Good morning.

My doctor insists I get a flu and pneumonia as he said any with heart problems, or above a certain age, should be doing that. Kel doesn't have heart issues, but take them annually now since he's exposed to immates and that working environment isn't a healthy one.

Hope this time, you'll be over that nasty infection, LK! Summer and winter in 2 months isn't healthy for anyone!!

Thunder, the torii is somewhat like a gate to the spiritual world. It would be a beautiful center motif, I'm sure you'd be using your EQ for ideas. Work. quilt.. work.. quilt.. do you cook? I'm sure Dave helps out a lot at home, so you can indulge in your hobby.

Pegi, I can't seem to keep my eyes open long enough to finish a chapter!!

Sue, hopefully the civility between you and Tim continues. My ex and I make great exes!! Kel even adores him!

My uncle died on the 2nd and coincidentally, my mother died on the 3rd. My sister told me that they had prepared a large 'anniversary' feast for guests on the day our uncle died. Family had to cancel the prayers anniversary and brought all that food to my uncle's home.
This uncle was my mum's favorite brother.

Have a fantastic Friday sistahs. Enjoy your weekend.

Hello my dear sistahs.

Happy at the good news on our new little DGGD! Looking forward to seeing you soon, Karen.

Hope you feel better, too, LK!

Well, my sistahs, I've been one sick puppy. I went to a fun seminar yesterday in Springfield and felt fine all day. However, I cleaned house for one of my ladies on Wednesday and after I was already there she told me that the whole household had been really sick. So I stayed and cleaned.

At 12:10 this morning I started throwing up and I did it every half hour until 4:09. Then it slowed down and the diarrhea started. I threw up 12 times. I was so dehydrated. I've had two cups of tea a cup of chicken noodle soup, and now I'm trying to drink a little coffee cause I'm getting a caffeine headache. I'm really weak. I was supposed to clean another house today, but I called and said I'd clean on Monday. I just hope that the girls I was with yesterday don't get this crap!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I had a whole big post, but poof! I'm too weak to retype it. I've been so sick throwing up a total of 12 times with diarrhea to boot. So dehydrated.

Oh look! There it is after all!

hope you get better sissy.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks, me, too.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

There is a lot of that going around. I'm hoping I don't get it. DGGS Jojo had it. Dr. said was a virus, and it comes and goes. Then DGD and DGS got it and DGGD then her daddy, DGS. I was doing my best to avoid it. Seems to last several days.

I'm feeling OK so far but if I get it I will isolate myself to keep everyone here from getting it. BTW Pepto Bismol seemed to help some.

If you start to feel better, it might come back at you.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I don't want what you're having Cookie!!! But I've been cleaning my bowels out after pasta and pesto lunch! too much pesto and those pine nuts got to me.
Get you some sports drinks. You need to replenish those minerals.

Karen, my doctor said, the best cure for diarrhea is to not stop it. Germs should be flushed!! :Lol! I find Ammodium helps too.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm hoping its on its way out!

Lovely day here. Hate to be laying on the couch all day!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I have diarrhea always so I will only know if I start throwing up,

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope your feeling better soon Cookie.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Yuck kind of in a nasty little thread right now. Well no diarreha or throwing up here. Thank God. Hope you all feel better soon. Some of my family member have bad colds now. Even my poor pregnant daughter. My neice is getting married in Vegas next week and she is so sick right now too. Poor ladies. Linda wow I hope you are feeling better soon five meds? Joycet you feeling better? Yes I always get a flu shot too. I work in a hospital and they are provided free. Course they do not want you to call in.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh Lordy ,Lordy not sure I want to come in here with all you Ladies that are not feeling well. ^_^
Hope all of YOU are feeling better soon Spring is coming!!!!!!

Have any of you read about El Nino? Very interesting to read, so hopefully next winter we will get enough water to fill our lakes back up. Even though we have had some good rain days this last week, it wasn't enough to get us out of serious drought. Lots of ppl being cited for water waste in Southern Cali, so sad.

I have been sowing seeds indoors, I have 3 Jiffy trays of flowers and vegetables, lol. First flower sees to pop up were Purple Zinnas I got from LK, can't wait to see them. Hoping to get outside tomorrow and plants some seeds, we are to have a little more rain then in the 70's for awhile ^_^

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Cindy. Glad to hear the seeds are growing for you.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

LK, my DH has cancer cells in his bones so I'm not too surprised that he aches. Besides the doctors have told him he is full of arthritis. If the cancer goes outside the prostate it usually goes into the bones, thank God no other organs are involved. Just wish there was a way to flush those evil cancer cells out of the bones. He has been really weak the last few days and has been using his oxygen more often. I'm sorry to hear so many are feeling poorly. Get better soon!!

Spring is just around the corner and I hope that brings much relief to all of you. It feels like it has been here for a long time. Hey Cindy, I haven't heard that people were being sited for wasting water. I suppose some people don't think they will get fined if they waste water. We don't waste too much as you can tell tell by our brown lawn. Even with all that wonderful rain we just have green around the edges of the yard. Of course, the weeds in back are growing so fast that I can't pull them out fast enough.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry Pegi, hope he finds some relief soon!

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Jaye, I have not used EQ in ages!! I keep saying I should play, but I don't seem to get to it.

no, I don't cook!! well 99 % of the time I don't. hubs does it all. I help here and there, ya know peel the potatoes, or chop some veggies...but for the most part, he does it. he does most of the house work too!! ^_^ I am very spoiled. I can not tolerate most cleaning materials, scents cause me breathing issues.

