If Lancelot is a hybrid, it's parents can be propagated and crossed to make Lancelot.

If it's an heirloom - then I don't know the answer.

I don't know the answer either but If I wanted to know I would ask Dixondale why your seeds failed.I have never tried the seed saving because $5 buys me all the leek sets I want to grow. I have found the owner to answer and explain fully and cheerfully. He surely helped me grow onions and that's my story and I am sticking to it.
