Ohhhhh Noooo I liked most of the roles he did.
Law and Order was great.
ENTERTAINMENT #14
Chuck Norris
Its Sherrie!
I'll be way off. Waylin Jennings?
Buck Owens! You got to meet him? COOL!
its been a verrrrrry long time since I've seen either one...
Buck Owens! I can hear him sing.
Watched a film called 'Side Effects' with Jude Law, Rooney Mara, Catherine ZetaJones... pretty good 'thriller drama'
And listened to Car Talk Guys on NPR at work- tried not to guffaw all over the computer. Those guys are so funny!
The PGA is here next Sat. The whole city is abuzz with celebrity watchers.GF lives 3 houses from the front gate to Oak Hill Countyrclub.Parks cars on her lawn as do most of the neighbors.
Its the ginormous tournament with 30,000 sq.ft tents where people can buy souvenirs
Tiger Woods walked the course yesterday,Mickleson was here Monday.
Guess I will shop at the Wegmans in the next town cause traffic is going to be awful. They expect 250,000 extra people dropping many millions on our economy.
Hooray for corporations who took a simple game and made it a business.
they are in Akron, OH this weekend to get ready for it.
DS and DIL are there in Akron this week. She for work he for watching golf.
Not a golf fan
Anyone ever read any of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series books?
They are set in and around Trenton because the author is from the area. So it's funny when she mentions a landmark or street that I know
Pretty bad language and little graphic but so funny! I was reading one after everyone went to bed and I had tears running down my face and my chest hurt from laughing so hard was trying not to wake anyone up
That Tiger's got his mojo back!
I think I'll check out the Stephanie Plum books. I like the author.
Janet Evanovich can be very funny for sure
watched inglolrious basterds again. Classic Q Tarantino
The drug addicts I interview for work often compare themselves to characters in Pulp Fiction. I keep expecting Tim Roth to show up in Court.
Hate golf.
Saw Munich. So so.
we had a free On Demand movie and DH chose Swordfish with Travolta, Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman. Laughably BAD!!!!
I'm making a list of best classic movies for DD1. All of Hitchcock, Humphrey Bogart, Singing in the Rain and American in Paris (she's already looking for all of Gene Kelly) , Music Man, West Side Story, Modern Times, to Kill a Mockingbird, Metropolous. The list will grow.
My 2 yr old grandy in Texas loves Singing in the Rain
12 Angry Men- the original
Streetcar Named Desire
That would be a huge list!
Some of mine include The Third Man, Godfather 1 & 2, Treasure of Sierra Madre, African Queen, Quiet Man, Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Wonderful Life...
Taxi Driver
Ditto African Queen
Casablanca
GOne with the Wind
Wizard of Oz
Yes on Taxi Driver and Caablanca. All Fred & Ginger movies. The Bandwagon. South Pacific. Carousel.
I wouldn't be able to list mine there are so many!
Anything with:
Audrey Hepburn
Katherine Hepburn
Grace Kelly
Doris Day
So many more...
Robert Mitchum
Cary Grant
Gregory Peck
Spencer Tracy
Sounds like we're all thinking in the same direction.
This kid wants to start a movie night with her BF and anyone else who has time to relax. She's revving up for college now. Although still a Spanish major she is now leading with the idea of immigration law and investigating how hard it might be to pass the bar exam.
Some other courtroom dramas might be good in the mix. Definitely 12 Angry men.
to kill a mockingbird
Best movie/book ever! Hence my dogs Atticus and Harper!
Netflix viewed Les Miz.
Awful.Sets were marvelous, singing was realtime and terrible, should have recorded a separate track.
Story hardly qualifies for a musical,Master of the House was the best bit, cant remember the actresses name but she was quick and funny.
Watched Dragon Tattoo the other night. Very good. Very intense and def NOT for kids.
The Lady Eve is a fave.
One of my favorite Cary Grant movies is a very different type of role. Called People Will Talk, it's really worth seeing.
Oh I love that one! Yes a bit different.
My DH nominated Father Goose for this list. I think that was Cary Grant too.
I was also unthrilled with Les Mis overall. Sasha Baron Cohen and the female were great with Master of the House. Anne Hathaway's big song made me very sad.
It Happened One Night.
Apocalypse Now. Horse Feathers. Duck Soup. The Apartment. Mr. Roberts. The Out of Towners.
