Thanks Jen. All the doggie expressions are priceless.
When I was at the vet hospital yesterday, a well dressed man walked past me with what I assumed was a wolfhound.....I said I missed mine.....He said very snottily, "It's a deerhound!" And I said just as snottily, "Well that's the biggest deerhound I've ever seen!" My wolfie was 120....this dog was about 140, way too large for the breed. There were about 200 cars in the parking lot, some type of conference was going on....hope he wasn't the main speaker!
Wow, why do people have to be so rude?
Karen
a breeder most likely ... the woman that lives in our neighborhood that breed and showed yorkies .. complimented Lily on her perfect colors... and bashed me for not pinning there ears to make them stand up.. how I should have cut the hair on the back of the ear when they were puppies blah blah blah
Your probably right, Allison....I've met snots like him at the dog shows....I did think 'breeder' immediately......
We bred cockers spaniels for years. the members of our club including DH & myself were very nice. ☺

If I was feeling kind of laid back I'd would of just looked at her and told her that I like my dog the way she is just fine. If I was feel like being more assertive, I'd told her "and your mother should of taught you some manners when you where a pup. If I was felt like really lashing into her I'd of added "instead of letting you grow up to be an obnoxious b----!"
Lucy, I feel you were the exception....my neighbors breed English bulldogs & are lovely folks....but they don't show them. I felt this man was belittling me for not recognizing a deerhound instead of just correcting me nicely. He was very arrogant.
yeah I don't think those breeders let 7 puppies run over there head laying on the floor with them .. LOL
exhausting as it was.. we had a blast
Glad you got to experience that....I love it when there are bulldog puppies next door to me....hope they breed again next year.....They have 3 females, but only 2 are old enough, & they don't breed them very often.
Oh no Mr G! Hope he feels better soon, good luck trying to keep him still!
Poor baby.....he's such a doll...hope it heals soon!
Shoot Sherrie! Hate hearing this...hope he heals well and fast.
I'm sorry to hear he hurt him self. Good luck with keeping him in couch potato mode.
yes he is so used to running around, poor dog.
Poor baby, hope for speedy recovery
Bear is funny with food he hasn't eaten before. If I'm eating it he has to try it. I was eating ginger snaps this morning and he just had to have one. I gave him one and he carefully took it with his mouth and tasted it on the tip of his tongue, deciding if he was going to eat it or not. I guess he likes them becase he chewed it up and came back for more. Things he doesn't like such as bananas he gentlely lays on the floor.
funny
Clifford dug into the trash and pulled out a plastic bag. He walked over to DD1 and dropped it at her feet and looked at her. It contained her gauze and bandages from after oral surgery. It was like he was saying to her, "Did you forget something?"
Funny Clifford!
I had to leave Suey in the kennel for 2 days while I went to NH....she cried & sobbed when she saw me.....I don't know what will happen when I leave her longer in August....she was always clingy, but since her cancer treatments, I can't leave her for 5 min!
Aww poor Suey...shame you can't take her with you.
Sad to be parted after her ordeals, but I 'm glad she's well.
I took her to the lake once....she took their collie's toys away, ripped them up, then growled at poor Casey....kennel it is for her!
Shame on you Suey!
Poor misunderstood Suey ;)
Hard to believe someone would do a thing like that!
I do believe it. I have to give a second opinion today on an animal cruelty case. The penalties for a guilty finding are significant, and they guy is incarcerated awaiting trial.
Oh, dear....my opinion would be like 50 years in jail!
