Yes, they look ferocious! Danes are pretty laid back, though.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

They can get rough with each other. I like when they play Winston gets worn out!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

If I fill in one more whole Winston is going in it!!
GRRR he's the worst digger of all of them!

Thomaston, CT

Wow....I'll bet Dane holes are huge! My Suey has never dug .....my reward after having 3 airedales that dug constantly.....especially in my flower beds!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Michele's puppy from our litter.. loves loves loves to dig.. don't ask me where that came from.. ankle twisting enough with a small dog.. can't imagine a dane hole.. ugh.. and Michele's hubby is a fanatic with his lawn.. makes me nuts.. tells Michele she had better train her to stop doing that.. LOL

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Yup some are huge, luckily they are way in the back under the grape vine. The ones in the lawn are ankle twister for sure!

I just saw the fattest Corgi

South Hamilton, MA

poor thing--trying to be a Bassett Hound.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

LOL!!!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Anyone hearing from Doug? Hope Doug and Bear are landing on their feet!

I couldn't have managed to keep working all day today without my helper. Cliffie motivates me and then he gets to rest in the cool dirt. Today we planted the magnolia tree I've been evaluating in a pot (excuses escuses)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

fun stuff!!

Thomaston, CT

There's a show in September at the Goshen Fairgrounds that I love to attend......you meet some great dogs ...& their owners!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Where was it Jen? I'd like an outdoor one.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Woohoo just won 6 Bantam Millie Fleur Cochin eggs on eBay. Hopefully my broody mama hen will hatch them for us!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It was at Mercer County Park
They said the next round(whatever they call it, Nationals? I think) is also going to be in Jersey

How do they ship the eggs?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Priority mail wrapped in bubble wrap and put in egg carton then that gets wrapped in bubble with packing peanuts...not guaranteed from PO breakage but they do send extras. Figured it was worth 20 bucks to try it. The Bantam Cochins are hard to find. None of the hatcheries will ship small amounts of chicks. I can't house 15 of them.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Is there dry ice in there? or can they stay warm?

Thomaston, CT

Wow....sounds like fun raising the chicks.....

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

No dry ice, as long as they stay room temp after collected they are okay, no heat until they get here. I'll get them under my hen as soon as they arrive.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Good luck Ronnie!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks! It will be fun if they hatch. I've already talked to the girls to make sure they understand it may not happen.

Thomaston, CT

The dogs will be OK with the chicks? My Suey would not be!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Harper is fine but Winston isn't and Abby is to old to care...the run is dog proof but I'll have to be extra careful when the coop door is open, Winston sails over the fence.

Thomaston, CT

Oh, wow.....he is a big boy! Suey developed diarrhea today, just like the print out said....3-5 days after treatment with this chemo.....I gave her rice & tonight boiled chicken & rice.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Marilyn - {{{hugs}}}

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Memory......poor little thing is exhausted.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

pumpkin can help with that.. just make sure it's just pumpkin in the can .. no spices

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Hugs for Suey!!

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Allison.....I knew that, just didn't think of it for the dog, just people! She seems better today, but time will tell.....

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Pumpkin is great on dogs & cats. :)

Thomaston, CT

Suey is fine today....no more problems...I hope. But I will ask the vet about the pumpkin when she gets that chemo again.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)
