Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, ya'll.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

TY - Thanksgiving Dinner was a success - enjoyed the company

Linda - I pray your sister will "turn around", get the care she needs, and gets well again.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks Susan.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

you know what we need to do? re-institute the Wed night Prayer Circle.... I think we did it in this thread? Jaye started it, I do believe......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs.
I'm alive! This is the longest bout of chronic bronchitis, made much worse with the erratic weather we've been having.
I want to thank you all for the prayers, and Murdock's getting a new hospice nurse.... again. Kel's hoping this one will stick around as she's more "veteran" looking, he says.

Sis Kathy, hope you're feeling better. Don't mess with bronchitis.

Marion, what I like about Miles, is, he'd give the losing team some face. Even though LSU is capable to score more points against Florida, he'd rather the team take a knee. Yup, we could have fried gators, but decided to just remove their tails! Lol!
BUT your team's not so bad.. ranked top 5, I think. I hope Seminoles beat Clemson on Saturday!

Susan, you must have had some good eats yesterday. Did you make buttertarts?

Enjoy your day with Cookie, Sue.
I read on your FB page that that cretin had his sentence extended for raping a minor? You're right, he might have stalked and harmed more.

Same here LK, I'll be praying for your sister's recovery. Your mind must be frazzled being so far and anxious to get news on her.
(((((((((HUGS))))))))))

I have rested too much and I think I may need an extended rest just to heal my sore back! Lol! Kidding.

The garden did wait, sisters. It's overtaken right now by wild daisies, golden rods and tall wispy weeds that it's becoming to look more like a meadow, than a cultivated one.

Again, thank you all very much for your prayers.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Glad to see you are on the mend Jaye. Prayers continue for Kel and Murdock....

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

I agree. Been thinking about you, Kel and Murdock and praying. It is still warm here (81 yesterday) and things are still growing. It will get cooler this week. I always enjoy the cool weather but hate to see the end of the growing season. Not that I've done all that much this year. :(

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

LOL, just taking the gator's tail was okay. I am sure it put a black gloomy cloud over Gainesville...any time the lose a game it does.

Glad to see you posting and do take it easy. Prayers continuing for all of you and Murdock. Veteran looking? Hummm, does that mean what I think it might? Able to deal with the wife figure?

Got a full day ahead of me....working hard while Charles is caught in this furlough thing. With his help I am getting lots of long over due small task done. The dungeon as well...had a few set backs but nothing major. It has been wonderful having him around and sharing lunch on the deck during these nice days.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Seems there is always some kind of upside when trouble hits the government. Glad for you it is Charles, Marion.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks Barb and Carole.
It's in the mid 50s now and will soon be a nice mid 70. The a/c was running for 2 days and some kitties had the sniffles!!

Every year I planned to do more for the garden, but plans go awry asual. At least this year, I succeeded in adding more clematis and introduced new fall blooming plants.
If only our gardens are self weeding.

Kel begged me not to take pictures of the 'meadow' as he's embarrass that he's always too tired to work in the garden. He's lucky that I don't get visitors!!
Right now, I'm happily sorting out some new charm packs!!! That's sets of 5 inch fabric squares fyi Carole!
Yep.. guilty of not totally resting! Went shopping online! Not good for the pocket book, but oh so good for my spirits!

Barb, sister Judy keeps on being one amazing woman. What she did for you in a swap, I know I can't emulate that. I don't do power tools!

Your guess is spot on. Marion!!
It's a blessing that Charles now have some time to finish your dungeon, though I'm sure he rather be getting his wages. For now, mama's mac n cheese is good enough for him!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Awwww, Bobbi likes to fly like a flying squirrel. I hope it is just the kitten stages......

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, you just love the primitive look!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Protect your china, Marion!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Not primitive but natural look and yes, I like that. China? What china? I was never a china person more pottery but I guess we had better put Kim's china out of reach. Now where will that be as so far nothing seems out of limits. Oh well, she is just a kitten......I keep telling myself that. :-0

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Love your meadow Jaye.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Me too. Looks a lot like mine. :)

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

so glad to see you're back, Jaye! Take care of that throat of yours.
No, no butter tarts for Thanksgiving - that's a Christmas treat.

Heard from my daughter re: Bob's maintenance case. In case you'd forgotten, he's till paying maintenance for his two "kids", one of which got married 3 years ago, and the other one working full time. Tomorrow, his ex was to have come, or called in to the court and "attend". I found out today (my daughter was on vacation, and she's the paralegal in the case) that our lawyer spoke to Bob's ex and she's in Cuba and refuses to call in. So, the court date has to be put off until Jan 8th (next available date). She can refuse a total of 3 times, then the court will make a judgement without her. Apparently our lawyer can request a Stay Of Enforcement for 6 months, so that Bob isn't continuing to pay . The lawyer will look into this.
In the meantime.... Bob's social security is getting lessened by 1/3 each month, to pay for "kids" that are no longer kids....
oh, and btw - do you remember that there was a typo on one of the orders (not the one requested by the ex, nor the amendment...) which changed it from Child Support to Spousal Support? Well, the courts have authorized and changed it to Child Support, but Bob's ex has decided she likes the "spousal support" typo, and wants to keep it. Our lawyer said that she can't - it was never intended to be Spousal, and it was a typo - courts have fixed it mmmmmmwahahaha!! lol

Your meadow is lovely, Jaye, my yard should just look half as good. Was out in front with my clippers trying to take down the morning glories that are going to seed and get rid of a lot of weeds too. Neighbors cat kep twinning itself around my legs so I petted him and he attacked my right arm leaving some nasty teeth marks and scratches. I'm so mad at that cat right now. He usually is very friendly. Decided that would be the end of my work out there for today. Should stick to the back yard as he seldom comes back there, the two dogs are always with me then.

Prayers for all from the west.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Make sure you keep those injuries good and clean Pegi. As Marion can attest - cat injuries can be horrible to cure.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I'll make sure I keep cat injuries clean. Just heard that my brother has a large mass on his right kidney, part of kidney already gone, and spread to his lungs. Found small spots and will see a specialist on Monday. Please add him to your prayer list.

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Carole. Way back you asked about my avatar. It is part of a quilt. From a round robin swap. I don't know what the quilt looks like. Others are still working on it. I have two from other people that I need to add to.
Hope everyone is feeling better. Sending gentle hugs ♥

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan I sure hope things work out in court to your favor. Will they make her pay any of it back?

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Thunder, that is very attractive. It's great that you all quilt. I feel like the odd man out but I can sure look and appreciate! :)

Pegi, I hate it when a cat does a surprise attack. Must be a tom. :( One of our toms is so mellow but the other one is young and feisty.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Yesterday was my due date for my social security check, and I was really thinking it was not going to happen. I kept checking my bank account online and there was no deposit. Finally at 11 last night it was there. What a relief!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I always have to check and make sure our social security checks has been deposited. It is scary to think that some day there might not be any checks.

Sure enough that cat is a tom, but seems so friendly most of the time. I just wish he would stay where he belongs and not in my yard. Beginning to wonder if they feed him as he comes over looking for food we set out for another cat that has adopted us. I'll be sure I don't try to pet him any more, he is such a pretty orange cat.

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Jaye, I hope you are feeling at least a wee bit better today. be good to yourself, and rest. we love you ♥♥♥
