Cindy that looks like a Peace Lily flower.
Sweet Interruptions # 285
Cindy, nice to see you found us. Beautiful flowers!
Here is the plant ID if you need it!

Jaye, sorry y our still sick, hopefully this round of meds will kick that crud out of your system?
Oh Karen, you poor girl. I have a friend who lives in MI and she is so sick of the cold weather.
Snow? We did not get snow today. Sorry for you all. I love the camo dress and tux. Really cute. And your niece is beautiful. My niece went to prom also. There was a cute pic of her and her date then a pic of my brother sitting in the back of the truck holding a shot gun!!!! Cute. He is a nut. Made me laugh.
Have been working hard in the yard and loving it so much. Am so sore in the morning when I get up. But thats fine am really loving being out there.
I'm sure that is a peace lily, Cindy. I agree with Jaye.
We have consulted with doctor at Palliative Advance Care and in home help is available whenever we want it. I feel we can cope right now but will keep their number handy. He is on a morphine tablet now and is helping with the pain a lot, but he is acting strange. Talks about things I have no clue what it is all about. Still has bad appetite, but am going to get help with that. Constipation is still a big problem but has some strong med for that. It seems every med he takes has that "binding" problem.
It seems bad news is following me, friend who I met through the gardening section and now resides in Arizona just lost her hubby. That man has suffered so much over the years and I guess the Lord has decided he has suffered enough. My friend in Minnesota just lost her mother, but a long and happy life at the age of 98. Almost lost a brother-in-law to an embolism in his lung. This getting old business sucks and I would like to meet the jerk who started calling it the golden years.
The difference a couple hundred miles makes, we get snow and my daughter downstate has her hummingbirds return. I have hope.
Cookie, so nice to see that Sue came for beer 30!
Pegi, sorry to hear all the bad news for you! Sending you lots of ((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))
Sending prayers Pegi.
So happy to see that photo of Joyce and Sue. Her smile is precious...
On the road again,.............
YEAH! Marion is going home! Have a safe trip!
Have a safe trip Marion. You have to be so excited. Happy for you. Nice pic of the dave gardeners. It is nice to a face. Hope everyone has a great monday cino di mayo. Lol.
That yellow duckie can never wake me up even if it's quacking loud! Thanks LK!
Looked up online, seems all with ringing issues go through this for weeks and sometimes months! Not good but then, I'm not working.. so that's a good thing right? If still in my old job, I won't be able to hear the tow motors honking or I'll be falling easily on wet work room floors!! Definitely thankful now that I don't have to go to work!
Karen, I wish you a LONG SUMMER!! Sorry, cat sat on my caps!
I want an early fall that last for at least six months and no winter!!!
Yayyyyy........... safe trip Marion!
What's beer 30? You and Sheri had 30 beers Cookie?
As always, Sue's lovely!
Hi Barb. Don't you miss gardening? Think if I were to live in a condo, I might be inclined to have Kel build me a raised square foot bed on the balcony!! Lol!
(((((((((((((Pegi)))))))))))))))) Wish I'm living close so I can at least help you with the simple ordinary everyday things for you. Like cooking, sweeping your floors and even folding laundry. After you've seen the way I fold laundry, you might just want me to hang all your towels :D
God never promise us easier days ahead, but He did promise us relief when we're heading a brick wall. I am happy that you're living in USA and not in some third world country, that you'll get physical help with Darwin, by licensed personnel.
You are a brave woman, always trying to be cheerful, when it must be hard on you to see Darwin suffering.
Nothing special today..except for voting. County's sheriff needs our support. He did wonderful work cracking down on meth lab and drug rings when he took over. One reason I have a 'piece' when the other sheriff was in office.
Happy Cinco de Mayo Ronna!!
Does anyone have a good cure for hot flashes? They are driving me nuts. The past few months, I get them just about every hour. Sometimes they last just a few minutes, sometimes they last for a few hours.
Beer 30 is a time to choose when ever you think it is time for a cold one!
Thanks for clearing that up LK. Ignorant of modern slang here.
