Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

YES! Jan has the place--the garden--the food and the organization skills of a Champion...

YES! getting ready for a swap is exhausting....then you spend the day in fresh air---
all that equals a need to get to bed and rest/sleep...

I had a wonderful time---All the plants I brought were doled out--no begging....

The ride home was easy--peezy....no traffic. Got home in no time.....

Thank you again--a thousand times, Jan for doing such a superb job.

A few more--
Someone (R-R-R) took the more closer-ups of all of us...mug shots...
I stuck to the "scenery" and flowers...

I'm home, and with any luck Terri (Aspenhill) and her friend Cheryl are as well. We unloaded my car, packed their plants into Terri's car, and sent them on their way.

What a fabulous day! I'm just repeating all the above comments, I know... but Jan & her DH were wonderful hosts and had everything set up beautifully for a big group. They're truly grand grandparents, too -- Joyanna would have had a blast there today! Sunshine Girl did have a great time at the pool party, but she sure wished she could have done this adventure also!

Thanks so much to everybody who came and contributed not only plants but a day of great conversations, hugs, and laughter. No matter the hour, I'm always so uplifted and energized after we all get together, and I was so thrilled to meet some other DGers in person as well as getting to know some of their friends, sisters, nephews, etc. -- future DGers, I hope!

David, let us know your sister's DG "handle" when she signs on so we can suck her right in welcome her & make her feel as comfortable online as we were with her in person!

It was such a wonderful day! Many thanks to Jan for hosting such a great event! All the preparation work and clean up!!!

I was delighted to see old friends and meet new friends! I especially appreciate those who traveled a long way to come to the swap. Hope you have had a safe trip home.

Thank you everyone, but I just happened to be where 'the event' took place. You all did the hard part of digging and dividing and doling out.

Thankful for a cooler, cloudy day. The rain held off til the very end when it started sprinkling.

I am truly blessed to have you for friends. Thank you for the compliments. Thank You also for the plants and plants and tokens of thanks. Very much appreciated!!

Soooo... Where is the next one?

PS... I am still very excited and need to wind down.

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

My friend Cheryl and I had a wonderful time too. I echo the sentiments of everyone: Jan, thanks so much for hosting, you were the hostess with the mostess, Your place is great. I also enjoyed meeting the folks from "up north" and seeing familiar faces from our more southern locations. Nice get together!!!

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

Thank you Jan for hostessing a truly enjoyable swap! We all had a great time, just wish we could have clipped a few hours from some other day and inserted them into yesterday afternoon. Time went so fast and I didn't get in half the visiting I would have liked. Thank you everyone for all your plants.

Williamstown, NJ(Zone 6b)

You are all such a great group of people. I look forward to the next one.

These swaps just keep getting BETTER! We had a wonderful time swapping and socializing in that beautiful location. We went straight to my DD's house to baby sit just 25 minutes away. DD and her DH slept late while we took care of the kids in the morning and then we took off. I LEFT MY CAMERA THERE!!. I asked her to put the photos on Snapfish.com and send them to me. I won't be able to retrieve the videos for a while. I hope she finds the time to get the photos to me tomorrow or the next day. Sooo disappointed that I can't see them all right now. I will just have be satisfied with remember all the FUN that I had. I thought that being the designated photographer was going to cut into my mingling time, but quite the contrary, I had a excuse and chance to talk to Everyone!! How great is that?

Jan, I think the only picture that I might be in is the one where we hugged and put our heads together. That says it all.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

I have been out in the drive way separating the plants those for me and those I brought home for Buttoneer. I must say that I have a truck load of beautiful and much desired plants. I am not sure in the swapping frenzy if I properly thanked everyone that so generously gave me plants. What a wonderful and generous group of people gathered together yesterday. Thank you everyone.

annapolis, MD(Zone 7b)

Ditto and double ditto to all above!
Jan, you and Jeff were unflappable! Wayne and I commented several times on our drive home about all the little ways you made our day great from assistance backing in, to all those tables and chairs. I loved the spot you 'reserved' for me in the shade of that faceful tree. Liked your Granddaughter and her sign was really neat. Loved how she and Jen's daughter got in to the swapping mode. Also loved how when you were giving us the low down on which delectables were available for lunch (in your cool custom kitched!) where we were standing , we could smell each dish as you called it out to us" Two 'desert tables', too.

And a shout out to Roses for our name tags and gift table slips. Had to laugh when you diccovered you hade forgotten to list your own name! Glad the pair of ducks are going to live in your garden.

Sallyg as your plant ferry (or is that fairy?) You have quite a hall! Oh, yes, and a Big surprise from Gitanilla!

So many lovely things like Robin's jewelry, and lovely plants (Paul brought 2 deciduous azaleas in bloom and fragrant, and variety of say, tomatoes (go Nisi) and coleus and other delights for sun or shade and in between! Bare root, bagged, potted up freshly dug our cuttings taken. I especially enjoyed watching Nutsfordaylily/ Karen holding up each plump clump with requesters assembled in a semicircle to receive their goodies! It would be something to see them all at the peak of bloom somewhere North of New Jersey! (Hint, Hint)

Chantell, I have your soda bags! Logan is every bit as nice as he was at the Fall Swap.

Can't say enough about how truly enjoyable it was to have Memory, Celeste and Karen with us and to see the Jersey girls and meet sisters, nieces, and other extended members of the growing Maf 'family'.
And the smiles and laughter and good fun.

Now out to open up my van and survey all that green life. I'm sure by this evening I'll have lots of questions! Will there be a thread for that?

Oh yes. congratulations and best wishes for your plum adventure Ruby!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Would someone(coleup) start a thread for the after event questions and answers and chatting??? I am going to have the other threads unstickied.

Thank you for the kind words. It was a highlight day for sure. From the weather to the friend's and plants and fellowship and food. Don't forget the food.
