I just talked to Terri and she is off to visit her Mom in the hospital who is recovering from a scheduled surgery last Wed and an unscheduled fall resulting in a badly broken ankle requiring several surgeries.....I passed on our thoughts and concerns and well wishes all around. She may check in here later but she did pass the baton to me to carry on. So, I'm co-sponsor now and we will let Terri/Aspenhill have some peace and quiet and only daily up-dates and changes from Doc and family and not from us avid plant procurers! And only from me to her on an as needed basis.

As it stands, we will continue under the guidelines Terri first outlined at the top of this thread.

Please review them and any orders you have placed while I go off and set up the thread and first five posts for Part Two!

And, please do not post on the Part Two thread until I link to it .

Thanks, Judy

Coleup, here are some plants I have that are identified as hosts for the Baltimore checkerspot:

Chelone glabra (white turtlehead)
Chelone lyonii (pink turtlehead)
Rudbeckia hirta (e.g., Denver daisy)
Rudbeckia fulgida var. fulgida
Lonicera sempervirens
Solidago rugosa
Coreopsis lanceolata
Symphyotrichum novae-angliae

Goodness, turn my back for a moment and look at all the activity!

COLEUP:
--I can repost this on Part II if you like.
--Viola Silver Gem: I would like up to a net of a full flat (either size). I have stakes in two different flats. I love that plant!
--Aster 'Snow Flurry': You asked about my size preference. 32 would be safer.
--Amsonia "Blue Ice": I'd like to split a flat of 72 with Critter (assuming she is ok w/ that) -- otherwise, I'll take a full flat -- I am going to LOVE that plant. (I had already requested full flat, so this request supersedes that one.)

YEHUDITH and CRITTER: Can I get in on the Hellebores 'Candy Love'? Can we divide 3 ways? Or did you each affirmatively want 1/2 flat (in which case, that's totally fine of course)?

CRITTER: With respect to what you mentioned above:
--Amsonia Blue Ice: Since only the flats of 72 are available, can we split one flat?
--Asclepias incarnata 'Ice Ballet': I had asked Coleup for 1/4 of her flat, but I don't see that memorialized -- if that isn't working out, I'd take 1/4 of your flat.
--Viola Silver Gem: See above
--Carex m. 'Ice Dance' (or 'Silver Scepter'): I'd take 1/4 flat of either -- can't take more because it requires moisture. But Coleup indicated it won't be available....

Apparently either white or pink turtlehead works for the checkerspots!

Hello everyone,I'm a little late joining this thread. How much would 1/2 flat of Baptista aust.be ?
And is there any way to put lavender munsted on the plug list?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Heya, Sos! Good to see you again. We're really trying to finalize the order now... Terri (Aspenhill) has final say, of course, but while we can still add whole flats (depending on availability), it's going to be hard to put together partial orders in time.

As for the lavender, even with all my back & forth to Pittsburgh i'm determined to get out to DeBaggio's (out towards Dulles) this month, so Dmail me and let me know what you're looking for -- size, price, does it have to be 'Munstead' -- and I can play "personal shopper" for you. They don't always have everything on the list, but see http://www.debaggioherbs.com/ Better yet, take a drive out there with DH on a sunny day, if you can. :-)

Coleup, if you'll send me a list of the Monarch Waystation flats you have put on order and let me know how many "waystation shares" you want to divide them into, I will do a spreadsheet THIS WEEKEND while I'm up in Pittsburgh. I can calculate price per plant and price per assortment. I can also pull out any partial flats that you want to reserve for yourself before divvying up the rest, but I need the numbers. Dmail me, and I'll help!
