Prayers said for Heather LK. Hope strong antibiotics will set her blood back to normal.
You're branching into baby clothes Barb! :) Wonder woman, bringing smiles to parents and kids faces for sure.
Dear Marion, like LK said, May isn't too far away. Hopefully between now and then, the dam will break. We just may have to ask the Lord to move faster, as it seems Sue is quite strong willed.
Karen, you are one blessed lady. A teenage great grandson!! More photos for your scrapbook for sure.
That would be nice Sue!!!. Which part of NC?
SWEET INTERUPTIONS , ROOM # 284
I don't know . i will ask him. Im sure he told me but don't remember.
Well i have decided to get my boobs taken off. I m a woman with DDD booby's and its just not fun anymore :(
Talked with Tim and he said i can stay on his plan . we will work out payment later.
it will be strange to have the southern bells back to northern heights again ? ! Bwhahaha.
im watching a movie, PS I Love You. Romantic comedy .
Lolol southern belles to northern heights!!
Gof for it Sue, if I could have these reduced, I would too.
I would too, but my insurance won't pay for cosmetic surgery.
Turns out Heather has a pelvic infection from ruptured scar tissue.... because her immune system is so suppressed is the only reason she gets such a bad infection. She is on pain pills and antibiotics.
Thanks for the prayers!
Sometimes there are valid medical reasons for reduction, then it is covered by insurance. Back pain, shoulder pain and even the nerves in your arms can be affected.
I sure understand and sympathize with Heather. I too have a suppressed immune system, it's why I got so sick from a little virus and a UTI.
What a long time in the infusion center. Had a 10 AM appointment and had to wait over an hour. They had an emergency, so now I know what the ambulance and fire truck were there for when we arrived. No emergency set up at this medical center, used to be the old hospital until about 3 years ago. Then it takes so long, about 5 hours, but I read and used the web sites on my kindle-fire. Wish I could have played my pogo games, but kindle doesn't have java. No more appointments until next Wed. I hope new blood gives DH a little energy.
Weatherman says we are going to get some rain, but I suppose not in our area. Prayers for Heather, LK. Marion I hope you will be on your way home soon. I'm hoping to get my strawberry plants in the ground this weekend. We are supposed to get temps. in the 90's by Sunday. Don't need the hot weather yet.
Oh that sounds so painful , for Heather. So glad she has some meds and can get better.
Pegi wow that is a wait . Hope you get some rain soon.
The boobies have become a medical issue. . The constant pain in my shoulder. Can't raise my arm abouve my shoulder. Neck too. Then i have permanet dents in my shoulders from the straps.
I have done everything .
Dr says he will help me with the medical insurance part .
Sure hope my insurance will cover it.
Wow what pain Heather must have went through. Glad they discovered the culprit LK.
Most diabetics and cancer patients have suppressed immune disorder Karen. I too get sick so easily and takes much longer to recover. We just mustn't let these chronic illness get the best of us.. I know I failed at trying.
We're all here cheering for Darwin to get his strength and mainly appetite back. Pegi, do you have any help at all in taking care of Darwin? You can't go through this alone.
When I gain weight, it's all in the boobs Sue. I hate it when I had to spend more money on bigger and ugly flopper stoppers!! You've seen me, and I belong to that abnormal size triple D for a short midget!! It's a miracle that I haven't topple over!
Pegi, blood transfusions take a long time to do, they have to do it slowly to make sure they don't have any bad side effects from it.
Heather has early stages of uterine cancer, but no one will touch her till her Obama care kicks in, and that is not till May or June. She got approved and paid her payments but she still has to wait to use it.
Aw Linda, that seriously sucks Heather has to wait for proper treatment. Afraid that's what we are all in for now. Our animals will get better care than we do. Sad, Sad, Sad.
Sue and Jaye, you must have got my share! LOL
LK not good to hear about Heather. Has she pushed the issue to see if things can't move faster?
Pegi, I agree with Jaye, don't keep putti g off getting......caregiver role is hard! Please take care of yourself.
Weatherman man was right for a change, it is raining. I just hope it is enough to satisfy all the plants.
