Thanks Carole.
Sweet Interruptions. Rm 271
Praying for you, Jaye..... sending warm and gentle hugs to you.....
It is so comforting when I know my sisters care to take time to pray for me. Love you Susan.
Praying for you too, Jaye. That must have been scary for you. Take care of yourself as we cannot function very well without your chatter.
A funny one to put a little smile on your face. Took Sami to the groomers, she needed grooming in the worst way. Of course, Mandy wasn't happy that she couldn't go, just whined all the time. Went to pick up Sami and she doesn't look like the same dog. Well, Mandy just knew that this was a different dog we brought home. She barked and barked and was so scared. Now Mandy never saw Sami with a hair cut, wondering how long it will take before they are friends again. Mandy used to pull on the fur on Sami ears and now she won't be able to do that. I should be ashamed of myself letting Sami get so obese. With all that excess fur you couldn't tell how chubby she became.
DH is planning on going fishing on Thursday, just hope that is one of his good days. Sami will be able to visit her mama and papa too. They are so slender compared to Sami. Just wish they didn't live so far. Got gas for $3.59 a gallon, lowest we've seen that in a very long time.
Pegi, gas is $2.98 here!
its 349 here.
oh linda, he's a buety, can I have him and luna? if not then i'll settle for coffee.
I have plenty of coffee.
that's what I thought. I had to try though
:)
Awe!
Awwww. Sweet doggies. ♥
My Molly is afraid of the camera too, I can hardly ever get a picture of her as she runs and hides as soon as she sees me with it.
They must be Amish dogs......hehehe....
awwww Kathy - a new best doggy friend!! Thank you for sharing!
if the doggie don't stop destroying my house, I will be shipping her to you
Puppies love to chew!
Good day sisters!
Pegi, that's funny about Mandy not recognizing Sami! Mandy must have caught some scent first, and yet she depends on her visual? Lola would sniff out a newbie if she doesn't recognise the cat. Then she starts barking!!!
Awww LK.. you have a heart bigger than Texas! Lucky Blackie! For sure, you'd have round the house protection. GS are social creatures, they love to play.
Hi Karen. How are you feeling lately?
Susan, any new development on your trailer park? I do hope you won't be forced to move from there.
Sis Kathy, can't believe Gidget is a skeerdy kat!!! Lolol!! That ain't no Tide dog for sure!! Yah, give it an old leather shoe with Saban's face on it, he'd be happy chewing!
Cookie, when you say Amish, I have to think again, then I remember watching on tv, how Amish instantly turn around when they see cameras!!! Lol!!! Funny!!
My side is still sore, so I up the pain pills, and that improves my mood! Lolol!! A much more happier Jaye kinda triggers the cats into being much more rambunctious. Hey look, let's rough house.. mummy ain't yelling!!!
Hehehee.. gonna make some coffee with choco. Of course, the dark choco kind. Sewing more.
Karen and LK, I have your blocks ready. Will try to mail them out along with Betty's soon.
May my sisters laugh often, live happy and love deeply... according to Cookie!!
I think Mandy now accepts Sami as her friend again. At least she has stopped barking at her and does a lot of sniffing. No more long hair on the ears for Mandy to grab a hold of and pull.
Just talked to my brother this AM. His cancer is stage 4 and surgery is scheduled for Nov. 6th. Doctors are 99% sure spots on his lungs are cancer too. Will know more after his surgery. I'm still in a state of shock, now DH and brother are battling cancer together. I need a lot of prayers.
They are on the way Pegi. And will continue.
Jaye - re: Trailer Park- we will be bought out by the City. When, we don't know - could be 1 or 2 years, or more.
Thing is, they have to build us some housing to replace the trailers. The City says they don't want to move us from our current area of town. They will be building a whole bunch of types of housing - seniors, low income, condos (no, they wouldn't move us into a condo - wouldn't want to, too on-going expensive), and other types. They're apparently building on the spot where we currently have our homes.
Sending lots of prayers Pegi.
Doing good Jaye, enjoying our time in TN. Finally got Sammi to ride her two wheeler with out training wheels, now taking her for new bike as I promised and she has out grown the old one. We're helping the kids get moved to a new house. Back out into the country for them. Nice place but it needs a lot of cleaning before they can move in.
Afternoon sisters.
You can count on me for prayers too Pegi. May your brother get the best treatments to shrink the tumors and eradicate the spots. Where is he living Pegi? Your DH will be able to share with him, his experience and what side effects to expect from the therapies given,
(((((((Pegi)))))))))))
We all can hope that one day there will be a permanent cure to cancer.
