That girl Sue is always off and running!! When does she stop to smell the roses.. oh wait.. don't answer! Tom will make her stop :D

Marion, will the floor be planks? You know pirates aren't used to fancy stuffs!

Sis Kathy, beautiful blooms there. No weeding for me, but did pull away a few carolina jessamine vines from my clematis.

LK, I'm being very careful with my walking. Can't rush much and wishing there's some kind of magic potion that can heal everything.. including Kel!! Lol!!

These are the only iris in bloom. Sad to say, I may not get much more as the heat's here.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

the iris is beautiful jaye. are you feeling better?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Planked in the rest of thehouse........ tile in the sewing area. Okay guys errrh gals, it isn't just me but Kim is also a pirate freak. Just doesn't have the good taste that her mother does. She thinks Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) is the top pirate. Boy did I do a lousy job training her. :-)

Back from the grocery store and a quick visit with a former teacher friend of Sue's who is ill. We have decided to cook dinner and take into them so bought groceries for that. Sue's idea so she is beginning to be more social and thinking clearer. Of course she doesn't cook much so I will be preparing the dinner but she did ask me nicely......besides I will enjoy doing it for Martin and his wife.

On the warm side this afternoon but we do have a nice breeze blowing. If I could find a hammock I would be tempted to take a nap.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

marion, glad sue is doing better.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, I like JD better! Bless you for cooking for your friends!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I think I also have vertigo sis Kathy! But Im alive.

That looks so peaceful Joyce. I would love to be sitting there with my knitting or my hand sewing. Just letting the world go by in it's own time and me in mine......

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

You got that right, but the cooling of the day is chasing me inside now!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful scenery Cookie! Have a cold one for me please?

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Well, the oncologist said it is time to try the chemo/radiation shot. No chemo today. He said he could do a bone marrow biopsy, but he says he would find cancer cells there too. Not good news. Have to have a consult with doctor before getting the shot. He also needs 2 units of blood scheduled for the 25th , then on 30th he has an appointment with Palliative care. He gave him some liquid meds. to help increase his appetite. I'm really getting mixed up with appointments, good thing I can go on web site an all future appointments are listed there. The chemo/radiation shot is once a month for 6th months. I think that is his last option. He is aching all over and I know he is miserable, so when he lashes out I bite my tongue (tongue is getting sore too). Don't know what the PSA level is yet, they have to send that out to another lab.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers your way Pegi.

wonderful day today
Tom and i hit Dayton Art Institute , then walked along the river front. sat on a bench swing and he leaned over and kissed me and said " I love you to the moon and back "
We ate an european restaurant don't remember name. Pretty pricey ! yikes. but good food.
weather was beautiful today.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Awe! How sweet. How did you guys meet?

here is the artist we saw today amoung many others but this was a special exhibit.
http://isabellakirkland.com/
we meet at a club. he enjoys the same wine i do and we went from there. :)

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Isn't she fabulous? Some of the garden club girls may go see her stuff before it leaves. I can't believe how realistic her paintings look!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

WOW! Her work is awesome!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Looks like Tom is a renaissance guy, Sue. Arts, good music and wine, you can't go wrong and he treats you good too.

Pegi, how helpful it is that you can look up online for Darwin's appts. Kel had to keep track of FIL and he didn't do a good job at that.

Hugs for all my sistahs here... goodnite all, sleep well.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sweet dreams everyone!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, our doctors office has what they call an online Portal. Can make appointments, check on appointments, request med refill, see test results, and send messages back and forth. Ours downstate had it too. I really like it as it's much easier than calling. I usually get answers to questions and replies to messages in a rather short time.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. Hope everyone is feeling good today.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I feel good, but I am sore. I over did I yesterday. doing things and lifting things I shouldn't have.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Gotta be careful Kathy!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I know, and i'm on my way out to the yard now, to trim tree branches a weeds.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Supposed to rain today, but for now the skies are beautiful. Boy, do I need to weed badly..
Karen, it's not that sophisticated here, yet. We can hear our test results via phone though. No online portals yet, guess it's just a small town.

Ok. Kel's struggling to clear some stuffs.. I'll be back.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We don't have anything like that either. We have to go in for another paid visit to get results, our Dr. says it is against the law to give result over the phone! I say bull!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm with you Linda. These HIPA laws are a good thing in a lot of ways but a PITA in others. Things like being able to talk to Norm's doctor (written permission) but not able to talk to the nurse or receptionist even about appointments is a pain!!! I'm grateful Norm can get all that info on line now. Needs two separate pin numbers but that's okay......

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I love the online system. Calling the office is such a pain, I never do any more.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Mercy me! You can't find out your results over the phone LK? That saves us a trip and money, plus it frees the doctors and nurses time.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

We also get a card in the mail telling us our appointment, time & doctor too. I have a large wipe & erase calendar on my fridge door too which helps me out. Only time I used the site to contact my doctor is for a written prescription for a pain med. They let me know when it is ready to be picked up and taken to the pharmacy. Most meds. are put in computer so we just have to show our medical card and it gets filled. Last time I picked up one for DH something happened and didn't show up on computer so they gave it to me for free. Good deal, as it was $54. Those good things don't happen very often.

Aww, Sue what a romantic guy!! Sayings like that could turn my head around and around. LOL

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Our dr's send our scripts to the drug store via computer, all except narcotics, them you have to take to the drug store yourself. Some of the dr.'s will give you results over the phone as others won't.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

We had to tell our doctors to stop giving the prescriptions straight to a pharmacy. That doesn;t allow us to price check. Rather have it on hand and do our comparison shopping.
WM had us stuck one time on the automatic refills, when we found we could get it cheaper at another pharmacy, but we didn't have paper on hand.

Fifty dollars can be put to may Carnations breakfast meals, Pegi
