I purchased this Dasylirion (longissimum?) plant a couple of years ago and I have recently noticed the leaves are slowly turning brown/black and dying off. I keep it in a pot and just repotted it to a bigger one thinking it was cramped. No luck. The leaves are still dying off. I live in central Florida and keep it outside where it gets rain and lots of sun. Any ideas as to what is going on? I love this plant and don't want it to die!
Dasylirion (longissium?) not doing so well
Perhaps it is staying too wet. Once established they require very little in the way of supplemental water...do make sure the new container is draining quickly and not holding water.
