morning, I couldn't sleep

I'll be shutting this down later this afternoon and probably won't be back until next Tuesday. I'm saying prayers for you all to remain safe and sound until I get back. I'll be so happy when this move is over!!!!

Carole, last time I returned was in 1984. Real life prevented me from visiting again. Moreover, Singapore is the furthest from States, the air ticket is expensive.

Oh.. it takes at least 18hrs. of straight flying time from Los Angeles to Singapore.
Since I moved here, I might have to leave from NY.
Then there's a 12 hour difference.. once I get there I lose 2 days to acclimatize my body!

How many moves??? Too many! Ex was in the Air Force, so we moved from out home town in Michigan, then to Missouri, to Texas, then to Belgium, then here!
We also moved a lot when I was growing up, as my parents were migrant workers for along time, we lived in Michigan, Missouri, Florida, Washington State...

It is unbearably hot and humid here!! I am surprised how much difference there is from home.

If your kitty is anything like my great grands kitty, Ducky Super Boy, it will just love everyone. I'm not especially a cat person but when I'm there, Ducky is my best friend and sleeps with me so he can pat my face all night long.

Oh my yes Karen, she is already a people person. My sister took her to her vet to be checked the day after she got her for me. Good thing as she had an upper respiratory infection. Sue has to many with immune system issues. Her vet treated plus keep her in the isolation room until Kim took her home on Tuesday. She has been pampered and spoiled rotten. As much as I hated her being there so long, it worked out for the best. Their gift to us during a very hectic time.

got my nails done this morning,now I have to take sara to school to meet her teacher, then its home and Michael is grilling steaks. I cant sit stand or lie down I hurt so bad. tired of popping pills

Sorry your hurting so bad Kathy! Try an ice pack, and or heat.

Marion, it seems that most of our rescues have that URI issues. Antibiotics sometimes don't seem to help. I make sure they have plenty of water and the stinkiest canned cat food for the ones outside so they can smell the food.
Sometimes their eyes are affected too. Kel's a good nurse. He'd flush the affected eyes with eye drops, and then dab some triple antibiotic cream for a week. Learnt that trick from googling! Saved some money there.

Been glued to Youtube watching quilting videos. Amazing what new techniques are out there, especially the shortcuts.

Kel surprised me tonight. He's not much into watching movies at the theater unless it's Sci Fi. But he wanted to see "The Butler".
Hopefully, he won't change his mind! We haven't step in a theater for 4 years now!

I'm pretty sure I told you about Ducky. Brody, my great grandson was outside his house when a car drove by and threw a kitten out the window. Brody went and got it and my DGD had to call his allergist to see what to do. Brody meanwhile named it Ducky Super Girl and Jess gave it a bath to lessen chances of dander. When they went to the vet they found it was a Ducky Super Boy. Anyhow Ducky is a super lovey kitty and cries when Brody goes out to play and sits in the window watching him.

I agree. I had a great gardening buddy here who I met through DG, but she remarried and moved away year before last. Good for her, bad for me. :/ We used to get into trouble regularly. We met every Saturday morning for breakfast followed by the getting into trouble part. 'Twas lots of fun though.

Wow what a spectacular day it is too.
Even better, I am off for 2 whole days...well maybe, I may be going into work later.

Can't wait to see it, they have been practicing for Months!!! LOL, both can't wait till it's over, lol
So, I just Gotta go see my boys do the real thing...

OMG, life is in a true whirlly gig for me!! A ton of learning as i go! I have learned I love helping people with their projects! Ohwah, now that all the redo's have been finished, (my entire first week) so our counts didn't mean boo to me and i was actually rather angry about all the waste of time, money and supplies, not to mention it ate away at my budget.

ROFLOL, do you know what my budget is?? I can tell you, it isn't what I get to spend!! It's what we bring in, lolol hands on the hips, well slap my face...So, you can't imagine, On Thursday, when our Manager, came over to announce we had Hit the 100% mark for the Week and the week ends today, so did a happy lil jig and got a high from 2 big managers AND, the best part is, Everything that left the house was in absolutely perfect order, woohoo big cheesy grin and a wink too!!

So, now for the not so great news, i am once again flying Solo, scared to death...I have no Print (computer person)...Oh the reason, The Little girl who was doing it, has the "gall" to go off to college!! hehe, Gave her a Thank you note and a giant Armwrap, hope she comes back...however, i didn't care for her very verbal, i don't care atitude, since Wednesday...I thought if i heard I don't caqre from her one more time i was gonna slap her.
which means i am basically running the show again...The Mgr, is trying so hard to find the right fit, thinks he may have one but she won't start for a while...The up side is i've met her, and Sabrina has worked with her. I asked Sabrina how she likes her and Breenie gave her a very Good review!
Now if Breenie likes her Work, I am seriously good to go. LOL you have to know Breenie, she has an incrediblle work ethic . I value her opinion tremendously!! I think tonight, if i go in after seeing the boys, We will get a ton of stuffs done...Yikers will end up working until 11 or later, so got to get my rest in too...

