Sky is black, rain soon to fall
"M" jump at the chance to have an ipad, so very easy to use, much more so that laptop and no viruses..they have a new updated one, I'm thinking of having santa bring me one..can give the one I have to Noah..
Susan, can hear you about passionate, not always works in your favor, many can take it the complete opposite..
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?Chat with friends old/new
Morning everyone.
Love that stone Betty!
I am off to San Antonio for a new spine specialist, and tomorrow I have to see the mammogram clinic again, as my mammogram I had a few weeks ago, showed some abnormalities that need attention. I will be back Friday afternoon!
Let's hope LindaKay it's just a precaution..enjoy being with the grandkids
Sure wish I was spending the day with you along the river
I do too Betty, I had such a great time meeting up with you and the ladies, sitting at Dicks Last Resort getting insulted! :)
Hoping all is well for you Linda. Spending a bit of time with the little ones adds a bit of sweet to the trip.
Looks like Sharon got a nice healthy litter this time.
1male/4 females
1 dead at birth
She wanted males
Karen do you still have your visitors
Broke down, learning how to use the iPad.
Seems I can receive mail but not send it, very frustrating!!
Now trying to figure out how to save Dave's on it.
Best wishes to everyone, love the puppy pic and the statue as we'll
M
No, family was only here for the week-end. Made a couple of the Mondo bags and now I'm starting on the Princess Elsa dresses.
"M" usually where you purchase the iPad they set everything up for you
Don't be discouraged, you will wonder how you did without one shortly.
Karen, did you tell the little one you were making the Elsa dress or did you just take measurement Fter measurement? Lol
Well she's smart enough she asked and she over heard her mama and I talking about it. She kept asking me all week-end if it was done yet, I told her she would get it as soon as it was done,
M, Apple support for setting up everything on an iPad is great. I bought mine online this summer, and couldn't figure it out. The tech guy that answered the phone helped me set up my e-mail, put facebook on the iPad, explained how to surf the web, bookmark pages. Mine would still be sitting in the box, if it weren't for him!!
Bet you love it though right?
Oh, I really do!! I didn't think I would use it as much as I do!!
Couldn't be without mine either
I got a notebook free with my phone. It's nice but really don't use. I'll probably take it to the greats in TN when I go down.
Beautiful picture Barb.. Had wondered where you had gotten to.
Busy putzing with this iPad, need the grands!
Horrible cough,off to bed.
M
Fall colors are spectacular Barb as is the home, looks like live lives there..Rae you feeling any better? Today is your knitting club meeting ?? Will you be able to go and how are you doing with your sweater.
"M" grands will have you off and running in no time..uggg on the cough.
Watching NCIS trying to decide if I should get up at this ungodly hour as sleep escapes me
Keep telling myself this is going to be one heck of a busy weekend, rest is needed but no go
Could start spaghetti sauce for tonight.
Need to pack my suitcase for Florida so I can give it to Darlene tonight
Dozen Wine glasses on the coffee table must be finished and put away till Christma
Not sure how much I should put away as to make things childproof for my visitors coming onsunday
Yep, think I've convinced myself to get up
Good morning!
Wet and dreary day coming our way.
Agenda is open, Lornas Dad isn't feeling that great, fact of the matter is, he's failed a lot.
Worries Lorna, but, her Mom is just his ROCK! Nice to see.
Cough had me up nice n early :(
Betty, how long will your guests be in your house?
Think I'll try to manage a coffee
Have a stellar day
M
Sorry to have been gone so long. That antibiotic really knocked me for a loop and my posting was limited. But I have been following along. I'm much better - today was the last morning to take the pill. I am going to go to knitting as I missed last week.
My sweater is coming along. From the neck down, I'm now about 12" below the armholes on the body part. With over 300 sts on the needle , it goes rather slowly. I also want to get a couple more scarves made for Christmas presents. Keeping as busy as I can. Nothing like Betty though LOL
This is short but I'll do better tomorrow.
~~~~~to all and keeping you all in my prayers.
I just noticed that when we post, it has the month written in spanish, has that always been like that and I just never saw it?
Lots of rain here today. Sure glad it's Friday, though!