So far I've been taking care of Darwin alone, isn't too bad, but he is always yelling for me to do something for him. Next Wednesday morning we have an appointment with the Pallaitive Advance Care people. We will learn a lot about what they can do for us. Then on Friday he gets his first treatment of Xofigo, the chemo/radium shot. We talked to a doctor and Darwin had to sign some papers. Fairly new treatment and I hope it helps a lot. I read up on it and we got a booklet telling all about it and the side effects. Just hope he can tolerate it as this is the last of the treatments they can try. In clinical studies some even had to quit treatment. It is a 6 month treatment, and costing $66,000 which we don't have to pay. I imagine they will be wanting blood tests too. Son has been driving us to appointments and taking wheel chair out of van for him. He had the nurse weigh the wheel chair in case he can't get out of it when they want to weigh him. Alone it weighs 42.2 lbs. This treatment is supposed to add time to his life, but only about 3 months. Just pray that new treatment will help a lot.
Sorry Heather has to wait for Obama care to kick in, just doesn't seem fair when a serious condition can't be taken care of right away. Pray that she will get help very soon. Yes, Karen I agree with you about the care we will be getting, very scary.
Praying for Heather, LK. What a bummer she has to go through this.
Sue, from personal experience I can attest to the grin that will be on your face after surgery! I know you've wanted this for a long time. Glad it's finally going to happen!
Pegi, I so feel for you, Darlin, no one who hasn't been through the caregiving of a cancer patient has any idea how ver hard it is. My heart is breaking for both of you.
Jaye, I'm so sorry you're still feeling icky. Prayers coming your way that today will be better for you.
I wish I knitted, Barb. I love those knitted cotton dish clothes. I tried crocheting one once and it's just not the same. 😫
Yesterday I decided I better go take my paint sample down to compare with the new couch color. OMG! I am so glad I did that! It would have been puke awful if I'd decided to go ahead with what I'd chosen! Have a new color now so I'm ready to paint! Bill started the Kilz coat last night while I went to movie night at Sherry's house. I didn't know he was going to do that so what a nice surprise when I got home!! (We watched Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, good flick!). Anyway, today Mark and Kate are coming to help paint so after we get this Kilz coat finished I'll go buy the paint. By the time they get here this afternoon, it will be dry enough to do the color. Yay!!
Hope you all have a great day!
Pegi, wow is all I can say. Something so new pretty scary I am sure.
Sue you DDD, me AA. haha. Hope all goes well for you in your endevore.
We are going to go to a neighborhood sale today. Iam sure we will find lots of goodies. We do have a new someone named Avery to buy for! Lol.
got a paain blocker yesterday, and was able to walk a mile after dinner! they will do the radio frequency procedure after the next pain blocker. the rf should last up to a year.
Does anyone have any mens ties they don't need anymore, I have a friend on Facebook that is collecting them.
Hi everyone......
Pegi - so sorry to hear those words that "cannot be unsaid"....... holding you close in my heart and prayers.
Marion - I agree with all of the above, including "Take Back Your Life"
so much was said, that I'm missing a lot, but love you all dearly.
Holy Week was busy, busy, busy, and I'm just now starting to get past the "busy"........
now, for my job:
On Friday, had a meeting with Chair of Board of Trustees (Bill) and the current Treasurer (Les).
During the meeting, Bill had to go for a few minutes and Les said "thank you Susan, for helping with this - I was lost and you knew the right answers to Bill's questions". He was SO relieved I did....
After the meeting, Les had to go to pick up his wife, so Bill & I were talking. He said - "We know that Les isn't an accountant, and I had no idea he was so far behind (November) and I wish I'd known so I could have helped him." Bill btw, used to be a CFO - he's retired and wouldn't have the time/energy to do the Accountant/Treasurer position.
I guess this means they're glad they have me there!! I'm really happy in this job, too :-)
susan, looks like they are going to keep you. that is so encourageing for you. good luck
Yay, Susan! Bout time you found the right fit! You go, girl!
:-) Thanks
Susan ,Sweetie we are on a new page ............. Come find us !