OH yeah, almost forgot to tell you, yesterday, guess who got her very own business cards!! Ohwah, all these years of working, I've never had one...hehehe, I feel so important.

It's back to school season and We are absolutely insane...should "lesson:" soon.
Haha, story of my life to start at THE busiest time of year. What can i say I'm soooo Loving it!

Ok so off I must go, got to go be thankful to an associate taking his time to work for us today, from another store!! Thought, i'd bring him a gift card or go get whatever he want for lunch...

It's a cool day today. I had set the a/c at 71 and it's not coming on! Yay!! Didn't have to water the plants as the pots are soaked fromt the rains.

Staying home most of the day. Rudy one of my babies isn't eating much and losing weight overnight. Vet won't be able to see her till Monday.
All I can do is keep her warm and hoping that Kel will manage to force some Nutri Cal down her throat. She struggles too much with me.

I'll try to take my mind off the negative by sewing!

So far so good as far as allergies go. My granddaughter is bathing Ducky once a week and that seems to be working. Fortunately Ducky is used to it and doesn't fuss about it. He looks part Siamese all white with orange ears and tail.

That must be fun, bathing Ducky!
I don't know what to expect when I do that to the kitties. Some will co-operate but most exercise their claws!

My sister was so afraid that her daughter's allergies would get worse when they came down here. Not a sneeze at all for 6 weeks! She must be allergic to their own home!

Could be a particular dander or pollen at sisters home too. Ducky just thinks baths are a part of life. Used to have a black cat named Jinx that thought water was a wonderful play toy. We had a side sink in the kitchen that I used to let the water dribble and he would play for the longest time. He was also a thief, found a just his size hole in the under cabinet kick plate and grabbed things and hid them there.

Karen, I called my sister up and asked her whether Dewi still has allergy issues. Zi replied that mysteriously they disappeared when they got home. That was more than 7 years ago!!!
Could be a way of getting attention maybe?? Zi said thank goodness health cost there is almost zero! If not she'd make sure Dewi refund all that angst and money involved!! I know there's a medical term for that, it slipped my mind.

Thanks, Jaye and LK. I appreciate the comments. I've had difficulty with transmitting the articles. The problem was originally discovered to be on the DG end of things and their tech team fixed it. But now it's back. I suppose that may be due to all the recent changes to the site. Well, I managed a work-around. The formatting isn't exactly correct but it isn't too bad. Melody has helped a lot. Good morning dear sistahs.
Rudy crossed that bridge this morning in my arms. She waited long enough for me to wake up and give her the last hugs and kisses. Just a deep sigh after Kel and I said our morning prayers holding her.

Yesterday evening I sat with her in the garden, and she who had never left the house since her rescue, was greeted by the 'outside' cats. I told her that God's garden is much more beautiful and she'd be having fun romping with the others that had gone before her.

It don't matter how many I had said goodbye to, but this one's special.
I won't have a pc kitty anymore. She'd always jump into my lap the moment I sit down. Would stretch her neck for kisses and then snooze away. She'd stare at me when I started laughing reading something hilarious by one of you, and if she felt some sadness in me, yes, she'd ask for kisses. I can say that she looked forward to me waking up, not for food, but that moment when I could sit and type away at my pc.
Such a gentle cat. No fights, no fusses but she's an opportunist too. Would sleep in pots and if there's a drawer slightly ajar, she'd sleep in that too. Once we searched high and low for her. Didn't hear Rudy till Kel decided to pull out all the house's desk and kitchen drawers. Found her in the utility room.. yep.. in one of the drawers!!!

Rudy"came" to us with a bad URI. It affected one eye. We thank God for letting us enjoy Rudi.

Oh, Jaye, I am so so sorry. Yes, it doesn't matter how many we've said good-bye to, the *one* is special. Reading your sweet tribute, I've shed some tears along with you this morning. How fortunate she was to have found you and Kel. I know that after she saw the garden with you and the other cats, she thought it was safe to cross the bridge. Cats know, they just do. ♥♥♥

I notice that with the others too, few days before they are called by Him, they wanted more attention or followed me to the bedroom (that's a cat free zone).

For those with children, thank you for accepting my crazy attitude when it comes to animals. Someone has to do His work with animals, on earth.

I can't believe how unbearably hot it is here. I was sitting outside in the shade trying to read but the breeze was like hot steam. To old for this weather..or to soft to be without a/c.