I am leaving tomorrow for NC to see my girls, I will be gone all week. probably won't be on line much. they were all sick yesterday and day before. hope it is all gone by the time we get there!!!

well I best get off the computer and get ready for work.

Y'All be good, and sew something wonderful !! Hugs ♥♥♥♥♥

can't remember if I shared this?? Malena giving Daddy doll a sled ride

Have a great time T. Safe travels.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Oh, Thunder, you are so lucky to have a man that cleans and cooks. Would I love to be spoiled like that!! Have a safe trip.

Weather is still nice, just have to push myself to get some work done. I should start some seeds, have plenty of small containers, was going to start last month. Hope all of you are getting better, just keep saying spring will be here soon and lots of warmer days.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm doing better, thanks. I'm really, really sore and weak though. Hope none of you get this!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Glad to hear you are doing better joycet, this flu, etc. is taking a toll on so many.

Is anyone in the dark ages as far as computers are concerned? I still have Windows XP and after April 8th there willl be no support for it. Found a web site that gave out this informmation and my PC is too old to handle some of the newer technology. Now I definitely know I need that new PC. Wish I could contain more information, but is is so complicated. What I need is a good informant to go with me to shop. I use Java a lot because I play the pogo games and sometimes the games on Facebook and it wouldn't work on Firefox or Chrome, but on AOL browser. Just try and figure that one out. Letters are dissapearing on my keyboard, but that is the least of my problems for now.

It got up to 84 today, I should have been out playing in the yard. DH seems to be feeling a litter stronger, but not much. He stays glued to the TV set when he isn't laying down.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I bought a white paint pen and repaint the keys as needed. If I do it last thing at night, they are dry by morning.

I like shopping at Best Buy. No commission so they aren't pushy but will help and give good advice. I'm about ready to upgrade. I've had Windows 7 since it came out and never did really like it. I play on Pogo a lot too. Use the same name.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thanks Karen, guess I will shop at Best Buy. And I'm going to get that white paint pen too. I've noticed my T is gone and a line left on my R. Keyboard needs a cleaning too. They said Windows XP has been out 12 years, well I've had it 10 so definitely need a change. Sometimes I see nice keyboards at the thrift store and they sure look better than mine. Some are marked $1.91 and then I get a 20% discount. I'm a thrift store junkie. LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Pegi we bought ours at best buy too. I went in and ask a lot of questions. Told them I needed a basic computer that had enough memory and ram so I could play my Facebook games. We looked at a few computers and she told me all the differences. From there it was a matter of choosing what brand I wanted.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Best Buy employees seem to be very knowledgable. I've never been disappointed with any of my purchases.

hello
Cookie feel better soon.
just a busy day here
went out with friend on friday and oh lawdy ... i got into mischief ! . i m to old for this stuff LOL. saturday i slept all day. LOL still feel it in my bones . but kids have activities today
snow tubing , birthday party and we need to get a present still.
oh gonna be a busy one
got to run
ttyl

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

My friend is trying to get me to buy a laptop, but I'm determined to stick with my desk top computer. I've been on web sites most of the morning and that's enough to truly confused me all the more. Just need the basic computer too, enough memory and ram too. How about all those pictures we transfer into computer from our cameras. That takes up a lot of memory too, right?? I've decided I like Dell, this is the one I'm using and have had no problems until old age set in for it. Definitely will make Best Buy for shopping for computer.

Sue, you will have to stop getting into mischief, I think that would be my downfall. When I was maid of honor at friend's wedding more years than I care to think about, I got enough courage (yes liquid courage) to look up a guy I went out with a few times and flirt a little. Got his attention too. I would never have done that without a few drinks. I was pretty shy back then and men intimated me. LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm awake! Someone forget to tell me that the cats need feeding!

Pegi, I had purchased a desktop at BestBuy and their geek squad are very helpful. They will try to find something within your means and for what you like to do.
Yes, it seems your processor is too slow for the new aps now.
I'm still on Windows 7, and Kel's Probook has been restored to Windows 7 from Windows 8. Seems alot of Windows 8 users aren't happy. The current OS is Windows 8.1
Good luck Pegi!

Oh get into mischief any time Sue!! It's much healthier than crying!
You're funny Pegi.. liquid courage! Only time I get into that sort of mischief is telling a guy to zip up his pants... at a club!

Hope you're up for some feel good time, LK. You've been through the gamuts of antibiotics.

I forgot to tell you, the next time you feel dehydrated Cookie.. boil some rice water and drink that with honey.

How is our precious Becky, Karen? Has she gone home yet?

Warm here sistahs. The flies are hungry and couldn't wait for the cats to finish their food. I got a can of Raid waiting. (on the back porch). For now it's mosquito free!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Becka isn't home as yet, I think they are waiting until she has had her full course of antibiotics. She is out of the isolette, breathing well and keeping her temp good. She's also eating very well from a bottle now and will lose the feeding tube and go to breast soon.
Big ole tough Marine daddy bought her a sweet diaper bag with her name embroidered on it.

Awe! Is Daddy home on leave?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

How sweet is that?!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

No his tour is over but he's talking about re-upping. I tease him because he tries to come off as so tough but I catch him being a softie.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Becky's already got her little fingers wrapped around Daddy!

Just came back from furgrocery shopping and that should be a short chore right? Not so.. so many little cute babies in buggies that I have to stop them and talk to the little blessed ones. Not one single mother protest.. but of course.. you all know me, I have to say a silent prayer over them :)
That's the beauty of life. One day you're crying over a loss and the next, you smile and coo at a little miracle.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye, you are such a wonderful, thoughtful soul. You epitomize Christianity. I love you, Sister.
