Ok, I'm going to try to make it too.
Fortunately, I have been UNinvited to a wedding shower in Austin that I was originally told by the wife was mandatory. After asking if any other husbands/guys were going to be there and receiving an answer of no, I got a free pass on this one to stay home and take care of the kitties while she was gone.
Don't have much to trade or offer but would like to meet a few members, local or not and will bring what I can round up by Sunday.

Why do they have Jack and Jill wedding/baby showers? Most straight guys don't seriously care about that stuff.
There is a remote possibility that I will have a guest. If he decides to come, we will be in 2 cars b/c we would be heading out at different times. I told him that I have extra door prizes and stuff so as not too worry.

I doubt that most guys care about the weddings either but we're unlikely to get the free pass for those...
