Looks to me like your "pastor" used you as a sacrificial lamb. He figured you were expendable. Sorry but he is a poor excuse as a pastor.

as I said before - the Pastor blows "hot and cold" on me, and is embarrassed that we're the same age and I'm unemployed.
His berating me for this point is unconscionable. A pastor should be better than that.........
To tell you the truth, the church Needs such as I. "expendable"? not really - when they are so tired of doing things and I was willing to step up and do stuff.
Chair of the Robbie Burns dinner, banner-creation for the church, member of the choir, Board, Worship committee and UCW; Movie Night coordinator.......... and on and on.........
He likely looked around the church, decided there was too much of Bob & I and thought "they can't be all this powerful"..........(we're not - just trying to be good Christians and stewards......) and decided "enough is enough".
Someone else will have to do sandwich delivery to the Drop In Center, and other things that we used to do will have to go away.

btw - I suspected that he is the one who "mislaid" the Memorial Plaque, because he kept saying that where I said it might be - it couldn't be. Until he found it a couple of months ago, right where I suggested it would be. Only 3 people would/could get the big ladder and climb it - my Bob, the caretaker, and the pastor. I know it wasn't my Bob, so that leaves only two people. It's awfully suspicious, and he's a bit......shall we say "unstable" - maybe manic/depressive is the better term.
He told me once that other pastors/ministers go to their own spiritual leader for guidance, but that he felt he didn't need to. So, who does a pastor or minister go to when they go to no one?
He's not God, and shouldn't pass judgement, although he does.
He's also told many people that he struggles to forgive - it's not something that comes easily to him.
He had me make a banner saying "You are forgiven" and it hangs prominently at the front of the church........... 'nuff said!!

Guess I'm not so nice Susan, I would have grabbed the banner and told him he didn't deserve it.

ah well, I'm no saint - just another person plugging away through life.....

Took my laptop in to be repaired this morning, had to pay $50. For an estimate 😒
Haven't had a call back yet. Sure hope it can be repaired, I miss it, all my email addresses are on it, plus banking stuff and some family pics.

Made a ham casserole for supper, best get it in the oven.

Her sister arrived and she is giving her the lowdown re Ruby so I said I would crawl into bed,match tv and have an early night, not to fret, doing my regular routine, not because they are here.

As for mom "M" she is excited and yet worried.

She will be on her own, Sharon,is,busy and lives almost an hour away, now that mike and Kim have bought a place in Wasaga Beach they will be going away weekend's

Lots different for her, maybe she will realize how,lonely she will be and may decide on a similar residence but it has to be she who makes the decision.

Keep saying I should buy seat covers for mine but just never seem to go look, your butterflies will jazz up your wheels

Yes, worry about Dianne, usually she is about inquiring as to how the Meaford show went

Also wonder about Katie, how,she is doing, you all are always in my thoughts and prayers

I can't believe it........ I just got an email from the pastor, advising me of a Church job website. He said it is one that he would use if he needed to.
I already knew about the site, but I'm not even going to reply to the email - he hurt me too badly for me to feel like forgiving him for stomping on my feelings.
I think he's realized how valuable I am to the church, and/or he's trying to make himself the "good guy" in all this.
I do forgive the Board Chairman, btw. He's been under a lot of stress. I'm sure he didn't ask Gary to call me and dress me down this way - it's not John's style.
It is, however, very much like Gary.

1. we're the same age & he thinks anyone our age Should be employed & is embarrassed that I'm not......
2. he feels it's his duty as "my" pastor, to help - at the moment, I think he's being phony.........

he, on the other hand, has a guaranteed job for another 5 years - until he retires at 65

There is no moral obligation to have a job, merely a financial one. My word he'd think very poorly of me. I didn't work enough to qualify for SS. I was really busy raising 4 kids and then a few grands. Took care of the grands so their mamas who did work could know their wee ones were in loving care.

as for Gary - on the one had he knows how thrown for a loop I am when I'm let go for a job, but on the other hand he doesn't seem to care enough not to put me down further by this whole "soap dispensers" issue.........

