Karen, that is a new scam to me. I have never heard of a usage fee! I agree, that is just crazy!
**Sweet Interruptions** Room 265
The hospital that took over my doctor's business, didn't even bother to create a new form. On the same old form with the old heading.. the office visit's charge is almost double. while the rest of the itemized charges see at least a 25% increase.
I hope when they rename the building, and start using their own official forms, I won't be charged for that!!
Kel's doctor too was bought out by the same hospital. He sees the same absurd increments. Of course his insurance co-pay went up.
Pegi, maybe Californians has access to more medical help than we do?
My doctor is in South Carolina, and the residents there who are uninsured do have non-profit programs that will help them out with medications, lab work and doctors' visits.
Unfortunately, there's none here that I know of in North Carolina. Only help I'd get are through some drug companies. Pretty soon I won't be eligible for that.
I pray that by the time I'm eligible for Medicare, it will still be available.
micharel is eligle for medicare in October. then he will retire at 67. if his retires now or in October they keep 10 checks
morning, coffe and tea being served
bad news, the ups plane crashed here at Birmingham airport this morning. they this the fog caused it since the dew point is 74, and so foggy I cant see across the street 2 killed
Thanks Sis.
Gosh that's terrible, hope there aren't any casualties. At least it's not a passenger plane.
Good Morning sistahs.
My youngest sister celebrates her birthday today. She's 40 going 18!! She celebrates it with her daughter, and a nephew. Lord!! All the Leos in our family. Dad's a Leo too.
Anyone believes in astrology? Or ever had your horoscope done?
I did, the astrologist told me I'm not actually a Leo as the moon was positioned ??? at ???, so I have the traits of a Saggitarius and my Indian zodiac is the tail of a dragon!! Yah, I wait before I strike!! And you won't get any fire from me...Lolol
IT RAIN!!!! Happy me. A good rainfall for my fruit trees.
Can't share with you my schedule today, there's none :D Except for the trip to the post office. Lanakila, I'm sending out the fabric to you today. Hope you can use it.
Have a lovely Wednesday sistahs!
Morning everyone. Thanks for the coffee.
So sorry to hear about the plane crash.
Jaye I am a Gemini and everyone knows it takes a lot to make me mad. But when they do they better get out of my way.
jaye is having problems with her computer, so she will not be on for awhile
Thanks for letting us know Kathy!
your very welcome
Weather is going to heat up so guess I better get over to the library early and take back 2 books and pick up one. I get so involved in my reading that everything else is put on hold. Not a good thing since I have so many other things that have to be done, like cleaning house and pulling weeds. LOL
Thanks Sis. A lil problem with the internet. I was throwing a hissy fit at Kel until he called the 'net provider. Nope, bad me didn't apologise as he's fond of downloading stuffs he's not supposed to!
LK, my late mum's a Gemini. When she's too quiet, we left her alone and be on our best behaviour. We don't like to hear her wrath.
Pegi, so far no triple digits here. Thank God.
Weeds?? What weeds? Oh you mean those unwelcomed plants that tend to take over after the rains?
Staying away from them now, as my sewing machine needs me! Lol!
Sis Kathy, Marietta's has it for $16. Will be going there at the end of the month or early September. Too hot still!!
What is that plant? It is beautiful!
Jaye, I used to do that! Years ago, when I got mad, I would not say a word to hubby for days. That is when he knew I was really ticked! Now, if you push the wrong button, you better look out! But it takes a lot for me to lose my cool!
it's a daylily, I fell in love with the picture
That sure is pretty!
marrieta gardens has it for way less money
dr. called my test results are in and there is something wrong with the bones in my lumbar and knees. also the nerves in my back aren't right. have to see him next week so he can explain what it all means and discuss my options. keep your fingers crossed it isn't serious
Sending lots of prayers Kathy!
thanks linda, what scares me is not knowing. cant wait till next week, for some answers
Kathy, those are beautiful blooms!
Kathy, your Gloriosa is gorgeous and Hyacinth Bean Vine is one of my favorites. My HBV is just beginning to bloom here. I really like your birdbath too. Not knowing what's going on in your body is hard, and I hope the situation can be taken care of quickly and painlessly. :)
Goodness, your up early!
Morning everyone! I will be gone for the morning, off to go pick up the two oldest Grandsons to babysit for the week. I am meeting ex DIL in Uvalde, one hour from here to get the boys. I should be back by noon or so.
have a safe trip
Good morning!!
Sis Kathy, whatever body parts I can cross, I will. But how about prayers? They won't be painful! Will definitely ask our Lord to make your healing adventure a smooth one.
Those blooms are pretty. My Gloriosas didn't come up this year. Think I'll just have to get more this fall.
You have a green thumb, or is it Michael's thumb? Lol!
Oh boy, LK picking up her grandsons. I can imagine the fun that she'd be planning for them during their week's stay. Some new craft maybe?
Carole, I hope you're getting lots of naps during the day. I notice the time you posted, all I can say is, at least you're not out barhopping :D
Shouldn't be saying that to you...I can be a night owl at times. My obsessive thoughts keep me awake. That's when I grab for the Benadryl or go online.
Had a very good visit with Kel's cousin last night. His mother had passed away a week ago and Kel's cousin had wanted to give something of hers to us. (Never happened before when a close relative of Kel's died)
Mind you, I met the woman only once, and I regret NOT knowing her well.
