2013 N Central TX RU April 21st in Arlington #1 TRADE

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure Cheryl Columbine and Grounsel reserved for you.

Fort Worth, TX

I want to say I have similar to on the Earl of Essex, but I don't think I have that one. I have several "blue" varieties, one that is heavily scented, at least one dark purple variety, lots of white, one with a grayish top and blue/violet falls, but it has been a number of years since all have bloomed between drought and crowding, and I have lifted and given many away. Still have a lot to go. I set some out last year in individual spots so I could ID them, did 100+ feet of fenceline at one foot intervals, maybe I will get some bloom and find out. The peach I always kept separate, because they were my favorite.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Cheryl, I've put your name on a pot of the red dragon flower. Mine was in the greenhouse when it bloomed, and I noticed no smell at all. The flowers are vivid red, but small. lol I had my stapelia (starfish cactus aka carrior flower) in the sunroom when it bloomed. thinking the description of the odor had to be exaggerated. When the sun hit the great big beautiful flower, the odor was incredible and I took it outside immediately!

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Cheryl. Will be cleaning up my xerii bed today. Hope I will find something you want.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I have found some Mammoth sunflowers that self-seeded in my veggie bed. I think there are 3. If anyone is interested I can bring them, or seeds. Not sure how well they'll do potted up and then transplanted. Just don't plant them too close to your veggies as the sunflowers attract leaf footed bugs!

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

It looks like my pink fair duster is suckering, and I could try to pot some up if anyone is interested. I also found some coralberry.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Me for the fairy duster, please.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Someone asked me what kind of bay I wanted. I think it was Steadycam. I'd like the tree that you can use the leaves in cooking.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Yes, it was me Stephanie. Thanks. That would be Laurus nobilis? I have one for you.

I have added some seeds to my "haves" list. I've also added a few more flowering plants and will be adding veggies as I get my tomatoes planted.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

I have some snake herb and shrimp plant if anyone wants.
Dennis, probably too late but if there are any extra suckers, I'd love pink fairy duster too.

Arlington, TX

I would take the snake herb. I bought some last fall but it looks like both have died.

Patrob, can I get a mealy cup sage or a cutting of your autumn clematis as a swap for the peach iris?

Pbtxlady, can i get a skyblue salvia plant as a swap for the peach iris?

I finally posted my swap list. I've got some potted snowflakes on there too, and if someone needs a lot of iris, mixed colors, let me know.

Hi All,

I thought I might show you guys what I was using some of the wine bottles for. Since I work a lot I dont get to water my garden when I need to sometimes and since my raised bed is not put in yet (again, time issue here), I have all my starters and plants in containers.

The wine bottles I get from work are perfect for helping me keep the little sprites watered. I can come by in the evening after work and fill the bottles as they empty. I have used similar methods in my raised beds in the past.

If you are busy and have the same problem, I have the bottles. I get 2 or 3 from work a week so that means I will have quite a few when the RU comes. Let me know if you want any, I will be more than happy to help you out.

Anna, may I have a Mrs. Duelberg?

Sooo pretty Marty.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

My suspected Cowpen daisy seedlings are starting to get the whitish look to them so Im sure that's what I have. Patrob, you may give the cowpen daisies to someone else who wants them. 4 is all I would ever have room for. Im all set now.

Im not talking about my mystery seedling that I posted to the ID forum. I still dont know what that is.

Arlington, TX

Austin,
I can give you some small, very small starts of a few cacti if you are interested. I did almost no propagation last year so I don't have any potted up currently. I can send you a Dmail with what I have.

Gee, Angel, if there was some way for you to get some of t;hose dog food bags to Patrob for her to put the goat poop in, that would be a win-win for sure. Just thinkin', yeah, i know that dangerous when I do it.chuckle

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow what a fantastic idea! Patrob if you are going to be in Waco or Hewitt area in say about the week of the 7th or after I could make sure there are bags for poop delivery if you want. They are not huge but (about the size of a 'green' grocery store tote) I could get you a few. What do you think? Would it be worth it?

If not then maybe those who want poop from you might use them for toting it to their garden or containers?

Waco, I did not realize these were bags you had made. They are sooo cute. I thought they were just empty dog food bags. Never mind putting poop in them!!!! I want one! and not to put poop in. Told you it was dangerous when I think......chuckle.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Here is something else to do with Waco's wine bottles!!!
