LOVE the orange check blanket but micro fleece and pooch fur are like peanut butter and jelly are like Lucy and Desi, are like ham and eggs - inseparable - no?? You are brave!!

The Overstock flannels - get a new set each year!! The German only and the darn things are THE BEST. Been using flannel for 40 years -- for me it is flannel...winter...summer..spring...etc. NOTHING cooler in summer Amanda. Just the flannel top sheet (and a light blanket if you need.) Flannel (IF cotton) is cool -- no testimonials for anything but cotton.

Great news about the kidney function. Kidneys don't behave like liver (unfortunately) with miraculous repair properties ....but....if the BUN and creatinine are normal - hey you got the brass ring!

Don't think separate caves are weird at all. Actually sleeping together is cultural with some cultures sleeping ALL sharing dwelling in same room - mom,dad, kids, uncle Bob, and the neighbor's kid -- either way male/ female intimacy - relations not likely to play role in that scenario -- we are talking about actual sleep time. Read last year that new trend in home building is for two master sleeping areas with shared jack and hill bath -

I love the flannel. My mom started buying for me when I was in college. My room is not the coolest iN the house, so I use high count cotton in summer, but love it. The fleece is supposed to be a layering piece. I have an orange down alt. comforter. This will go under it. But it is super squishy and I LOVE the colors. :)

Big project today was restoring an old dried up rocking chair. The kind you might see in front of cracker barrel. Joints were sprung, rungs were not lining up with the peg holes. Conjectured before to fix it but it's a little warped too, I guess.

I got one of those cargo cable tie down thingies with the metal wrachet and a few bottles of old English oil. I tied that chair up so tight in the right position and emptied 2 bottles of oil into the parched wood. The chair was a "find" but it's very comfy and I'd love to have it on my front porch. Will go at it again tomorrow.

The worry of making sure DH and collie stay in A/C during this oh my, so we will get a hotel on Friday by the new place and I'll go over when they get to the place and after they are done, go back and get DH and collie to take to new home.

Hopefully I will be able to find a job that I can do and be of service to someone.

Try to put a few things in the ground Meadow. It will help you to feel like you are settling in. I hope you find a position real quick. Is there a hospital nearby? Sometimes the positions of night clerks are hard to fill. They sometimes won't do full time to avoid benefits but the night differential helps to pay for those kinds of things.

We had some great cool weather with low humidity. It is sorta hot tonight. I think the dead mouse 'fragrance' is a bit better in the truck. Maybe it is just wishful thinking. That a song Ju? 🎤Just Wishful Thinking🎶. Made a crockpot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed spinach. Put a little marsala in the gravy. Trying to put away a dinner each nite in the freezer for when I go to tend to older brother in Fl - saves hubby from cereal and banana - his 'go to' meal. He used to cook--- don't know why that changed. Well off to count fan revolutions.......

The SU will be off doing custom corn silage bagging today, so he will be out of my hair and I won't have to worry about "can you come here for a minute.................." His minutes are 3600 seconds long. Just sayin'.

Brrr it was cold today. I see a few yellow leaves. The birch usually turns early but since the caterpillars picked it bald - can't use it to track autumn's progress.

Tonight I fixed egg salad sandwiches and tomato soup and so you can see I am really feeling the cold weather!

Morning everyone! I feel like dog doo. Think I may have had my nose broken last evening, even ever so slightly.

God almighty knows it's too embarrassing to talk about. Just know I laid on the couch with an ice pack for about four hours hoping that it would seem better in th mornin..sigh. I am smiling because I am telling you here, but it Not something I will breathe a whisper about to a liv ing soul. Except my BF. If I'm lucky I won't have black eyes. Can't wait to find out. :D

Awake for now. Today's excitement(last evening) car broke while out making a run for emergency fish tank supplies. Very weird... the gas pedal suddenly wasn't there anymore.

Cotter pin or spring failed on the accelerator cables or rod shafts , You know , a loose screw fell off ,, (wonder why I would know that ) lol

Knock Knock, You guys mind me visitng a bit? I was just walking down my watched forums and found ju, LOL Would someone tell me why my goji berry is just now blooming? dang it. I got so cold last night my hips hurt no matter what die I layed on, so I played musical slep spots last night. Afraid to even try now.Usually it is good when I stay up after Joe goes to bed, I get from 10 thirty to 2 am all by myself and sometimes I get really selfish and stay up loner piddling around with seeds or seeds or games on the laptop.. Now that he will be up late ( he retires Friday) I mnight not get my alone time. dang it. He already came down in the basement looking for me ( sorting seeds and getting areas ready for plants. ) It is a mess down there right now.

Oh no the dreaded husband's retirement! I know you are pleased - but how scary is it? My husband asked me what I was going to do when he retires - I told him it involved mace! 😏

Oh I was just down eyeballing my basement in preparation for the tropicals I bring in, and there are so many new cracks along with the old cracks and I am scared the house will fall in while Joe and I are asleep. Oh worse , be my luck I would be down there tinkering with a flower bloom or something, Anyway, since I don't have 30 K dollars to fix the dang thing, ( ha!) or even 14K just to anchor the walls and redirect the water, I am going to dig up around the foundation, lay plastic down about three foot and cover it back up again, making hills away from the house and might even get some black gutter pipe stuff and have it trenched under the ground , with holes drilled on top of it first to catch the wayer up close to the house and take it out to the drain. Cost of that project about 175 parts, and about 1000 labor. Geez. trying to talk Joe into building me a rock planter about two foot wide and 4 ft tall, lesading to a rock pond built up into the ugly ass corner. Already have my new T5 lights down there. *sigh* wish we could sell this hunk of junk I happen to love. Wonder if I can squirt dap into the cracks myself just to stop the cold air coming in..

At the point now where everything and every other thing needs to be replaced at a minimum of $1,000 a pop. When is it time to let go?

Last month engine mounts and new axles.
This week rack and pinion and hoses for power steering.
Earlier in the spring misdiagnosed the deteriorating engine mounts/vibrations for water pump. That did not fix the problem. When I called my long-time VW mechanic he said "you TOLD me to put in a water pump." That's because over the phone that's what it "sounded like".

O well. Here she is.

The Oscar fish I was trying to save which Court brought home last fall finally passed away Tuesday morning. A sad,sad day for me. Spent hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours trying to make him right, but just couldn't get ahead of the illness and poor living conditions he'd already suffered.

Now the big decision is whether to get rid of this massive tank or fill it with tiny nameless faceless fish. Will have to decide soon.
