I ended up having to clean out the fridge again as well, even though I scrubbed it on Saturday. I had defrosted a bag of frozen peaches and didn't get to making the pie for a few days. Thought I had done all the shelves but nope, today I tried to pull out a bag of cabbage greens and it was stuck! I am finding that I can no longer multitask and do as good a job as I used to, my mind just lets the thoughts go!
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?Chat with friends old/new
i cleaned out my frigerator and freezer the other day . Found dog hair in it ! for heavens sake, how did Lucy get her hair in the freezer ?
made apple dumplings , ate 3 .
Betty i love watching t v in bed. I also love to read in bed too.
busy day at the orchard. we did 1o presses. that is a lot of cider. my knee's are killing me.
Ooooh I'm so hungry for "real" apple cider and fresh hot donuts. We have an old...over 100 years....cider mill that is water powered. Great place to spend a warm fall afternoon. Except then the line is a mile long. I found some old negatives at his parents of the mill in the 40s. I scanned them , fixed them up, blew them up & printed them up then took them over there , They were tickled to get them and framed them & hung them.
wow - an old cider mill!! That's just terribly awesome, and I can Well imagine his parents were tickled......!!!!
Cider and cinnamon ... Can almost smell it 😊
Wonderful pic Karen, and, gesture.
Off to return the car seat covers 😒
Package included 2 bucket seat covers, and, a STEERING wheel cover, no back seat cover!
Cold out fer sure .. 0c, 32F
Road construction guys worked in the dark til after 10pm, and are back at it.
Be glad when it's all done, starting to look. good after 2 months!
Havin a cuppa, and blasting off 🐣
M
Seat covers hardly ever include the back seat.
Morning all,
Welcome Terri, always nice for someone to join us..
I used to be the worse, yep, very worse when it came to refrigerators, now on my own not too bad as I don't often buy groceries, eat out more than in but still needs to be wiped down.
Karen, love the photo
not sure I've ever been in a cider mill
not a fan of cider, perhaps that's why
"M" I'm with LindaKay, back seat never is included in the package
guess they think most vehicles are only ever use front seats..lol
went to Walmart this morning to pick up kitty supplies, came out and saw the orange/red car but thought hmmm not mine, mine isn't as dirty as this one..big sigh, it was my car
To answer the question about cooking..no, guests fend for themselves
all has gone well so I imagine with my being gone for 10-12 days they can man the fort ok and then it's only 3-4 days and they move to their house. Hasn't been an inconvenience
did I say the money was nice to get..pays for Jeff/Greg/Kyle's main christmas pressie so that is a bonus.
Mom insisted I take $300 she wanted me to have, said I can buy myself a special treat..insisted NOT, she said she was the mother and I have to listen to her..tried to convince her to keep it for Nov1st weekend when I take her to Buffalo for hotel/gas but she said she also had that looked after
grrrr she did mention a few things she'd like so in my shopping outings in Fort Myers I will look for them for hate. Why do parents do same thing.. so laughing, this from the mom who paid for Sundays outing and fought the boys for not wanting $$$ guess what goes around come around!
Today I'm taking out 2 floormats and getting them based..not sure which we'll do in the workshop
hmmm perhaps each can pick which they want..we'll see how hard/easy this project is.
Betty - my mom used to tell me, sometimes it's better just to accept graciously...........
I know your mom can be a pain, but it saves an argument.........
I finished the cape I was making for a friend, and she's insisting I take some $$ for it. It was expensive fabric, but the reason I got it was because it was 70% off at Fabricland lol It's beautiful and will "pull" easily, but I hope she likes it. I've embroidered her initials on it, and the "scarf" has embroidered roses. Plus, I embroidered a wreath of flowers on the back. I sure hope she likes it. She emailed me saying she's excited and can hardly wait to see/wear it!
Susan, I would love to see the cape you made.
45 degrees here, hope you southerners kept the warm weather for me!
It was 94 here in Texas yesterday.
well now that's a tad too hot for me
high 70's with no rain would be perfect
it's our Thanksgiving Monday so I can sit on the beach and be thankful for all I have
it's Columbus day for you all as well so likely traffic on highways will be busy

Omg wouldn't you just want a few of these in your yard..how I'd love a few!
Noticed a lot of ooops with dg lately
Not pleased that by keying in on Nernst your name some of dg info is readily available for all to read
Odd that on this iPad i have access to adding photo's but not on my computer
Normally I'd not care but trying to post photo's of our 8th Annual floormat workshop and no can do
Jean, that tree is beautiful! Do you know what all it is grafted with?
Beautiful tree, looks like a bit of everything.
Betty I'm sure DG will get its self sorted out eventually....again
Yes, I have all my trust in them it's just I don't want to get behind..wanted it at a stage that
I could trace the original in order to send everyone the pattern along with the linoleum..
If you are having problems Betty. you need to click on the contact us link at the bottom of this page...scroll all the way down and the link is on the right hand side next to the 9/11/01 ribbon.
LK, that is from a msg DH sent me.. The man who did the grafting, Sam Van Aken, is an art professor at Syracuse University. He spent 9 years graftingmany varieties of stone fruits, cherry, plums, apricots, nectarines, etc on to one tree until he had 40 different edible fruits on it.

Wow 40 different fruits, Amazing.
Jean, that is an amazing feat to have 40 different fruits on one tree.
Fabulous!! You could have one of those "multi fruit" pies, or jams!
Morning all
Quiet this morning,
Everyone is still sleeping shhhhhh
Packing up swap pkgs to mail, travelling clothes as Darlene already has my suitcase
Will paint on floormatts for a few hours once I'm prettied up and ready to travel.
Darlene has someone coming in later this morning to close up her home home for the winter, not sure what she needs to have winterized then she will pick me up.
Imagine the pies I could have for Thanksgivng if I had such a tree, simply amazing
Here is hoping the glitches I had yesterday have been fixed so I can post on the workshop thread what steps I've already done
Have a safe trip Betty.
New thread
where's the new thread, Betty?
Susan, click on Betty's name, and go to threads she started. You can find it there. The links are not working right now. Another glitch with DG!
Here ya go Susan, you will probably have to copy and paste!
