This garden is late to wake up, but once it gets going, watch out! The two closest plants are a very old Cimicifuga and Globe Thistle (1). Pics are from last summer, July and early August just before we went away. Sadly, the PG Hydrangea was lost in Sandy, pushed over and the trunk cracked at the base. We propped it up again, but this spring it was DOA :-(. It's been replaced, but the new one is not a dwarf, will get 10-15' tall. Different...

I found as my garden got more planted there wasnt room to make the color choices I would like to.Not as much space here anymore so offending colors get moved to"plant ghetto" which is looking pretty good lately.
There are some interesting combos that dont look too bad.

looking good Pfg... we had the same with a Weigela.. but it seems to have some new growth on it.. have to cut back the dead stuff

Just giving you an idea how small this is. :)

The mock orange is some where's near 50 or better years old...I didn't get to prune it last year so it's out of control. But...butterflies and bee's galore daily and yesterday I spotted a hummer having some of the sweet juices.

Allison the pensetmon was a Rhondo Mix I think, have red growing in the same clump.

LOVE Your baptisia looks better than the one I tried.Mine was really bland grey and matured to a pale blue.The best stage was the unopened bud,as a mass plant the effect wasnt wonderful.

Planted 2 clumps of red salvia. No one seems to have discovered it as yet.

They will Lucy, takes them time.....nice photos Allison, Pam, & Pixie.....Jo, love your term "plant ghetto"! Pam, I have started a bunch of blue alkanets.....they grow about 4-5' tall, but might be nice for your blue garden.

Here's the alkanet, along with a white clem, lily that I think is Peach Lace & a spuria iris.......

I have a mock orange that I needed to plant, but if they get that big the spot I was going to put it in is NOT gonna work

oh I almost forgot... the pic of the bird fountain I took the other day... won me a 2nd place in a summer decoration item from Christmas Central where I bought it.. they want the pics of there summer things.. got $50.00!!!!
