Mimi is right Ju. But, let me say that maybe your mood has a lot to do with how your plants are doing. look on the more positive side, the ones that are doing well and your garden will look better to you. The pictures show nothing but nice healthy plants. Jen
Plant Propagation Part 4 -The Basics
JU, looking at your pictures again. Love the artistic way you have used the fence post to hold the tomato up. Also the Autumn Clematis. Very pretty. I noticed tonight a bloom on my Clematis, can't think of the name of it, but it is in with a Honey Suckle. The guy that built my deck a few years ago trampled the clematis and I figured it was gone, so planted the Honey Suckle there. Well, now I have them both winding around each other. Oh well. Might look good sometime.
Hey ya Jen it only worked out that way , accidental effective lol
Lots of little things to look to yet to come before winter ,,
Re-potting , on and on ,, Not a lot of go to me though , , some will get done , some not , as always ..
Make a list as you think of them, and then prioritize your list. Think it works best. My problem is that I always get side tracked and work on something that isn't on the list. Whoops, there went the list. Yup, sounds good anyway.
My sister brought us some clam chowder for dinner tonight. Wow, last night we both fell asleep watching something on TV, must have been good, and woke up at 8:30. So, we weren't hungry. But then we had gotten up at 5 o'clock yesterday morning. Don't usually do that.
Bob is doing real well. He takes his walks around the house a few times a day, does his exercises, etc. Gets up and does little things when he feels like it, so he is getting better every day. More sure of himself I think.
We have a beautiful day out there, hard to believe it is going to only be 69 degrees. We'll
see.
as for a strange year , at least for me
plants that did grow outside are now growing under lights , these plants just sat there and stayed small all season , now their growing again under lights ,, weird ...
ice plant
catgrass New trying again , outside they failed .
Campanula
Snapdragons to small to get a pic of , their growing though ...
I have never seen these plants do this before , set with new leaves for months and not grow ,, now their growing under the lights ,, all I can think of is , oh well winter company ...
I like this thread, I have decided to join in, since I am just learning to propagate and stuff. Always an experiment in the making. Happy New Year, should a new thread be started?
This seet potatoe ( I batata) was saved last year from me rooting it in the fish tub water filter.. it made about 9 new plants, and about 7 potatoes. this is growing well under the t5 lights downstairs.
I have never seen this bloom. I have seen the five point " blackie" and the "Ace of Spades" version bloom, but never this one. Any ideas?
Welcome Debra.
I have no idea about sweet potatoes blooms. I have a sweet potato growing in one of my mini compost piles. Was not planted, just grew from a discard. It will be interesting to see if anything has developed below ground.
Someone will check in and let you know but when I have a question I also Google it. It is amazing what answers you can find.
JU, are you going to start a new thread, for the new year?
Hi Debra ,, I did not know about blooms either , Plants looking nice though , Anticipation is delightful . waiting for the new blooms ,,
Jen I was trying to wait until I had some new pic's of seedlings , as this has not been an active thread for a while ,, Only here you go .. A new thread
Here is the new thread link , as per all requests ,