Time for HRT Linda Kay! Get a doc to prescribe you some supplemental estrogen.
I had mine a decade ago. Back then I was using using lots of fresh ginger in my food, drank buckets of root ginger tea, not knowing that would ease the night discomforts.
Some ladies at work swore by black cohosh.
Thanks for the info Jaye. I will see if I can get an appointment with my Dr. Our Dr lately has been terrible at re-scheduling appointments. Todd was supposed to have an appointment this afternoon, and about an hour ago, the office called and so sorry, Dr. is out with an emergency, and his new appointment is 21 May. This is the 3rd time it has been scheduled. Pretty sad!
If you find that cure for hot flashes please let me know. I'm not supposed to be having them at my age, or so I thought. They aren't as bad now, but could drive me insane at times.
Darwin is taking his prescription laxative and hope it works. Said it is nice tasting stuff, but if it works is the most important thing. I'm kind of in a zoned out space right now. Morphine pills do work but as I said it makes him a little weird Have I mentioned I Hate housework? I did accomplish a few chores this AM, but not enough to see any change in the clutter. As long as the back stays strong I manage to get some chores done. At least it isn't as hot as it was, can't do anything in the heat.
Morphine can make you do and say weird things. Make sure you watch him, so he does not wander off somewhere.
I don't know where either of the girls got their prom dresses .I just thank God I am past those expensive days and I had a boy .
I got on estrogen Linda and it even made me happy ....well at least not as bad at wanting to hunt people down and use them as target practice .......LOL
Morphine will make you talk about weird stuff ,but it's a great high ......LOL Pray that Darwin gets some peace from the meds ....
Pretty flowers Cindy !
Jaye you never cease to crack me up .........all us hicks know what Beer :30 is .......LOL ,I love you !
Marion have a safe and happy trip home ,but don't drive like a Nascar driver .Will you be home for good or just a little visit ?
Well it is true.. I am ignorant of anything related to beer!! Don't drink it, only fry with that stuff!!
Lol!!
The sistahs are right about morphine, Pegi. I thought only Kel's dad and my late FIL were affected by morphines. Watch Darwin reach for the sky one day or thinks he's superman!! Remember to chalk that up to morphine.
This flower here is killing me. I completely forgot what it's called!!
Someone help me to help someone else!!
Fuschia Jaye

Thank you very much sistah Synda!
Yes fuschia, one of my favs. I always get one for Mother's Day. I call them little ballerinas.
That is a beautiful plant Jaye, wish I could grow them here. They don'y like this heat!
Home........sleeping in my own bed!
No NASCAR driving Synda.....took 7 hrs as traffic wasn't bad today.
Right now I am supposed to return on the 12th but that could change. The psychiatrist and therapist are working together and will be in touch with me about her progress. They will call me IF she is doing okay and I can stay home longer. They are referring to this as a trial separation. The goal now is to have her functioning with the support she has down there. However, if she regresses the I will have to return for anther coup,e of weeks or so.
I know you will get a good nights sleep in your own bed! Enjoy your stay home. I pray it is a long stay!
Glad to hear you arrived home safely Marion. Take each day now and thoroughly enjoy it just in case you do need to go back to Sue's for a while. You were away long enough to know which things you really want to do and which things can wait a while more. Especially go to the grands as I'm sure they missed you soooooo much...
morning
Had a great time with the girls. Then hit Toms place . We went to a jazz club , drank to much and ate to much. LOL but a great time . wonderful music !
Pegi sending you (((((((hugs))))))))
Marion hoping you can stay home and Sue will be able to make it , with the help of her dr.s
pretty flower Jaye
im off to the gym.... honestly i have only lost 3 lbs and i m sure this weekend of fun didn't help ! ack :P
fun is so much better then skinny !
Morning everyone!
Don't work too hard at the gym Sue!
pretty fushia jaye. I have 2. marion, glad to see you made it home ok.
