Jean you sweet lady you are an enabler of my love of music and the acquistion(sp?)l of CDS. I am now the proud owner of Jonny Lang's first album. I love that you can introduce me to new artists. This Jonny lad looked about 12 in the video but I did see he started out very young.I thought about you several times this afternoon wishing you were here with me on the deck as I read Keith Richards bio entitled Life and listened to Jonny Lang and Sam Smith. Perfect way to spend an afternoon. I must say I am just smitten with both Sam and Jonny.

Debbie you already know how I am feeling and sharing your pain with the loss of our Miss Izzy.((()))

Just coming off of a severe 3 day vertigo episode. I can't wait to have this next MRI done.

Betty did you allow time to sleep? That's quite the itinerary.

When he saw the graphs showing each day travel times, eats, entertainment and sleep (which was just a lark).

If we had a larger vehicle think Melanie would join us.

Greg made a point of saying they are leaving early August for a week and ot a plan or hotel booked..what happens happens but then that is a different type of travelling.

Woke up early with my old friend pain. Took a pain killer. Tony is due any time and we have lots of work to do.

Radiology at Kaiser called. They want to recheck my right breast. Not up to heading back to Ca. for a month or so. I don't feel anything with a self exam.

ohhh Katie, is there nowhere you can have it done in Mexico?? even if you had to pay it likely would be easier on you to confirm nothing is wrong than to travel that entire distance and cost to find out same? So my mosquitos are vacationing in Mexico, please keep them..hope pain subsides.

Lost everyone again. Happy Birthday Debbie and also sending a big hug to help with the sadness. II think the sadness over losing a pet is why I waited so long to adopt another kitten. Would love to have a dog but not a good idea living with gators in our lake.

Difference in our travelling Betty, you travel mostly for fun, I'm usually on a mission either downstate or to TN. It's been a very long time since we just traveled for fun. I think was in 2005 when we went to Alaska.

Dianne, So glad you enjoyed Johnny Lang. He was playing with blues legends like BB King and Eric Clapton when he was 16. I do have a sad note though. Johnny Winter, one of the Blues greats passed away. He was 70. I feel privileged to have met him and had the chance to not only talk with him, but to hear him perform live.

Marion, so glad to know that Sue is doing better and you can actually get some of the things you wanted to do done. I try to keep up and I do think of you and the Lovely Ladies everyday.

Jean I was shocked to hear on the news about Johnny Winter passing. He was scheduled to perform close to me next week. I have always enjoyed his work. I see Eric Clapton has a new album out dedicated to JJ Cale who I really enjoy listening to. Please just keep popping these names at me so I can expand and educate myself in this wonderful world of music.

I was a bad doggie mom. I forgot to give Duke his meds for 1.5 days. In my defence I was in the midst of a horrible long lasting vertigo spell but I still should have remembered. I think the poor little guy scared himself with all that energy. One of the boys ate the contents of almost a full tube of toothpaste. Neither of the boys is talking though.

Nap, shnap .. jeeze, sometimes I think I'm living in a zoo LoL
The dogs settled down nicely on the bed withme, each one got their favourite spots scratched and then I said the 'magi words .. night night,, sleep sleep ' .. the dogs know that means Mom is going to sleep .
Just closed my eyes .. MEEEEEEEOWWWWW, MEEEEEOOOOOEEEEEWWWW .. Smokey was outside, i knew he was, thought he'd sleep on HIS chair .. but, NO .. got up .. there is my 20yr old pusser with a SQUIRREL in his mouth, which he dropped and then he sauntered into the house, tail a flicking .. I knew the poor squirrel was done for .. but, the dogs were ON ALERT, they smelled it .. so .. I shut the door .. and made like nothing happened, crawled back into bed, kept thinking about the squirrel .. ended up calmly getting up, going out the front door (dogs don't go near it) walked around the house into the backyard, WITH MY REACHER .. picked up the now dead critter, deposited him in a bag and tossed it over the fence for DH to look after ..
So .. NO NAP .. showered and feel better ..
OMG Dianne .. toothpaste, lordy, dogs are just so weird .. I dislike the taste of toothpaste, specially gel .. yuk !!!

And put into either their gas envelopes,entertainment or hotel ..ended up no leftover envelopes or left over money so I must have done ok..dropping them off to a friend to put in her safe until we leave Friday..I sure don't need 4k dragging around the house just incase.

LindaKay will be queen for the Month in a swap we belong to just after a few days of our visit. I remember something in town that I think she might like so off to see if it's there. Seeing we will get to visit together I might find a corner in the car to hide her gift..remember Mary I hid a set if mushrooms las year in the sub floor for you. Lol

Betty I smelt both of their mouths and both smelled great for a dog.I am positive if someone had been looking in the window as I was down on my hands and knees smelling the boys' mouths I would be on my way to a lockup.

Katie I sure didn't send my skeeters down to you. They are so thick here sometimes when you look out there is a black cloud. Do you get deer flies there? Poor Diesel just came in with his 2 ears covered with them.

As for a larger car, renting is ok but with putting on 4,000 miles + can you see the charge..nope they know what the deal is, a tote bag/air bag and that is it..not a shopping trip it's a sightseeing trip..I'll take them to Uffalo one weekend and let them shop.

Went into town, bought what I needed, did banking and fought traffic, imagine traffic bumper to bumper in Midlamd but it is tourist and cottage season and it's bike week..a zillion motorcycles and spiders..admiring them as I waited for the light, turned my head to the right and smilling was Greg..his spider is yellow but he was driving a gold/orange one so not sure what is up with that.

Got to Victoria Harbour and did the farmers market, bampnd was playing at the lake, had I not had groceries think I'd have gone sit for a bit.

So back home, hips paining like crazy..might take meds, a hot bath and have a relaxing night

1 cargo plane only two of a kind, largest in the world landed at Niagara airport today,could our Debbie be taking photo's? One day this plane will fly by computers only, no human at the wheel..quite a sight

My hubby hates anything mint, and that includes toothpaste. We used to use Aquafresh original toothpaste, because it was not minty. They stopped making it about a year ago, and he is so mad. I can't find it online anywhere!

Betty, I sure hope they can get your Mom's blood pressure numbers up where they need to be!

I don't know about Canada, but car rentals places here rent cars with unlimited miles, and it is about $25.00 a day! I don't know how it works leaving the country! Something you may check into to?

I hate the taste of toothpaste, but, I brush at least 3 times a day .. the first time in the morning is usually the worst .. and this from someone who has no sense of taste or smell .. but, I can sure taste the paste .. sensodyne isn't too bad .. it's a wonder the big toothpaste manufacturers haven't come out with something 'tasteless' .. dogs have chicken and beef flavoured .. yuk .. I think I'd like strawberry or vanilla, but scrap the heavy mintiness LOL Picky old broad !!
