Banana - If no one has asked for it yet, I would like your Augusta Duelberg salvia.
2013 N Central TX RU Oct. 20th in Arlington TRADE THREAD #1
The money goes to the organizations to use for supplies and education, not to individuals.
If you would like to have more of my plants don't be afraid to ask, all I want is to spread the word, and that they go to someone who will take care of them.
Well, in that case, Josephine, here's what I'm thinking about but can't promise I'll take good care of them due to my place on the old learning curve:
American Beautyberry, Callicarpa americana
Salvia guaranitica, Argentine Skies
and
Yellow Columbine, Aquilegia chrysantha (but I have to look that one up to be sure it's what I think it is. Be right back.)
About the Columbine, I looked it up (your pics are beautiful) but am confused. The local nurseries have been telling me that it likes shade. At the seminar the presenter actually said it was a shade plant AND evergreen, altho I found the 'evergreen' part a little hard to go along with. In DG's Garden Guide, I get the impression that it likes sun to partial shade. What is your opinion? If it's mostly shade, I would definitely want some.

It likes mostly shade and moisture, and the same for the American Beautiberry..
Stephanie, I don't see a link for me. Could I get one please? I have a few goodies to list. Thanks! -Carol
Josephine, could I please have a Willowleaf Sunflower and a Zexmenia?
Surely, they are yours.
Thank you!
Love that white, Dennis... I will let you know when I come for a cutting...probably this weekend.
Tx flower child, I will pot one up for you
Cheryl, you will love the phlox...never gets mildew
Marty, that is a great article! I hope my garden club can go there for an outing. Do you have anymore of the Virginia Blue Fern?
Josephine -
Thanks for clarifying about the Columbines. I would love some. And I would still like the Salvia guaranitica, Argentine Skies, if that's not asking for too much.
Altho I adore American Beautyberry, I think I won't be able to give it the space it will ultimately need.
Frostweed--If you still have the beauty berry I would love to have it. I planted one this spring, but apparently didn't keep it watered enough even though I tried. I think it is dead. I am still watering it in case there is some life in the roots. I have a mostly shady spot for it and would have better luck starting one in the fall I am sure. Thanks.
OK, Steadycam, the tropicanna is yours.
Newtonsthirdlaw, could I have heartleaf skullcap please? I have shade plants on my want list.
Sybram, I would like some purple Datura seeds and horse manure please.
Gypsi, do you still have Summer Snowflake and Tazetta Narcissus bulbs. If so, may I have some? I can bring you Chocolate Peppermint cuttings if you're interested.
Steadycam, do you have more Queen's Wreath Vine? Either seeds or cuttings would be fine.
Bezziec, could I have Hyacinth Bean seeds please? I have an orange Day Lily and yellow historic Bearded Iris (Alta California, I think) that I would be happy to bring you.
I'm updating my list this week, so please ask if you want anything.
I will pot some up for you covenant.
Dennis can I have the pine cone cactus?
Sheila can I have one of they false foxglove? I am going to try one in a pot this time.

I have a lot of small fame flower seedlings, which are definitely succulents.
http://easywildflowers.com/quality/tal.cal.htm
Cheryl, I'd like to try to get the fame flower started here. Could I have a couple please? Reminds me of ice plant or moss rose.
Flowerchild, I gave you the salvia and the columbine, I will give the Beautiberry to Bezziec.
Flowerchild, I consider pots 10" or larger a big one. You dont have to give me both that and the hanging baskets. Just one or the other will be fine. I'll put you down for the blue fern.
Cheryl, got you down for the pinecone cactus. Can I have a fame flower?
Covenant,
I am about to dig bulbs, I am sure I have both. I would love some chocolate mint, thank you. (does it taste like chocolate mint in tea?)
Banana - do you have any more phlox? And do I have anything you would like? (should have enough peach iris, going to do a rhizome count later, but I lifted LOTS.)
I have added frost weed and white yarrow to my want list. Sadly I think I had wild yarrow here at one time, but the drought got it.
Gypsi, I gave you one of my Frostweed.
Frostweed--Thank you so much for the beautyberry. If I'm lucky enough that mine is still alive, I will give one to my gardening friend.
Covenantgarden---Happy to bring you Hyacinth Bean Seeds. Would you like a few or a lot. I plant mine about 12" apart. Would like the orange day lilly and the yellow iris. Thanks.
Newtonsthirdlaw---If you have a small fame flower left I would like one or more. Thanks.

Frostweed -
Sorry for the delayed reaction, but yes, thank you, the salvia and columbine would be great. I am happy that you found another home for the beauty berry.
Roux. Could ihave white spider lily and copper rain lilly?
Sure Cheryl, I will put a tag in them.
May I have a start of your coffee EE?

Roux,
Tried to post a msg about an hour ago but either DG website hung or my mac did. Anyway, I will be bringing LOTS of irises (colors unknown) and I'll add your name to the 'iris list'. Unless there's some major change, I think people can just figure out what they need/want when they see 'em. I'm easy.
While I was waiting to get back online I dug up another 6 or 7 irises. Mostly clumps and a few individuals.
I may want some of the criniums and maybe some Amaryllis bulbs. Will get back with you after I do a little digging in the plant guide. Do the criniums grow in Dallas, Zone 8a?
Thanks!

Coffee? Is someone growing the real deal coffee?
Rouxcrew -
Could I please have a crinum (or 2 if no one else wants one)?
And the Lemon Lime Amaryllis?
The brown EE is yours.
Thanks,.
I have you down tx_flower_child.
Gypsi, I have some old fashioned peppermint originally from my grandmother's garden, and I have some Mojito mint if you are interested.
Thanks, Rouxcrew.
Cheryl I have false foxglove for you.
Joy I will dig Mary Francis iris for you.
Will someone please tell me what EE means? I'm pulling my hair out!
Elephant ear
Gypsi, I haven't tried it in tea, but it smells wonderful!
Bezziec, how ever many hyacinth bean seeds you think. Maybe a dozen? I have a large arch to cover - about 4 ft. wide by 6 ft. tall. There's a Dr. Huey climbing rose on the arch now, but it only blooms in April and gets pretty scraggly looking in summer. I think this vine will help the arch look better in summer/fall. And I know the rose will be okay. I have another one that gets covered in snailseed vine every summer and it doesn't care. I call them my "monster roses" because nothing kills them, and they like to reach out and grab you.
Covenantgarden, I'll have Datura seeds and horse manure for you.
Tx_Flower_Child
Well, my ferns will freeze, but they're evergreen for me. I push them up by the house wall on the front porch (facing east), and have been known to throw a trash bag over them once in a while. They always come back. Let me know if you want it.
