Beautiful but cool day here. It was so good to have our dinner already prepared to eat when we returned from church. We have been enjoying the weather and playing "Bananas". Or if you prefer, going bananas.

Not looking forward to Kim's going home tomorrow but maybe I will be able to follow soon.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Pretty neat looking. My aunt made a whole garden with shoes and boots for planters. She has some hanging in a tree also.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Love, love, love it!

Just got home from son and DILs. Had ham, mashed potatoes (boxed 😖) green bean casserole and rolls. Ham was really good. I brought some home to make split pea soup. Yum!

I spent most of the day in the garden. I'm really pleased with what I got done. Lots of clean up. Still have lots to do, but I'm trying to get those little buggers that throw their seeds everywhere when they get older. They're everywhere in the garden. Plus I'm trying to get all the dandelions before they get all puffy! Big job!😬

Hope you all had a wonderful day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy that fence is awesome!

Hope you all had a great Easter. We were busy here with my son Andy and family! They left about 6 last night and I was exhausted!

We put them on the floor to color eggs, then they discovered my stacks of garden soil and red mulch, so of course they had to climb on that! Then they found a snail!

Good morning.

Kathy, you ugly wall is looking real cute!!
I like the idea of shoes filled with flowers/plants.

Glad to see your feeling better Karen...If I had a bunch of grands, i would wa.t them all at one time too. Your coment sure made me smile!

Oh Linda kay, what fun I sure enjoyed atching you grands! Lol i bet you were tired after all that energy.

Well... I don't ask often, but can you please add Our David to prayers? He spent some time in emergency...something with his heart. Julia is just beside herself with worry...He has to go for a stress test, and some other testing.

Other then that, just a busy day today out in the gardens.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter day. We bad a very nice visit at Cuz Joyces...

I hope this post makes it to the thread! Last couple days ive made a post and poof. Lol maybe need to slow down!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

prating for david.
If'n y'all could find it in your hearts to pray for my daughter Katie, it would be appreciated. She keeps having seizurs and they don't know why. She has been in the hospital 3 day and has had 18 seizures.

Glenview, IL

Thank you Kathy...
Yes adding Katie to my prayers.

How very scary! I hope they find whats causing these siegures quickly and its an easy remedy.
Has she ever had any in the past?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

no, they just started, went to the hospital, because she has COPD and was having trouble breathing, and just started having seizures. They transferred her to a bigger and better hospital, but it's still a mystery.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Having Easter for Amelia today, her mom and dad both had to work yesterday. so we decided after nap time today.
Also going to pick up some outdoor play things for her. Woman is closing her day care and has great prices.

I'm feeling better, still not much appetite but that's OK, slowly but surely getting there. All things considered not bad, I very seldom get sick but when I do it's a doosey.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

glad your feeling better and enjoy your easter today!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers for Davis and Katie!

Enjoy your Easter Karen!

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Linda, I take PHENTERMINE 375MG.
I GET A VITAMIN B SHOT 2 IMES A WEEK TO, TAKE A VITAMIN FOR ENERGY 2 TIMES A DAY AND B COMPLEX VITAMINS EVERY DAY.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Good for you Kathy, I know it's exciting to see progress.

Awesome! I love going to ultra sounds, Is this first or to find out gender? Always fun to find out although every time it's just what you wanted. LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Be careful taking that med Kathy, we don't need you getting hooked on it.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I'm careful, I take it only as directed.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending prayers for David and Katie.
Looks like Easter was lots of fun. The children are adorable. Doesn't take much to keep them happy - something to climb on and an insect or such.
Glad to hear of the weight loss but I too ask that you be careful.
Can't wait to hear how the ultrasound came out Ronna.
Love your fence planters Kathy.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Amazing that kids find the most unlikely stuffs to play with, eh Grandma LK?
I miss the sound of kids yesterday.. send me one next year!

Karen, I'm happy that you're feeling better! So understand your needs to have all the babies around you. Thanksgiving and Christmas would be a nice opportunity.

