Dennis, do you have a start of the pinecone cacti? Also I have one yellow yucca that you wanted in the spring
2013 N Central TX RU Oct. 20th in Arlington TRADE THREAD #1
Ha Ha...no it is a dwarf by comparison....maybe 3 feet
Here is the white spider lily I have, it is a fair sized bloom
See below;
coleus (one of the old reliables from the Wizard series)
pink vinca
angel wing begonia, red flowers
coleus hot sauce
coleus Beckwiths's Gem and sweet potatoe
The first three, I have "tons" of. the last two I have several.
All of these must be wintered over inside but that is easy if you have a sunny window.
Edited to say that in the last photo is also coleus, electric lime. I have a few of those also.

Anna, I googled it and I definitely want one! Im going to get rid of the monster one if I can get yours to live for me. Actually I'd like to have two if there are some left after others have had a chance to ask.
edited to add:Anyone want a 10 ft tall goldenrod?

Anna, I would like to have some of the Solidago rugosa, I don't have that one. Check my list and see if there is something you want.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Marty, if you cut back your Goldenrod by half in June it won't be so tall and it won't flop.
Anna, I only have the one rooted pinecone cactus but I'll check to see if mine has any sections that I can cut off for you. Thanks for the yellow yucca!
covenantgarden, could I get some Cenizo seeds from you?
Sybram, I have one that doesn't have any foliage but I just checked the bulb in the pot and it has good roots, I think I damaged the roots when I originally dug it up. So if you would like it, the last pink and white crinum is yours.
Bananna18, I sent a picture of my white spider lily up above, it didn't send with the first post, but with the second that says Oops. I need to dig it up tomorrow to move it and it might have youngsters. if you are interested, let me know and I will pot one for you.
I'll bring a few pink n whites crinum as some are already dug too.
Rouxcrew and Covenant, Thank you for the mints. If it can make tea I will grow it, trying to give up my celestial seasonings habit.
Banana, the phlox will be lovely.
I need to do a lift and bulb count but I think I have plenty. i am also seeing turks cap, red, that I need to pot while they are small and maybe other stuff, as I can get out there.
I sprained my left foot last Wednesday so I am not moving as quickly as I would like to be.
I will pot up the goldenrod for both Josephine and Marty. Will let you all know how many more plants I can separate out.
Dennis, I can wait patiently for the pinecone
Gyspy, I hope you heal up quickly. Hobbling around a garden is not fun
rouxcrew, the white spider is lovely...how tall is the foliage?
Gypsi,
I will pot up some of both mints for you. My grandmother used to make pots of mint tea, I remember how the kitchen smelled to this day and I believe it is why I love the smell of mint so much.
Anna, it has strap like leaves like criniums and amaryllis although smaller than any of mine. The lilies I am moving are a mounding foot to foot and a half tall, with flower spikes that rise about eight to ten inches above that if memory serves. I will double check when I can see later this morning. Rain and pyrotechnics have the dogs up early, and by association me as well on this Sunday morning.
Steadycam, yes I will bring you some cenizo seeds.
Gypsi, I have read that you can make tea with the chocolate mint leaves - http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/56869/. I have never done it as I am trying to kick the tea habit in favor of drinking more water. I guess I should at least try it. I've only had the plant one year and I grow it for the delicious smell in the garden. I will bring you cuttings.
I have:
2 turks cap seedlings (shade or sun)
2 rock rose
1 tiny cats paw cactus (has roots and is very cold hardy)
1 large twist leaf yucca
1 salvia gregii

Gypsi
Here you go, my "recipe" for mint tea. BTW, if I have a sore throat, I add a couple lemon slices or orange slices to the pot and even a small piece of candied ginger. Add honey to the cup and I feel better immediately.
4-5 stalks of fresh mint, with stems
4 cups boiling water
Sugar or honey, if desired
DIRECTIONS
1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
2. While water is boiling, fill a 4-6 cup teapot to the brim with hot water from the tap, and let it sit until the tea water boils.
3. When the tea water is boiling, empty the now-warm teapot. Roll the mint between your palms until it is slightly crushed. Place in teapot.
4. Pour boiling water over the crushed mint, cover the teapot, and let it steep for 5 minutes.
5. Pour into your favorite teacup, inhale deeply, and enjoy!

Oh that tea recipe sounds so good!
Anna, thank you for the Solidago rugosa, I have wanted that one for a while.

Mint tea is wonderful. I made peach mint jelly years ago. My peach jelly didn't set and had to be recooked to get it to thicken, so I got a recipe for mint jelly and used it with the recook, doubling batch size, and it was WONDERFUL. I no longer have these recipes, lost in a move in 1987, but they should still be out there, probably came off a gelatin box.
Josephine, I am thrilled that I have a native you want/need!
