, for DDIL's 50th b'day. Made a couple more stops for visits today. Was glad to finally get home.

It's been ages since my four have had a picture of just them. Don't know whose idea it was but awfully glad they did. They are in age order left to right. Boys are the oldest and youngest...would you believe? They are 4 1/2 years apart.

Yes Jaye dear, we care for you and you need us to hug you. Please don't hide away.

Jaye called me at 5:30 this morning ,things aren't good with Kel. I had to go to town this morning and didn't get back until after 3pm .I have tried to call her multiple times since I have been home to no avail .I am very concerned about her :( !!!!!! Please Pray !!!!!

I gave her our love, and told her that we will hold her heart gently and she will not get judged for anything here.
She's calmer now - she knows that the Lord has not forgotten her, and loves her.
