Went through rain patches this morning, to be overcast most of the day and in mid 60's, warming trend coming cut they are calling for rain come weekend. I promised Darlene I'd go help her do her garage sale Saturday morning, would be so much nicer if it isn't raining.

Gee Debbie, I thought for sure Paul would have that b.b.q. set up and looking for something to grill..what's with that?

Good morning! ^_^ Yes, it's a great day to be at home. Dr. appt. and a hospital visit for meds and consultation later today.

Yes, Betty, he will behave, in fact that started at dinner last night and again with breakfast this morning. He's eating right and really thinking about his health. We have life style changes to make and it will be healthier for both of us.

Kids left to go back to TX about 20 minutes ago. They sure were a help while they were here. Kevin fixed a leaky kitchen faucet for us and put a new thingy in the toilet. He had other things he wanted to do to help his Dad, but ran out of time. They wouldn't accept any money from us to go toward their trip here.....so must admit I had to sneak it into a duffle bag in their room while they weren't around. I'll wait until they're way too far along to let them know where it's at!!!

Doesn't matter what the weather looks like outside....it's a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

I can just hear in your typed words Joyce how grateful you are to the Lord to have Bill by your side..it will be worth every lifestyle change..you are one lucky lady!!! Am sure the kids got a scare of their life getting that call..who has been helping out with Bill's dad?

Elsie (step mom) has been handling both lunch and dinner feedings. Bill's sister from VA came in when she heard about Bill and she took lunch a few days.

Night before last they put him in the Hospice program, so if no one can make it there he will still be fed by them. Hard decision, but a necessary one....

this is probably not the correct place to post this.....buttttt I know y'all are gardeners..... what is this bug on my tomatoes?? lots of holes in leaves :( and fruit falling off of plant. it is a grape tomato. how do I get rid of it??

Had a wonderful five days with Amma in LA and am now in Chula Vista getting ready to head home to Mexico - slowly and carefully.

I have seen a lot of stink bugs in my day....never one like that! LOL

Hey Cody, just a lazy day here. I got p this morning, watered the gardens, fed the hummers, swept and mopped the floors. Rest of the day was lazy...

Just came inside Debie, more hypertufa mushrooms. Lol. What to heck am I going to do with them. Lol

I'm in 2 swaps Debbie, old, new,borrowed and blue..also the Red/white/blue..

Betty LOL Just got paid today so I booked one of the last condo's at El Matador... I need to look up when that place was built ... it looks SO OLD ! We always laughed at that place Hubs and I when we go for sea shells it's the last condo on the beach... so we may have ghosts... LOL....

Morning all..

Up extra early this morning, got the binding on my quilt and have it here to hand sew!

Then went to put garbage to the curb and on the way in check my hypertufa..strong enough to take out of their molds and distress so one step ahead of the game today.

Mary, going to try to find room in my baggage for mushrooms for you and Jean..here's hoping!
Sure wish my trip was closer..everything planned, hotels booked, entertainment etc and now I sit and wait till Aug 3rd. lol

yesterday I was showing Suzanne photo's of the beach you were at..was telling her all about my trip to Texas and all the travelling I did so she said maybe we should talk to the girls and slate it in for our 2014 Roadtrip, it's either there or the east coast of USA

Oh, I miss the beach a lot! I love sitting and listening to the waves crash.
Betty, you have been to the beach before, so you know you will love to go again! Just make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen!

Lordy it was 20 years ago since that trip..because of oil spill in Galveston I travelled down I think it was Hwy35 along the coast, hardly a thing built up, be it's all high rises now.

You would be surprised at the changes!

Debbie, you should have seen me laughing on the way home, Sirius radio was playing "get your kicks on Route 66"

Here I was singing along with it, smile from ear to ear just a laughing and thinking of our roadtrip on Route 66. Lol

best of the day....went to habitat store and got 4 very nice chairs for the dining room for $51.00 !!! nice wood, with leather / vinyl seats. the worker said she thought they were from a Bob Evans restaurant. all in pretty darn good shape, a few scuffs here and there, but that is a o k by me. the chairs we had were very wobbly. getting to be we were afraid to have any one sit in them, that they would fall apart!! YIKES

my baby boy is at his uncle Ray's in Washington !! they are having a very good time together. some of the cousins will be over tonight for BBQ. son has not met some, and others he has not seen since he was an infant. one he has spoken with occasionally through facebook. should be an interesting gathering.

hubs had dr appt, for follow up on some of his tests, yesterday. DR says his brain is getting wrong information from his eyes, which is what can be causing some of the dizziness. he has appt for another test tomorrow. follow up appt with an ophthalmologist. and with a neurologist, still waiting for the referral on that... eyes move back and forth very very fast trying to figure out what is going on, due to something brain read wrong ??? causes increased vertigo. hard to explain. DR had to tell us a few times.
a common side affect, from severe head / neck / spinal injuries.... there are some exercises that can be done that sometimes help some people. will wait to see what other Drs say.

otherwise we had a nice day few days off together.. did a little bit of gardening, did some wondering around to local thrift shops. found some wonderful chairs....and I even did a bit of sewing :)

Thunder, glad you are in the right place to get answers with good doctors! AND it helps DH know he isn't loosing his mind...something is wrong! Lots or prayers and good thoughts coming your way.

Was saying how exciting it was for up you to have found the chairs and to only be $51.. Now if your family is like mine, no sooner would new chairs get put at kitchen table would they get scuffed up sooo you did well. What a saings, more money for fabric. Lol

Just like high tech equipment all wired for ultimate operating, guess we never think of our brains being wired the same..now that they have an incling as to what it might be he'll soon be rewired and back to himself..will he have to wait long for Appointment?

Just finished the quilt binding, mom's Christmas gift is done..was thinking, I was ahead of the game but after next month we are on the downswing, bet that isn't something anyone wants to be thinking of.

Haven't opened it Betty, I have been running...mostly mentally, but getting things done.

Shannon had her check up yesterday , doctor said "healing on schedule". The good news, no signs of cancer, which was our fear (Docs too).
BUT her tonsils were definitely needed out...massive infection inside them. She went to visit friend for " a few minutes" several hours ago, so
I would say she is doing better....had cabin fever for sure. We needed space between us also. Not on any heavy meds any more...so that is good.
