Dad had his toe removed yesterday, when the Dr. came out to talk to my Sis, he told her that it had a major infection at the base of the toe, and he tried his best to get it all, but his concern was there was hardly any blood flow during the removal of the toe. He said it won't be long before he has to have the foot or leg removed, as he has no blood flow! Keep him in your prayers please?

This happened to my late paternal grandma. Her right leg below the ankle was amputated for the same reason 30 years ago. Hopefully, that isn't necessary for your dad.
Hitting 75 today, but not for long. Think I'll do some yard work outside.

Linda I do hope all the infection was removed from your dad's foot. Darned diabetes, I'm paranoid in the care of my feet. I used to never wear shoes if it could be avoided, but now am never without something on my feet. Won't get a pedicure either.
Karen, I daren't walk around barefoot, even in the house. Pedicure is out of the question too.

don juan, Michael bought me queen Elizabeth, now I need golden showers. replacing my favorite climbers that I left. need Jacobs coat or robe, or whatever it is he wears. seen it at I think Jackson and perkins.

I had ordered some roses from Jackson's. The ones that didn't get killed by Japanese Beetles, revert back to stock parents. Tropicana supposed to be a hybrid tea, was that way for the first few years then went back to being a red floribunda. Didn't cut it down, as it's more reselient to the bugs.

Sue is not doing well at all...very serious depression. She has been going to group therapy but it is not working. She had a serious episode during church yesterday and thank God the person who was sitting behind us was a therapist. (Physcologist...sp.?). She tapped us on our shoulders and motioned us to go out into the lobby. Am I glad she did as what followed was so upsetting. Short version, I will be taking her in this afternoon. Not sure what next...Sue has lost the desire to live. Please keep us in your prayers.

Thanks LK... talking to a sistah now. She thinks Sue has broken heart syndrom. She doesn't have much to divert her grief.. no kids.. and Marion lives too far.

Thanks everyone. I won't say that I didn't expect some grief issues and yes depressionto happen. I am just so surprised how bad she was. She has been in group therapy and seemed to be doing so well...then bang it all came tumbling down. The extremely bad reaction to the Cymbalta and having to be taken to the ER was just to much. Did go with her to see her primary doctor today so hopefully the new meds will work. The doctor did tell me to keep the meds in my possesion and that someone needs to be with her 24/7. If she is not showing improvement soon I need to take her to the hospital. Please pray that isn't the steps I will have to take. For now it is one day at a time.

I'm on a little late, but I'm adding my prayers for Marion and her sister Sue. Pray that the new meds will help her and bring her back to friends and family completely healed. Depression is such a terrible state to go through. Just watched a 2 yr. old sing The Lord's Prayer. You just couldn't stop watching her, so adorable. ((((Hugs))))

Doing a lot better Jaye. Still got a bit of a cough, but getting better.
Dad is back in the nursing home, and the nurses there will keep an eye on the toe that was removed. As soon as thy can get him mobile, they will try to get him in physical therapy, to see if they can develop some muscles. He is having a hard time just getting out of or into bed, or from the wheel chair to the bathroom.
