I fully understand, Marilyn. It isn't easy when you know you are losing them soon. My heart goes out to you. All you can try to do is take it one day at a time and follow Bill's advice. Hugs,
Louise
Our final sunset of the season......we're on our way through FL right now....

Safe trip back!
Safe & happy journey, Louise & Hank.....
have a safe trip Louise
saw an ad on freecycle for free fire wood.. figured we would go pick it up this morning.. the same exit as cracker barrel.. Randy will be more prone to get up early for that.. bad news is.. he hit a parked car in the parking lot with my truck.. UGH.. wish I would have driven today :(
wasn't real bad but scraped the front fender.. just not a good start to the day.. but I cleaned up the garden some to clear my head
Oh, no....sorry to hear that, Allison. Trucks are wider than they seem....I'm sure Randy wasn't too happy :>(
You need to stop letting him drive your truck!
don't I know it Jen.. he normally is better at parking in a lot like that .. than I am.. but he was rushing today for some reason.. gets like that when he has a lot to do.. was just a bad thing.. the walk of shame into the restaurant and ask them to announce we need the owner was the worst
That stinks Allison but I did giggle at your walk of shame statement!
I'm pooped and sore, did a lot of clean up this weekend. Lou put up a new privacy fence in the hopes our neighbors dog will now leave ours alone and it will hold Winston!
totally accurate too :(
yeah for the new fence!!!
I started some garden clean-up today
So much to do, but I can't get out there yet.
ahhhh I love Kona coffee!!!!
The spring peepers are going crazy today, & I saw my 1st two butterflies...mourning cloaks....
Saw a yellow sulphur
peepers here last night could be heard with the windows closed - sun turtle sighting today in the pond!
Yay!
in town I don't get to hear any peepers. I heard some out at the barn where I now have my horse(had to change boarding barns) I've missed hearing them.
I think it's too soon.. but I will put feeders out anyway
http://www.hummingbirds.net/map.html
I put mine out too Allison, just in case!
I see one made it to Rhode Island already.
Last year was may 6th.. And may 15, 2011.. I don't see them until after the azaleas bloom.. But I put one out anyway
Hope you get to see them soon.....
I ordered a pack of ant moats should get here tomorrow, I'll put my feeder out by end of week
Most of mine have built in moats .. Does work if you keep it filled
Allison, sorry for poor Randy....such a great guy...he doesn't deserve to take the walk of shame. It happens to all of us! I backed into a railroad tie in a crowded parking lot once in Hank's brand new Grand Cherokee, and it did a ton of damage to the gas line. I still feel HORRIBLE about that. Hope it isn't too bad to fix!
RD, how is Suey doing today? And you?
Bill, that is very cool to see a sea turtle in your pond! Do you see them often?
what do mean sea turtle? it says sun turtle, you still on Florida time? :)
Not Catholic although thought some of you may enjoy this...........
Subject: Catholic Hairdryer
In parochial school students are taught that lying is a sin.
However, instructions also advised that using a bit of imagination was OK
to express the truth differently without lying.
Below is a perfect example of those Teachings:
Getting a Hairdryer Through Customs.....
An attractive young woman on a flight from Ireland asked the Priest beside
her, "Father, may I ask a favor?"
"Of course child. What may I do for you?"
"Well, I bought my mother an expensive hair dryer for her birthday.
It is unopened but well over the Customs limits and I'm afraid they'll
confiscate it. Is there any way you could carry it through customs for me?
Hide it under your Robes perhaps?"
"I would love to help you, dear, but I must warn you, I will not lie."
"With your honest face, Father, no one will question you."
When they got to Customs, she let the priest go first.
The official asked, "Father, do you have anything to declare?"
"From the top of my head down to my waist I have nothing to declare."
The official thought this answer strange, so asked, "And what do you have
to Declare from your waist to the floor?"
"I have a marvelous instrument designed to be used on a woman, but which
is, to date, unused."
Roaring with laughter, the official said, "Go ahead, Father. Next please!"
LOL!
Funny!
LOL
ha ha
Thanks, Bill....needed a chuckle! Louise, Suey is doing fine, you would never know she was ill......I know the chemo will be different this week, but still hoping she will be her chipper self.....
my neighbor's newest grandson(Ryan) born today 9lbs 7oz 22"...yep he's a big 'un!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the world, Ryan!!!
Yikes that's a big boy!!
Whoa! No newborn clothing for Ryan!
got a splitter raking Saturday in my thumb - hurt like heck when it happened - had my nurse wife take a close look daily since then because it was very sore and a little pussy - finally put some antibiotic cream on it last night - and I just pulled out a 1" long splinter that finally popped out a bit so it could be seen (it was close to skin color so we could not see it) - no wonder it hurt so much it was almost through my thumb!
That's a big one
wha:
While I "feel your pain"...
Your description used the exact terms which victor has always used to describe you.
Coincidence? I think not...