Sistahs, all the time I was thanking God for one friend around here, she could have been another.
My fault, I didn't make the effort in looking for more.
This woman left behind a treasure trove of crafts, published poems and a legacy of doing charity work. I didn't know all these about her, but Kel did. Poor Kel had took so much of his mother's poison that he wouldn't allow anyone to come into his world. Unless it's my friend and family. Can any relate to this?
I noticed an old Bernina sitting on the living room floor. This woman, cousin Pancy loved to quilt too! I was fortunate to be given a tour of her immense sewing room and her collection of fabrics. Wish I could buy that Bernina, but her daughter sews.
From BDT (his cousin's initials) he learnt that his paternal granma brought flowers each year to his grandpa's first wife and unborn child, who died in a house fire.
And he learnt more ugly truths about his mother, which weren't really mind blowing surprises!!
What a cathartic visit. We didn't leave till 1.00 a.m. This was much better than Facebook!!
Oh.. what did BDT gave me? 3 noid Brugmansia seedlings and some home made cards but Kel's gifts were more meaningful.
He inherited two bricks which BDT's mum had salvaged from that house. His grandad was her uncle. A piece of history that now can be used as a weapon too :D
BDT also gave a home made Christmas ornament for Kel's mother. Kel said he won't give it to her, as she'd only throw it away..
Weather's perfect for staying indoors and sew!! Yep, it's raining outside.
Got more to post, but I'll do that later after I've done my morning.. oops.. chores!
glad you enjoyed your visit, and got some meaningful gifts.
thanks for the prayers. if my back and hips would stop hurting i'd feel better. was up all nite, couldn't sleep at all. but Sammy did, he layed on the couch with me and snored all night
Our pets have hard lives don't they, Sis?
Poor kids had to move to the food bowl if they're hungry. Struggled to get their bellies rubbed and oh, the shame of trying not to snore...
absolutely right sis. I got them gloriosa tubers from blooming bulb a month ago.
(((((Sissy))))) If it's not bad luck, it's no luck at all with you.....you must be hanging out with me too much!
I do get a nap sometimes, Jaye, but last evening I fell asleep at 6 pm and slept through to 1 or 2 am. Yawn.
Jaye, it was so nice of them to give you those meaningful gifts! I am finally back home. Normally the trip will take me an hour each way, but I got about half way, and the road was closed. Sign says turn this way, and it was an hour and a half to go to the next town, then back to the high way! So a 2 hour trip took 5 hours, and this Grandma is tired! I think we are having pizza for dinner! I am not cooking tonight!
Todd got good news at work, all the government employees are no longer on mandated furlough Friday! With the budget cuts, they were all told they would have to take every Friday off with no pay, and that was supposed to last till December. Well, tomorrow is his last day off, then back to regular hours. The Government complained that they can not meet flying time quotas for the pilots if the mechanics are not working, it was causing a hardship, so next week they are back to work full time! That made a lot of the younger guys very happy, as their paychecks were 16 hours short ever two weeks, and that hurt them in the pocketbook really hard!
Most of the time, things happen for reasons we can't see there and then Sis Kathy. Hang in there, don't pick up any heavy tools!
Don't take a nap now, Carole. Drink more coffee!
That's wonderful news LK! Pretty sure Todd rather have his hours return than take a cut in pay. He'd have to reset his alarm for Fridays now.
That's crazy to cut back important ground crew support. Yay.. that means more fabric for you.
Sorry your trip took longer than usual. If you had known, you'd meet your DIl halfway.
This happened to us, once LK. When we were making that trip to Raleigh for the sewing ezxpo..we were rerouted and guess what??
When we got to the end of the all the detours, we were led back to the first one. Kel was fuming, he knew the roads well and kept saying we're going in circles. So he took another route. That date wasn't 1st of April.
Greetings. Been lurking and trying my best to keep up with comings and goings.
Kathy, please don't panic just yet...we are all praying for you and hugging you gently.
Still with my sister but if things go as planned I will return home next weekend. Unfortunately I am unable to do the next step for my sister.....does worry me.
Jaye, I have a new baby......BobbieSoxs, a black and white female manx. What a dynamo!
She is about 12 weeks old now. I hope she will still be mine as Kim took her home with her. According to Kim she has taken over the house.
Greeeeeeeeeetings back at ya, Marion!
Give Sue time, Marion. She'd be on her own when you leave, and maybe then she'll unleash all that trapped emotions.
Do you think she'd move closer to you, or stay where she's at on account of her cats?
Ha!!! BobbieSoxs will only be loyal to the one that feeds her the best tuna!! So get a can of the stinkiest tuna when you get home!
I'll bid all a goodnight. This is a pic of my siblings left in Singapore. Seated, Mariah with the gold shawl, Mamad and Juli. Back row.. Tadin and Shila.
Sisters Zi (France) and Sam (Dubai) missed the festivities.
Can't wait to see pictures of your new kitty.
Love your family Jaye! They are beautiful!
Morning. I slept in. :-D)))
Yes, a beautiful family. Do you get to see them very often? We are just a wee clan, myself and my younger brother in Colorado. We aren't close which is unfortunate.
Gosh, it's cool here for this time of year. You almost need a jacket at night. I think that's about to change in a few days but since we're already in the middle of August, there shouldn't be too much hot weather left. And then it's fall, glorious fall. Oh yay!!!