Thanks everyone..it is just so nice to be home. I am enjoying a cup of coffee as I type this and watching the birds feeding along the shoreline of the lake. Overwhelmed by all the debris down from the storms that have gone through but that, too, can be handled in time. Bestest....my kitty finally made up with me but she did put me through the "wringer" first. You left ME for 2 months NOW you expect me to just come to you? NOT! Spoiled little imp.
I have spoken with Sue and she is upbeat and busy. Going to her church to help assemble things for Vacation Bible School. Said it took her a little longer to go to sleep but when she did it was a good restful sleep. Step 1...good.
Off to get some things done but I leave to go to Bainbridge. Tonight is Awards Night and the student that is so attached to Kim requested I come also. She is our horse rider I speak of every now and then.
Good for you Sue....glad to hear you had a good,no great time. Hang in there.
Pegi, sending love, hugs and prayers as usual. I, too, would so gladly help if closer.
Everyone...have a fantastic day. Life is good!
Jaye, When are you going to open the red, white and blue swap? I am already collecting things
It's a beautiful day in Marion's neighbourhood!! She's home! Did BobbiBadCat ran circles around you? Visited the dungeon yet? Made food requests with Kim?
VBS will keep Sue involved with church for at least a week. May that step bring her closer to complete healing.
Hi Barb. When I was through helping a BFF for weeks, first thing I did when I got home is to go to the sewing room and reacquaint myself with the fabrics!
So, I'm right, Tom is a a renaissance man. It's not easy to find a male adult that likes Jazz. Does he play a musical instrument, Sue?
Take it one step at a time, I'm just a worrier.. I had my share of prince charmings that reverted back to toads. Do want Tom to be your everything.
The answer to your question Sis Kathy.. pretty soon. I normally start around mid May.
Karen, thanks for the nickname. I always get them confused with bleeding hearts!
That flower isn't mine. I cannot grow fuschias too here LK. They last for a few days even under shade, unless the heat remains around low 80s.

The problem I have with fushias, and I do love them, is the ones I get on Mother's Day were hot house grown and by the time they are gifted, they are at their peak. Nowhere to go but downhill. Maybe getting smaller plants not yet in bud is the answer but of course not too spectacular looking as a gift. They do love lots of water too. I might try cutting back after bloom and see if they recover, nothing lost if they don't.
We can grow fushias here but the problem the last few years had been the care needed to survive. Kim, bless her heart, forgets my plants like water if we haven't had rain. I got a huge surprise this morning while wandering around the yard to see what had survived.
My thumbergia (Blue glory vine, I think is the name) not only has come back but stands about 4' tall and has twisted all around itself....need to get a tendril and attach it to the wrought iron trellis. My burgundy shrimp plant has new growth and the Nikko blue hydrangea has about 10" new growth . Yeap it is a glorious day in my neighborhood.
Jaye, I go right by the "dungeon" coming in the house......it is fantastic!!!! Charlie ran out of wood for the trim work so that is on the list this week. We, yes you read that correct, will be installing the door either Wednesday or Thursday. I have been giving serious thought to just moving down there for my bedroom w/bath and converting my room to a guest room and then other bedroom to sewing/crafts. Both kids just rolled their eyes with that statement.
BobbiBC just ignored me!! Finally climbed on my bed and flipped on her back for a tummy scratch. Today she is very much under foot every where I go.
No cooking so far but I am sure that isn't going to last very long. Charlie has already hinted a meatloaf would be so good. Strange kid.
I can't make meatloaf enough for this bunch. I think because they want the left overs for sandwiches. Isn't it funny? No matter how grown and how long away from home, they still want mom to make favorites.
Marion know you're enjoying being home. Hope you can stay for a good long while.
Glad to hear someone else has a family who ask for meatloaf.....even my DIL and the girls. Yes, it is the "sammichs" that my family wants.
Thanks Karen, I hope so too but she is having a rough day..she just called. The water pump did something "funky' while she was away this morning and now there is a huge water puddle in the backyard. The pump won't shut off so she has unplugged it and called a repairman. Hope they respond soon so she doesn't panic.
