he also had them just up on a saw horse looking thing as well.. I can see totally leaning this against my house on the sunny side to give me more space for herbs and things like that

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I like that idea, sure wish I had all the pallets from the pizza shop now!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Randy is always trolling craigs list.. will have to put him on that.. LOL

Thomaston, CT

Loved the ones with the petunias in them....thin I would also like one with succulents......and the painted ones were cool, too!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Hank and I love those pallet gardens! I can see one in our future! I liked the same one you like, Marilyn....with the petunias and painted. At the bottom of that site that Celeste gave us the link to, check out the links at the bottom to other ideas. Amazing ingenuity! And I also liked the recycled dresser drawers etc.....very clever!

Some folks are just so talented.....

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

What I was thinking is how great it is to be here together where people like Allison, for one example, share their finds and ideas so we can all benefit from each other. There really is so much talent -even here - and I so enjoy celebrating the talents of others, especially my friends.

DonnieBrook: That is a wise observation. When I think back to my gardens before Daves Garden and what the contributions of members have meant to my garden vision plans, there is a world of difference.
Just being able to see what others have done and how their plant groups look is really great.
Not to mention advise.
Allison gave me the id. for one of my all time favorite coleus 5 years ago.Kingwood Karnival.
The advise didnt end there.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

and most of my garden was built off all your advice as well

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

someone needs there Mommy to give em a smack!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Dug out all the eggs....now to stuff them before next Saturday. DD Tiffany has to work on Easter Sunday so we will do our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Buffet the day before Easter. This is a first....but it will be easier on my DD's and I do remember how hectic a Holiday can be with kids and work.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yeah it can be.. and I am usually exhausted the day after

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I just need the weatherman to be right....40 degree's with sun this week and the snow will melt. I hate the thought of hiding eggs in the snow as pretty as it may be!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yeah I guess I can hide eggs for my new niece next year.. Auntie A will have to make her think I am trying to find them too.. LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

She'll love it!!

Thomaston, CT

This is exactly what the conversation was like at my grandkids.......Anni was worried they wouldn't find the eggs in the snow, & thought Mom could hide the eggs in the house....HayHay said no way....think of the noise & the things that could get broken....Grant doesn't eat candy & didn't care......

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

this caught my eye through the living room window last night.. looked at Randy.. said is there a storm tonight????... think I just saw lightning.. LOL

Thomaston, CT

Yes, that sighting really shook up my sister!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh My!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I saw that on facebook Allison, thought it was a hoax...weird...

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

They are really cool to see!

South Hamilton, MA

Not as large as the Russian meteor. Evidently they are quite common, but burn up before the are sighted.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

trying to catch up. please excuse any lack of punctuation or capitals. I'm doing this by voice on my phone to make it quicker. we got behind on our power bill in the power was shut off last Thursday. even though we paid the past due balance on Thursday they wouldn't turn us on Friday because they said they were booked. and then of course they're close on the weekends. they didn't think this was an emergency. I hate the power company. I'm waiting here at home for them to show up to turn the power back on. I'm out of kindling and good dry wood so I'm sitting here my cold house. the sink is full of dirty dishes. vacuuming and laundry need doing. I'll have to throw out most of the stuff from the fridge. I put 2 big bags of ice in the freezer so most of the stuff in there is okay. I'll just have to cook it all up.

okay now that I've got that off my chest I'll go back and try to catch up.

I hope the rest of your day goes better.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh no! that stinks

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

thanks guys.

Ronnie I hope your knee is feeling better.

Rosemary that sounds like some pretty precise surgery. I hope you recover well.

Louise those orchids are beautiful.

Allison that workshop sounds like it was a lot of fun.

I'm mostly caught up now. power company is still not here. I hope to get here soon. I have a friend coming over soon to bring me some homemade lentil soup. she's also going to pick up 2 bottles of dry wood for me from Cumberland Farms. I can get a nice hot fire going then.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Karen. My next door neighbor had that happen last year...plus she lost her cell, & has no landline, so she came over to use mine....she told the power company it was an emergency....which it wasn't....but her baby was only a few months old, so I would have said the same. Plus she was crying so hard, I went back to her house to care for the baby....she needed a break.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Yikes Karen that stinks...glad your getting it back on...thanks my knee is fine!

South Hamilton, MA

Troublesome, Karen. Hope that they show up soon.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

glad you are lit up again Karen!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Sorry to hear that Karen, hope things take a turn for the better!

Easter is Sunday but Tiffany has to work so Sat. morning will be our Easter egg hunt. I bought each girl a bathing suit, jump rope, kite, stuff toy, arts & crafts for rainy days and so on. Here is an example of how I stuff my eggs. ^_^

I like it.
I bought Leah a little tutu skirt today that I am going to put on a basket for her. it came with a shirt and leggings that will go in the basket.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Wah..😢...I miss having little ones around at Easter. Very cute, Celeste! Debi, that sounds very cute for Leah too..

Glad you have found a way to solve your power issues, Karen. Tough this time of year, for sure!