Son of a gun, October is in Spanish, odd huh?
TGIF fer sure!
Have a full on Turkey dinner to rassle up tomorrow ..today may be a day off depending on how Lorna's Dad is, or, we'll go for a travel around, weather is kinda cruddy though.
Need to do a quick shop for groceries.
Later
M
😊
Happy birthday "M"! Hope you have a great day.
How alert you are to have seen the Spanish version of October..after you said it I had wondered if it was German seeing its octoberfest month?? Funny things happen under ther the midnight sun. Lol
ohhhh it's "M" birthday,
Know I'm not a singer and sing off key but will sing the happy birthday song anyway. May you enjoy your day
Hmm posted re your post Barb and zap it's gone
Hope no rain in your neck of the woods so you can enjoy your outing today..few rows each day and before you know it you will be wearing the sweater
Happy Birthday, Marilynne!! Hope your day is wonderful and you don't feel too cruddy!!
Heck, it's your B/D, have someone else do the turkey!!
I have to get all my plants in today as frost is predicted this weekend!
Wet & drippy here also...again. I had noticed the month spelling and wondered what was up. Hope they don't try to fix it as it seems more gets messed up the more they try to fix.
Hope you have a happy birthday "M" Sure wish you were feeling better. Heck I wish all of us were feeling better.
Happy Birthday, Marilyn!!
yeah, September has changed, too.
katie - lol is this your doing? lol surely in Mexico you have heard Spanish speaking peoples?
Well, Bob & I are thinking about which church to switch to........ just spoke to a friend, and she thinks this is blown out of proportion (really? and I thought it was right ON lol no, "soap dispensers" are such a stupid thing to have this happen over).
Still, if it's to be, it's to be.........
Well Susan I think it's the thing you need to do. Just be sure to let the new church know you are soap dispenser trouble makers. Sorry just couldn't resist. I truly know how heart breaking it is to leave a "home" church.
Talk about windy, can't get my mind around how I will get all those leaves picked up
Susan, sometimes there are underlining things that come to the surface from just something as small as soap dispensers..hope you find a church quickly, know how active you are in one, you'll be lost if it takes awhile.
Spoke to Liz, lady who will stay here with me..baby is 20 months old not 9 months, her sister will come and stay with her the first week then her mother the 2nd week, guess in between she will look for a sitter. She seems nice, here is hoping!
Think I'll cook a tad of spaghetti so I can taste the sauce..hungry
Happy birthday Marilynne! Hope you have a great day
Ooooh 20 months will be very mobile then, need to baby proof.
Yes, but I will leave that to the mom, likely she would see thinks I wouldn't.
DON'T leave precious things to the mom, Betty. What is so meaningful to you might look like nothing to her. Trust me, I've seen it way too often!
You've see my home Joyce, nothing here I can't replace. Lol
Oh Betty so not true!! Wonderful things!
Pack away special treasures and leave a tote with some paper to wrap things in. Sit down on the floor and look around the room. That puts your eye at the same level as a 20 month old.. If it looks enticing and is breakable or could injure a little one, store it in a tote. If it hangs down, like a table cloth, tuck it in the tote. If there are staircases without doors...get a portable babygate. They are moveable and are fairly inexpensive (start at about $25)
I know Target carries them and is fairly close to you...
It is a fairly inexpensive, but very useful idea to have cabinet latches and outlet covers on hand.
Thanks Jean Wow lots to think about for so short a stay,if that's the case nothing will remain
Sigh
Storm coming in
Will drop off to see mom for 1/2 hr. she said they had a flower arranging course this morning and made me a fall arrangement. It's been years since she has done flower arrange'ing in fact she has her florist papers
Need to pick up wood for Paul's sign at tmbrr mart
A spring loaded quilting foot for husqvarna at Juanita's
Few things at grocery store then pick up spaghetti sauce here and off to Ann's
Will be nice meeting up with the gals
Especially take care with cleaning supplies. Either a childproof lock on cabinet or out of reach. When we rented here all cleaning supplies were on tops of cabinets in kitchen and bathroom. Hook and latch high on basement door also to any room you might not want her in. Amelia can open all our doors now.
