not supposed to harvest for 3 years.. year 2 and 3 .. should be just light harvesting .. I just left them alone.. not sure if that is right or not.. I bought another 10 crowns this year
Food for spring
I only bought one plant, to see how it would do.
I do that with a lot of plants, hate to buy a bunch and have them die out.
I planted one in my home made earth box two years ago... looks great this year.. had to go for it.. and jump in with 10
My neighbor said her asparagus was sad this year, I'll have to find when she planted it
had chuck roast, was going to make 2, 1 to take to a friend's house whose hubby is in the hospital but when I opened the 1 pack it was like something died...whew...I hate that!!! nowhere near expiration date, had to go get another 1 so crock pot is still on with the 1 I'm bringing her tomorrow
When did you plant 10? I don't have a lot of room, but might get a few more.
DHs friend gave us some he picked yesterday, was fat, but tender.
Deb, let the stalks grow up, they'll turn into foliage to feed the clump....next year you can pick a few stalks, but never pick all the stalks, because you want some to nourish the plant.....I only have one clump, it's enough for me, but you might want to plant a few more......
Thanks Robin!
Welcome!
And Allison!
they are in my kitchen waiting to be planted.. all new.. just got them in the co-op on the other site
Roasted a chicken with cornbread stuffing, green beans, & sweet potato salad.....
pizza
Leftovers! Heehee. Hooray!!!!! The food yesterday was incredible at the swap!!
Happy to hear that.....wish I could've been there.....
You could feed the whole neighborhood, I think
It was hubby's b-day today and we were supposed to go out to dinner, he ended up working late cause it was so hot, so we didn't go out and I didn't have a back up plan so it was just chicken tenders in a wrap and then I had a women's mtg at church and we had a monkey bread cook off, I am stuffed
love money bread!!.. happy birthday hubby!!
Ooh, is money bread real?
yeah.. my friends call it monkey brain bread.. take the caned biscuits cut them in 4.. dip them in what you like and put them in a bunt pan.. I do a garlic parm & the traditional cinnamon sugar .. wouldn't be thanksgiving without it
I make it with bread dough, but I was hoping for money bread
I'm sure hubby was happy with the meal....too hot to eat yesterday! I've never had monkey bread...maybe when I am more ambitious....
Pork chop and Indian vegetable curry.
My friend made hers from scratch....sooooo much better than the ones made from Grands
pesto & pasta.. with broccoli... and I feel faint... Randy LIKED it!!!!!
Sounds good to me...I sauteed chicken & made Spanish rice for my son's family.
Went to Irish Pub had corned beef boxty, and have some for lunch tomorrow
