Glad Suey is felling better!!

The eggs arrived today in great shape. I can't get Dominique to sit in the nesting box, she keeps going in the corner on the coop floor. I put the eggs down on some clean shavings a bit away from were she was laying while she was up doing her business. When I went out to check she has them moved into her little corner keeping them warm. Hopefully in 19-21 days we will have a few new chicks. Keeping my fingers crossed a few hatch for the girls! (And me too!)

Thanks, Pixie.

Me too!! I'll be happy if I get two.
Domenic has decided he loves the chickens...cried like crazy when I closed the coop door! We had to bring him in the house and give him his favorite cheez its to get him to stop!

And the best marriage partners too.

I feel like I'm hogging the thread but I just had to post this...I got an early Mother's day gift from my girlies!
A beautiful little parakeet. His/her name will be Sparky...long story short, any Parakeet that anyone on my side of the family has had, has been named "Sparky" after our original one we had as kids, darn thing lived 13 years at least!

Suey had a very bad today, running a fever....I brought her to the hospital, but the vet couldn't find anything wrong.....she did eat some boiled chicken for dinner & drank some water....bloodwork was normal....she is just sleeping the whole time......I'm just a basket case!

South Hamilton, MA

Very difficult as she can't tell you if she feels uncomfortable. but you have her in good care. Try & keep calm yourself. ☺

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

hope all is well there.. big ole hugs

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

So sorry Marilyn hugs to you and Suey. I hope she feels better.

Thomaston, CT

Thank you kind friends.....Suey's temp was very high last night, so I kept wiping her down with cool wash cloths, & letting her lick ice cubes.....she finally slept the night, and her temp, while still not normal, was down this morning....she is still very weak.

South Hamilton, MA

difficult to deal with.

Thomaston, CT

Rushed Suey to the hospital at 2:00, temp of 105......hospital is an hour away, the one covering for my vet was just as far....thought I lost her on the way over. However, she made it & after an hour on IV was improved enough to walk into the exam room to see me...she was admitted with what the vet thinks is pancreatitis, even though she lacked some of the symptoms....if she continues to improve, I can take her home tomorrow. Don't want to go through that again.....

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Oh no ((((♥♥♥))))

South Hamilton, MA

Best of luck with her tomorrow. Bless you for all your care.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks....when I called last night at 9, she was being treated by the techs...they called at 9:30, said she seemed comfortable & her temp was in the normal range......

Thomaston, CT

Suey...part 2.....the vet on duty called & told me Suey could go home if she ate a bowl of food...she wasn't eating for them at all, & for me to come to the hospital with her fav foods....she ate several mouthfuls that I hand fed her.....that was it...she didn't look like she was ready to go home, appeared very weak, but when I took her outside, she perked right up, walked fine, seemed stronger....back in the hospital, she wilted like a daisy. I told the vet to keep her another night, I don't know why they thought she was ready to go home. Another 2 hour trip tomorrow.......
