Hello Carol and welcome to the swap, we are happy to have you.
I can give you some bearded Iris most of them purple.
Look at my list and ask for whatever is available.
Josephine.
Hi Carol! It's great that we will have several new people this year!
Look at my list and see if I have anything you'd like to have.
I'd like to trade for a Stuttgart canna and a yellow iris.
Welcome, covenant garden. Check out my list and ask for what you want. no need to trade me something.
GF Waco - 'Banana Pepper Starter" - are these banana pepper seedlings? because I forgot to get seeds, am starting all my bell peppers today, and would really like to have banana peppers too. 3 or 4 seedlings For an Iris?
I can do that no problem!
Angel
Welcome Carol, I am sure you will get some nice plants.
Cheryl
Welcome aboard, Carol! So glad you'll be joining us. You won't leave empty-handed!
I have a good number of natives in my available list. If you want anything then just ask away! No trades needed. My main goal for the RU is to NOT come home with anything that I brought with me.
Almost everything in my list is a Texas native, so check it out.
Also, I just updated my list everyone!
Stephanie, If no one claims the blackfoot. I would like to have it but Ive taken so much already give it to someone else if they ask.
Also, what type of bay are you looking for, exactly?

I have a lot of mixed iris - deep purple, lavender, white that I am lifting to make room for veggies and summer season blooms. I will not be potting these I don't think. Depending on how far I've gotten I may be lifting them the day before the roundup, so if they get planted the same weekend, they might either continue blooming or bloom this year. I have no idea how many I will be bringing. An old friend in the iris society blessed me in 1992, and I have multiplied that blessing a few times. so yes, Carol, plenty of iris, no trades needed. The one color I don't have is yellow, and i don't want yellow. I had one very favorite yellow shade but I am afraid I lost that iris in a move, and it is the only yellow one I'm partial to.
Dennis, by firebush, do you mean Hammelia patens?
Steadycam, yup, that's it. I should have put the Latin name, since I think that there are more than one plant with the nickname "firebush".
Marty, I'll put your name on the blackfoot daisy.
Gypsi, there is no need to pot up the irises. when you lift them just let them dry and bring them to RU in a plastic bag. You can lift them as much as a week before, Im certain.
I know. But I also know if they are not let dry they may continue their bloom and reproductive cycle without interruption. Been at this a few years.
SteadyCam3: What do you want in trade for Knock Out Rose Cuttings and Songbird or Saturns Rings Coleus cuttings?
Bananna18 - I am interested in the Dinosaur Kale seeds, what can I get you in trade?
Angel
GF Waco, You can bring me potting soil if you wish. and please note it was not me who asked for the wine bottles. Maybe anna or stephanie? I know someone asked.
Gypsi, did not realize you were trying that. Just wanted to help. I find that the day before the RU I am wicked busy.

today I learned what a rain lily was, after googling, from this thread. It's that thing that grows wild in my front yard. i believe I have the white. I never know what I will learn on Daves garden. I have a little balloon flower that showed up once in awhile. Have to be careful around my front flower bed where I migrate things that I find in the grass. So far I've also found 2 species of daffodil, the late one is currently in bloom. I have been trying to get the tiny purple wild iris to grow for me, but I think I have lost them, and I would like some someday.
and I have half a dozen accidentally unearthed summer snowflake bulbs, Leucojum Aestivum, that ended up in a pot today. (they were destined to go elsewhere, but ended up coming home with me, forgotten in the truck. Will be adding them to my offers for trade.
I am wicked busy every day from Feb 1st til July 1st, went partway through all 5 beehives today.
I won't have time to lift the iris probably until the night before RU. I would pot the peach just so I can identify them from the others. I have HUNDREDS of iris. Some need to go.
Gypsi, I spotted a volunteer Blue Crown passiflora yesterday. I'll pot it up for you.
Sorry SteadyCam3 - I told you I was trying to keep things straight! LOL
Angel
Bananna18 - I have you down for the wine bottles just need to know what size you want. I have the Regular 24 oz then I have the 32 oz as well.
I will have a few of these if anyone else wants some.
Angel
Thank you Steady Cam. I haven't had a passionflower in years.
Covenantgarden.....Welcome! I will add your link to the top post list.
I would love a start of your Shuggart canna. Still haven't gotten my list up, but will soon.
Welcome, Carol! I can bring you a Japenese iris if you like. Mine have never bloomed (in too much shade), but I'm told they're blue.
Josephine, I'd love your purple bearded iris. Don't have very many blues or purples.
Cheryl, got you down for the cones (did I already post that?). If you still have the heartleaf skullcap, will you put me down, please?
Gypsi, I would also love your peach iris, if there are any left. If not, do you have another iris you could bring? I have a bed full of irises from online friends and would like to include one from you. Or anyone else on here, for that matter.
Stephanie, did I ever answer you about the passi foetida? If you have a lot, I'd love two. I seem to have a hard time keeping them alive after the cats are through with them. Maybe if I have two, one might make it.
Anna, you know, I have had that bog sage for you going on two years now. And, the very minute I posted that, it started wilting, and now I think it's DOA. No idea what happened to it except that I posted that I had it! Anyway, the main pot of it is coming out nicely, so it shouldn't be a problem to get another one. Just wanted to let you know it won't be as established as what I had planned to bring.
While I'm doing that, I could probably get another one started, if anyone else wants one.
Stephanie and PB - heartleaf skull cap
I will pot up a bunch in each pot to save dirt and pots.
Does heartleaf skullcap actually bloom in shade? I have a little spot on the north side of my porch that might handle a small one, if I have anything you would like for one?
Has a long bloom time in part shade. The area they are in here gets morning sun and they bloom for about 3 weeks in late spring. I will bring you a start.
C
Thank you Cheryl.
Pattie-I'll bring you a couple of passis for you!
Gypsi-I have my heartleaf skullcap planted in partial shade and it does very well.
Waco, no trade necessary for the seeds...I have lots! I think 24 oz bottle...is that like 750 ml?
Gypsi: you are lucky to have those snowflake bulbs. I just bought a pack.
I have an amazing quantity of snowflake bulbs, but right now they are in bloom, and the bulbs are so deep and so crowded, I damaged the 6 I lifted, so I didn't want to harm them by trying to trade.
Serious trading coming up? They just grow beautifully, disappear below ground in summer, come back in winter. I started with 2 bulbs in 1993, and nurtured them along... They are at my daughters' homes now too
Bananna18 - yeah the regular wine bottles. I get them from work at least 3 times a week so I end up with a few. How many do you want? I will also bring some clear and some tinted, I have both.
Angel
I did find another use for the wine bottles on Pinterest this morning. I am thinking of trying my hand at it, if successful maybe it would be good for a door prize?

Angel:That will be an awesome doorprize! I think I'd like tinted glass.
Gypsi, it is good to know that the snowflakes divide so well. By any chance do you know if you have the Earl of Essex iris that needs dividing? I don't have too much room for iris but I hear that one reblooms well.
Cheryl, I would like a heartleaf skullcap if you still have. My cat left a dead rat at the door yesterday. I considered saving it for you but changed my mind 8 )
Please check my list to make sure I haven't forgotten anything.
Patrob, could I have a start of the red dragon flower? Do the flowers smell?
Got you down for the hl skullcap B.
Josephine could I have a columbine and a golden groundsel?
