it was 58 degrees yesterday and I cleaned up my all season garden bed.Now I can admire the flowers from my front window.
weather in the garden #136
crocus up here as well along with some hellebore buds too. just ordered a bunch more hellebore from a coop.
53° rain is coming overnight & tomorrow. The 'snow' crocus are flowering but not the complete circle of planting. Perhaps they are not as coming as the common kind.
Found some crocus in one of the perennial beds........wish I had more....the rain should green up the lawn.
50 and rain. some crocus is in bloom.
i keep finding crocus popping up where is did not plant them - voles not doubt
squirrels also. DH says the seeds can scatter.
Foggy, but showers have stopped. Headed up to Sturbridge to have lunch with friends.
3/4" of rain overnight 62°
57 and sunny
43° bright sun
Sunny & moving into the 50s today....going outside to rake......
44 and sunny
59 degrees and sunny , spent most of the day in Manhattan with my daughter and we had lunch at TgFridays.
Great day yesterday. Up to 62 and sunny. I moved rocks yesterday and thought of wha. Since we won't be around this summer our neighbor is going to mow and one bed has big rocks as edging which would never get trimmed, I'm sure, so I removed them to make it easier to mow. Jeff asked if I had help. I said proudly, NOPE. But I was getting wha vibes the whole time. And I kept repeating...use your legs not your back.
Good work! I did rake yesterday, but it was so windy, I couldn't bag everything....trying again this morning, should continue sunny & 60!
52° hazy sun Much raking to do
I worked out for 2 hours yesterday.....today it's cloudy with showers....guess it will be an indoor clean-up session....
55° overcast
Sunny & 68 today.....will get more work done outside this afternoon....too wet right now.....
70 and sunny
Sprinkling as I was coming down from the farm this morning....should clear & hit 70 here as well....lovely!
It's a little grey here, but dry so far. The garden is beginning to wake up, but not much going on yet. And no burnt rubber smell in Torrington last night ;-)
49° overcast & a few sprinkles as we were coming home from church. We need another warm DRY day!
We were close to 80 today and was a beautiful day ,also went to church and did not need a coat. Forsythias are blooming.
Cooled back down into the 50s & felt damp. Gardening day wasted.
Another 70 degree day forecast for today.....then rain! Then snow flurries! Then cold! I have most of my lawn raked, will put lime on it today....also on all my clems. I was in Torrington Fri. Pam. Went right by the warehouse....you're right, no smell left, but DEP still concerned about all the tiny bits of rubber left on streets & in storm drains......
65° hazy sun
70 and trying to rain. temps dropping for tomorrow and snow was mentioned
my daffs have popped!
Mine are starting, too! Wind driven rain right now, but the lawn is greening up & that's a plus......hate the thought of snow, even if there's no accumulation.....
2" this am. with the weather being warm the last few days, the roads are fine
60° windy & overcast off & on mist
Rainy dreary day , but I am glad for the rain to help my perennials to keep sprouting . I sowed poppies and hollyhocks in fall cant wait to see them coming up.
62, but cold windy rain
it rained a bit - not enough
New rain here, Bill.
Almost 2" of rain here ending in 1" of snow.....driveway total sheet of ice.....lovely.....
1" of rain & under an inch of snow. most is melted now 39°