That's a relief, Susan. At least you won't be left homeless if the city govt, intend to house the residents. Praying that you'd be offered an affordable dwelling.
Is it your DD moving, Karen? I'm sure she hopes it's her last move! That's nice to have some great help.
My blood sugar is much more manageable now. Got to be a fluke that morning. Thanks for your prayers sisters. Still moving around a little slow. My side still hurt from the fall. Breathing hurts, and Dr Kel says that's a good healing sign!!
Weather's cool and beautiful outside. Sis Kathy, I do hope we won't have an early winter!! I can't stand temps below 60s!
Have a wonderful day sisters.
Oh a piece of good news.
We will have a Hobby Lobby soon at MB! Then Joann is supposed to come later. Wooohooo!

i miss my Cookie. I know maybe sat i can visit with you . I will be in the area .
You know you're always welcome, Sue. Call me when you can.
Good morning sisters.
Yes Cookie makes for some good positive company and I don't blame Sue for wanting to be with you Cookie!
Oh poor Katie.. thank God she escaped with just a sprained ankle.
When I think I'm getting better, LK... more surprises.
Last night I had the chills. Three quilts over me and this time, Kel's home to keep watch. Lots of prayers and I broke fever around 4 this a.m.
I really believe it's due to the injury.
Oh well, no frost here but a cool 48. Potted tropicals are still out.
Glad to hear Kel was home with you Jaye!
Me too. I know that was a relief.
Sisters, it's been a long time I had chills that bad. Last time was a bladder infection. Kel wasn't the least worried until I asked for another quilt! I could have thought of the electric blanket.
GERD is acting up now, it sucks getting old!!!
Was craving for popcorn, had some this morning, got a bad sour taste in my mouth, kept belching and feel like something's stuck in my throat.
Will have to stick to a bland diet for the next few weeks! Think I had destroyed my esophagus with all the peppers I've been eating!
Do hope none of my sisters are on restricted diet.
Good morning on a nice cool day here. Yesterday DH got his fishing trip in and only caught one fish, but enjoyed his outing. No wheel chair this time to tip over. Before we left on our hour and one half trip to Hemet Mandy got away from me as I was putting the dogs in the back of the truck. She sure can run!! Headed toward a busy 3 lane street and I just couldn't keep up with her. That street is very busy all the time and she just keep running and ignoring all the cars. Thought for sure I was going to lose her. A young gal was turning left off a side street and she stopped her car, got out and ran after Mandy. She strepped on her leash before she could start into traffic again. She picked her up and gave her to me. I couldn't thak her enough. Some of the other drivers weren't too happy about having to stop. Mandy wasn't the bit scared, what a bad girl! Finally got her back in the truck and we were on our way. I enjoyed my day with my friend. My friend has 3 schnauzers, Sami's mama & daddy and one of her siblings. DH is feeling fairly good now since he got off a couple of his BP meds. and on a strong pain killer.
We live about 5 miles from my brother, but seems the closer you live from someone the less you see them. I think it is time to make him a batch of peanut butter cookies for some comfort food.
Jaye, I keep telling the young ones not to get old. LOL It sure isn't for sissies. I have Gerd too and some days I really get it bad. I take an Omeprasole (?spelling) every day and that sure does help a lot. Well, off to fix DH some breakfast or by the time I get it for him it will be brunch.
im a sissy. I whined all nite and morning. my back and legs hurt terrible.
jaye trie to call you. do you want protonix? I have a bunch I don't use/
Oh no!!! So, is Mandy grounded?? No more outings?? Thank God for that angel. Mandy would be plastered to the asphalt for sure! Your heart must be beating fast, Pegi.
So Darwin got his fishing wish, he'd be good for another 30 days!
Peanut butter cookies sound good. If you like your brother, I'd say, visit him often.
I wish my own family is that close.
YES Sis Kathy!! I tried calling you earlier this morning, and just a few secs. ago.
Guess what sisters!!
Supposed to frost tomorrow, and I've just been out draping sheets over my tall brugmansias that are having their flushes! Didn't lose my balance, did them real slow and all the while praying. Kel's at work, and that's when I need that 6ft. 4 man!
This is one of the trees that I had to cover.
Forced myself to haul some pots in. No, didn't touch the big ones. If they're killed, I'm okay with that. Plants can be replaced right, but my rib has to heal.
Hoping Jack Frost stay away!!
That's my excitement for the day!