Sis Kathy, I love your fence. You did a good job. I had a living fence too back in La. Nailed some ferns and air plants to that.. you just reminded me to nail some of Kel's old boots to mine:D Please be careful with your meds.
Prayers said for Katie, hope she gets an MRI soon.

Hey Sistah Judy.. sorry to read of David. Sending Julia hugs and I ask the Lord to heal David.

It was a beautiful day in Ohio then if you get to play in the garden Cookie. Adding anything new to your lovely pond?

Ronna, Avery Layne is a very exotic name! So now your shopping trips will have her on the top of your list!

Read on FB that Kim got home safe, Marion. Hope your sister is accepting the fact that Kim's also the love of your life.

Hi Barb! I bet you and Norm had a nice reunion besides the food.

Pegi.. did you cook yesterday. Wish we could take you both out for Easter.

Sue, Tom seems like a romantic? Sometimes us women need some warm blood to let us know that we exist!
May he keeps you happy always.

We had Easter dinner at Cracker Barrel. It's MIL's first visit and she ate all her grilled chicken. Kel had country fried chicken while I had fish. Got there at 11 and we had a 10 min wait for a table. After that meal, off to BooksAMillion we went.
Picked of course some quilting mags, and got MIL "Heaven can wait" which she'd been wanting.
Baby steps here when it comes to our relationship since FIL's death. Her oldest son cuts off all ties since she refused to give him part of the insurance money.
Why do the rich want more?

My ears are still ringing. A few more days of anitibiotics here. Can't think straight at times nor interact over the phone :(
I wish you all a good week.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Nice to hear from you Jaye. Hope your feeling better soon.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks LK. Think I lost some brain cells!! Been sleeping lots.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sleeping is good for you Jaye.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Prayers going up for David, Judy. Tell Julia I'm sending her a cyber hug, too.

Kathy I'm so sorry to hear about Katie. I sure hope they can find out what's causing this. Prayers going up for her, too.

No new things for the pond. Water is clear as a bell but only the poor 12 fishies. 😞
We're wanting to clean the pond really well this year. After that maybe I'll add a few more fish. Bertie said if we can catch some of her extras I can have them. We'll see.....

Had a great time at lunch today. Couldn't eat at the Spaghetti Warehouse cause they don't open till 4. We were there for lunch last time, but it was a weekend. They're open for lunch on Sat and Sun. So we went to Red Lobster. It was yummy. I got a pretty, huge garden cloche, a cute nodding head cat for the garden, a case for my IPAD, an angel wind chime and a cute pair of silver earrings. What a fun day!! Then we stopped at Overstock Cincinnati and I found the couch I want. After that we went to a nursery and looked at the pet animals they have there. They had a pair of white peacocks that were soooo pretty. He kept strutting around with his tail feathers out. Not sure who he was trying to impress, us or the peahen. They also have a blue set and they have two juvenile males. He was strutting, too. Then there are the goats, alpaca, chickens and two ostriches. That was all before we went in to see all there plants. They don't have any perennials yet, but they had such neat annuals! I couldn't resist two plants. I'd never seen them before and you know how I love the rare and odd stuff!

I'll get a picture for you in a bit. Still expecting the carpet guy to come measure today.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Kim called me when she got home....boy,it was hard not to follow in my car.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I've been sleeping a lot.. too much for my sanity

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

My SIL bought my daughter a peacock right after they first got the farm. Within a couple day it flew away because the vet left the barn door open. They never saw it again.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cross posted Sue. Hang on to Tom!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Bertie is such a good friend, Cookie. But you're a good neighbour too.

Will the vet reimburse that peacock, Karen? I hope so.

It get me lazy, LK. There's so much to do in the garden since I'm not getting any help from Kel. last year, my garden looked like a meadow. This year, it would be untamed pasture!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Will do Jaye.

Sorry to hear the peacock flew away.

Cookie can't wait to see what you got.
