Yes, in Maine too. :)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Bloom now, rest and then in fall will get a few blooms but not as many as spring. Then they go to sleep for the winter.
Mine are just now spreading again after dividing them last year.

I'd better pass on the primula, then... I bet summer is just too hot for them here.

I'll be adding to my list in the next week or two, as Joyanna and I get "out there" to do some dividing and potting. Sorry not to have been able to get to it sooner and have nicely-rooted divisions... but I'm hoping most things will "take." It's probably a good assumption that most things from me will want a month (or more) to fill their pots with roots before being up-potted or transplanted.

Who wants Greek Oregano? We've got half a dozen pots left after handing a few around... I have some small ones I could dig, or a big one I can split up -- or both!

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

Critter: I'd love a Greek oregano!

Onewish: I'd love a Nepeta Walkers Low if you have any left!

Greenthumb: I'd love a Trycyrtis if you have any left!

NutsforDaylily: I'd love a primula, if you have any left!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

you got it HM

Central, MD(Zone 7a)

Jill I would probably be interested in the Greek oregano. I just picked up an 8 foot long gutter to attempt an herb garden off the porch. So I'm prowling for herbs too I'll prob just go buy some too. Haven't figured out what to put in there yet. Well it isn't up either.

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

Terp: Your gutter idea is intriguing. Exactly what do you plan to do to use it as a planter?

OneWish: Thanks!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Terp, for sure I'll have some english thyme to bring, also... forms a low-ish (6 inch) mat around parts of my patio, and it's overgrown its bounds again. It's tasty, although I prefer the french thyme for cooking (but I've never had much luck propagating that one). I'm hoping to get a few other creeping thymes potted up to share also.

Central, MD(Zone 7a)

Happy. Seal up the ends and drill holes every 6 inches maybe for drainage then figure out how to hang it.

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

Terp -- so you are using it like a long window box planter?

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

Coleup had posted a picture of a gutter garden about a month ago - was the first time I had heart of this idea, and thought it would be great for lettuces hanging on the side of the house near the kitchen door. I can't remember which thread it was posted on - dag gone it - and don't have much time to sort back through right now. Judy - if you remember where you originally posted, can you repost or post the first link here? Really was a neat idea.

Chevy Chase, MD(Zone 7a)

It sounds like a fantastic idea -- I'm wondering if I could use it to capture some sun -- though off-hand I don't think I have any sun in a spot where I'd be able to hang this. I assume you could just use standard gutter hangers to hang it....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

If you have enough to go around, I'd love a red painted fern also, please...

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

Roses_R_Red, do you have any yellow variegated hostas?

Mount Laurel, NJ(Zone 7a)

okay, got everyone for the Painted Ferns. I may not have many more left at this point. And, I'm not sure of the cultivar. It looks like 'Burgundy Lace' to me.

Terp Applecourt looks interesting ...wouldn't it be better named Mermaid lol

http://rotarygardens.blogspot.com/2012/03/japanese-painted-ferns.html

Central, MD(Zone 7a)

I got it in a mail trade last year. Who knows what it really is. Its only rreally distinguishable in the spring as the season goes on it starts to resemble the others. This may be a case of diluted cultivars or simply me not knowing enough about JP ferns.

Also after reading the blog it might further benefit from a better spot instead of under a full size JM bloodgood. The roots on the tree are quite dense and shallow. It also might explain why mine have never sent out any spores and the neighbor's PJF multiplies like rabbits every year. Oh well. I like it in its current spot.

I look forward to seeing your red.
