I enjoyed Bucket List too. Lou took the girls to see Monsters U, said the same thing.

We watched Just Go With It...Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, was cute.

Loved Slumdog Millionaire- only just saw it myself in the last two years.

Watched a nice fantasy story tonight - The Lady in the Water.

We watched No Country for Old Men last night. I liked it a lot. My wife was angry that the bad guy got away! I told her that's life. Happens all the time in reality.

Loved Arizona, Fargo ; did they do Usual Suspects too? Dont think Big Lebowsky really wowed me. No Country was dark but good.

Got an audio book to play while doing my boring repetitve computer job, really made the time fly so I actually am more productive.

We had a month long trial membership in Amazon Prime to catch up on the Downton Abbey series. DH decided he likes Netflicks better in general, so we're keeping that one. Last night on Amazon we enjoyed an African adventure story -- I think was called The Ghost and the Dark. It was cool to learn that the lions Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas were hunting actually ended up as a familiar exhibit in Chicago's Field Museum. I remember shivering when I saw them as a child because they were so large.

I read that on facebook. I like that show, sure hope it's not drugs, bad message to send out to the young ones who watch.

It is most likely drugs, he's been in and out of rehab . :(

I agree with Pixie.He was alone,his fiancee and support was somewhere else.
We never know what tips an recovering addict over. So sad.

Sad how they can get a hold on people :( Seen too many in my life get messed up or loose their life from drugs/alcohol.

Watched "THe Late Quartet", with Philip Seymour Hoffman,and ...oh carp, brain ...can't remember his name... Anyway, the preview looked so so but the acting was very good and it came off as a very real story. Relationships, a string quartet has played together for twenty years and one is getting Parkinsons, so his bowing out sparks some simmering issues...

Cool about Sherries' dad's Indian Chief. Reminds me of the movie The Fastest Indian.

We saw A Late Quartet also recently and really liked it. Acting was superb. Christopher Walken was the older one getting parkinsons. I probably already wrote that his role I thought was truly spectacular in a different way was in Seven Psychopaths. There was a lot of violence in service of the plot in that one, though.

seven psyco's was pretty good - do not come to this thread much - geez some of the movies being watched are pretty old.

bucket list was rated a "rental" here - very predictable with familiar actors to make it watchable.

watched Scoop, a Woody Allen movie.
It was mildly amusing, romantic comedy with a twist, Woody Allen is in it with his usual 'character'
