2013 N Central TX RU April 21st in Arlington #1 TRADE

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Dennis, I would like some of your blue-green sedum if you still have.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

I've got you down for sedum, steadycam.

Sylvania, GA(Zone 8b)

Patrob - Thanks so much for the Iris and the Poop! Too funny, my husband saw my list and saw the poop on there and he burst out laughing and said, "I can give that to you without going to Arlington!" - sad sad sad LOL!

Smockette - Thanks for the Romas!

Frostweed - WOW! Thanks so much for the Brazilian Rock Rose and Iris!

SteadyCam - Just trying to keep things straight LOL!

I am really getting excited about my new yard now, thanks so much everyone. Please feel free to piliage what little I do have Haha! Already asked for my RU day off from work!

Angel

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Anna!

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Dennis, if you have enough, I'd like a start of your sedum too.

Arlington, TX

Would anyone else like to try some prairie verbena, I have some seedlings potted up.

Patrob, I have a couple types of sedum. One is probably the same as Dennis's. Would you like a little of each?

Steadycam, I started a few TX rock rose last year and if they have viable roots I can bring one. The appear alive as of this morning.

I also have a large pot with black and blue salvia in it. I haven't tried it in ground (afraid of it taking over) and it never really blooms much in the pot. I would be happy to pull it up and bring it to someone but I am not going to repot the thing as its huge.

To the two people with new yards, let me know if you would like anything, they would be small starts but all do well here.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Cheryl. I'm happy to have any and all sedums and it won't matter if some turn out to be the same. I'd like to have that black and blue salvia too. :)

Fort Worth, TX

I'd ask for some sedum but I am a sedum killer. I can take a perfectly healthy sedum and turn it into dust by the time I remember to water it, apparently. This is exciting! (Google is getting a workout.)

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

I should have plenty of sedum for all. This is hard stuff. I'll pot some up for you, patrob and gypsi.

Fort Worth, TX

thank you - but I definitely need care instructions. Starting with inside or outdoor plant? Inside the cats nailed it, after I rescued it from the sun outside, lol

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Cheryl, I will take all the Prairie verbena you can spare, but let others have a chance as well.

Arlington, TX

Did yours survive from last year?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I have two small ones in pots and one at the Fielder house.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Josephine, what is the Fielder House?

Hey everyone, I added some things to my list especially for those of you who have new yards. You dont need to trade me something. YOU DO have to ask for it because I wont bring things no one has asked for. Not enough room in my car.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

These are probably the same sedums as everyone else.... the first 3 grow really well...even for you Gypsy!
4th pic is a variety of ghost plant which has survived in a pot with occasionally being covered at below freezing temps.
Patrob, if there is still a twisted leaf Yucca left I would like another. I am starting a garden for my son in Austin and he loves the yuccas and agaves.Poop would be great too!
Steadycam, I would like to try the Thai ginger and the angelwing begonia.. Sounds yummy!...the ginger that is.
GFWaco, I would love some of those wine bottles . I looked on pinterest and was thinking they would look great in my kitchen window
Would love to try cowpen daisies from anyone.

Anna, you've got them, Thai ginger and AW Begonia

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thankyou! I can bring you an oak leaf H cutting if you still want.
GFWaco, I have lots of society garlic if you want any.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Marty, the Fielder House is a historical museum about Arlington history.
I have built a butterfly garden there with the help of other master naturalist volunteers, we are on our seventh year.
It looks really nice and it is 96% Texas native plants, we are working towards 100% native.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Thanks Josephine. I'd really like to see what you've planted. Anna, I would love an Oak-Leaf Hydrangea cutting. Thank you.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Cheryl, thanks for thinking of me on the Rock Rose. I hope it lives! I love that Black and Blue salvia. I have a small one that I got from Sheila last year and it looked great behind my Zexmenia that you gave me. The color combination is wow!

Arlington, TX

patrob will bring the 3 types of sedum and the BB salvia for you.

Arlington, TX

Dennis,
I have some small Drosera capillaris. I will try and seperate a small one to bring for you. I have not tried them outside but they are native to TX. I bought them this winter and will move them outdoors soon.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie, I will have a Satsuma orange for you, it is in a large pot and going in and out with it has become too tiring.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Cheryl, hopefully it works out because those look interesting. Would you still happen to have any extra cholla available?

Arlington, TX

I do have a couple small pieces I can bring. Also, I have some christmas cholla pieces I am trying to root if you are interested.

Anna, I may have sedum similar to your first one, but definitely not the other two. I'd love to have starts of all three and a piece of your ghost plant, if possible.
It would be an indoor-outdoor plant here, but with the kittens grown up, I can have indoor plants again. :)
I have you down for twist leaf yuccas, cowpen daisies, and goat poop. I'll be adding more to my list, so keep checking for things your son might like in his new garden.

Thank you, Cheryl. That salvia is perfect for my front island bed, and I appreciate the sedums too.

Arlington, TX

Pat I would like some dried goat poop.
Cheryl

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I've got you down, Cheryl.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Cheryl, I'd definitely be interested in giving the Christmas cactus a try, if you are successful at getting it to root. Thanks!

Arlington, TX

I bought a bunch of ebay for almost nothing and have had them in dirt for a couple of weeks. Should know in a few weeks if any of them survive.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you for the Satsuma Orange, Josephine!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

GFWaco--I have a Cuban Oregano for you.

Steadycam--Can I have a few Coleus cuttings? I'm not picky, but something darkish pink/purple would be nice.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Marty and Pat!

Fort Worth, TX

I found a whole forgotten planning of the peach colored scented iris, am going to try to pot several up tomorrow. I know steady cam wants one, would anyone else like one?

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Gypsi, I'd like one of your peach irises.

Fort Worth, TX

Patrob, you've got one.
I will see how many there are tomorrow and pot what I have pots for. Over the years, my favorite has migrated in "pure" patches, so I have plenty.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Gypsi. I hope you can find plants on my list that you would like. If not now, keep checking as I will be adding during the next weeks.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Stephanie, Yes I'll put your name on a dark pinky purple one or two.

Sylvania, GA(Zone 8b)

Gypsi - I would LOVE some Iris if you still have some. Let me know what I can trade you for them.

Banana18 - You got wine bottles. I know I have 2 right now that are regular 24 oz bottles right now, I will have some larger ones later on, which do you want?
Oh and YES YES YES on the Society Garlic! This is my second favorite plant (Roses are my first)

StephanieTX - Wow, thank you so much for the Cuban Oregano! I am sure this is the type I grew before, I can't wait!

I have been planning and mapping things out and now my neighbors are wanting to come too, going to try to get them to join DG. There are some pretty savvy gardeners in the bunch!

Angel

Arlington, TX

Anyone with a shady spot want some heartleaf skullcap?