Susan honestly this is my opinion,, so here it goes. He is a cruel minipulator and is toying with a person who he see's is a target. . I believe he is just hiding behind God. To feel powerful over others. Is he like this with men who are unemployed ? you can't be the only person at the church who is unemployed ? is he this way with the men ? . ok i better shut up . Susan i m so sorry your hurting . I do hope this opens another door for you to lead you to a church that accepts you for you. You deserve so much more.

Oh Jean do you hear the tunes? My ears are just delighted. I was rocking around the upstairs much to the pups delight. Duke even danced with me for a few beats. Thank you so much for sharing these tunes with me. Did you ever meet any of these ladies personally?

So how was Meaford Betty? A friend who was there said she was down from last year where she was down from the year before.

Read every day but just haven't posted. I went for eye field tests last Thurs - the neuro optha doc wanted them done before he saw. I am also waiting for a new MRI date as the last one I had was at a clinic not the hospital.

DGS and I went and picked up a kitten for his wife for her b'day. Told her all the responsibility was hers, so we shall see.

I know, I know , we are NOT cat people but I think 2 dogs is enough and kittens are relatively easy to care for.

Karen, congrats on the kitten, love pushers, our old fella is heading into his 21st year,we spoil him, has always been a good puss.

This week is chock full of apps. Today it was Lorna, blood work and an eye exam, tomorrow DH has an Opthamologists appt @ 8am, means leaving at 7am, Ugggg
While he's at that office I'll scoot upstairs to have my blood work done

Sue - thank you - I have no idea how he is with other unemployed people - he doesn't share this info. Also, the majority of the church are retired people, so that doesn't apply. Maybe I'm the anomaly....... no idea
Those that are employed are generally in oil & gas, and have been there for years.

What am I doing today? I'm embroidering a cape I've made for a friend. Tan coloured, with red "Frogs" on the front, and "attached scarf" where I put a couple of roses at each end, and now am embroidering a floral "wreath" on the back
Thanks to you, Karen, I have some beautiful designs (Big Book of Embroidery that she sent me! I couldn't find it anywhere. Dunno where it disappeared, but Karen "came to the rescue"!!)

I'm so glad you're getting good use of the embroidery book. I may still find mine if I ever get moved and can access my things in the storage trailer. I just told hubby yesterday that we may as well open it and sell the contents as I despair of ever moving where I can have my things again.

found some clothes at a nice boutique today in town. I can't wait to show you all the antique stores and pretty boutiques we have in town. SOme nice coffee shops and tea stores.
Several new stores are open in town. Can you believe i m already planning the menu's for the gathering LOLOL .

Here she is...Cleo..or as I call her Cleocatra. Supposedly she's half rag doll and half Maine Coon. Couldn't prove either by me. First stop was the pet store to stock up on supplies. Had called the woman to ask about food, she said oh just any adult brand. Grrrrrr. We bought kitten food and she gobbled it up, has used the litter box, and found her way upstairs and down. so all is good so far. She is very interested in the birds but no way she can get to them. Dogs are also very interested in her but all calm so far.

AWE! She is so cute!

Granddaughter was out bow-hunting today. No deer but she got this lovely shot of colors and a double rainbow.

put a quilt on the frame this morning, not that I will get it quilted but always easier to do a bit here and there when it's ready for quilting.

thinking of having an easy day today..things with the guests are going ok, just not used to having THINGS around but I'll be gone Friday so I try not to let it bother me..

this afternoon I'll take mom shopping and out for supper..she was telling Sharon it cost me $8.00 to eat with her every night and she wants to give me back the $$$ I've spent..don't want it, would have had to buy groceries anyway.

Told her if she and Aunt Muriel want to go to Buffalo as they've been asking I can make it the weekend of Nov 1st seeing as I go on our Christmas shopping trek the weekend after

Betty, I have good days and bad days. No rhyme or reason. But I am not looking forward to the cooler weather. I know I could not live up north where it freezes for months on end.

Reason and only reason I'm not lookng forward to winter as well, the cold does me in..well let's hope you have more good than bad

Back home, all is well, DH saw the Opthamologists, I had blood work done (ouch)
Went for groceries, then lunch, now I am going to clean and rearrange the fridge, after having visitors there's stuff that needs downsizing, or, tossing.

I USED to be snow bunny, but, no more, am dreading it!
