28F after sunset. No wind this afternoon.

It was nice to inspect what sticks above a foot or more of snow. All Southern Magnolias are happy. So is Winters Joy camellia even though one of them lost its cover in the wind. Others are more stressed. Lesson learned for hardy camellias is to plant 3 year old plants or risk losing them.

It is 36 on Nantucket and wind out of SW at a not so speedy 7MPH. Suppose to have rain later, but sunny and lovely out now. I will try to get some work done. this morning. Patti

we started out @ 40 and rain. the rain has moved on and it's windy, the temps are dropping too.

Over 40 now and sunny, but ground is sloppy and slippery in places so I am not going to do any outside work today. Don't want to fall down and go boom. Patti

41° rain is now supposed to start late afternoon or early evening. Grocery shopping done, so inside is fine. Did not go out yesterday because of cold & very high winds.

Came home from errands just as the rain started....was 42, now 38.....

The 5" of snow we had on Sunday is gone again

Rained all night, lots of snow has melted(can you hear my grin). It's 42 and barely raining high of 36 today and cloudy. Weird, warmer in the night than during the day!

Got up to 46 degrees at 10 o'clock last night. Yes, odd as it kept getting warmer. Heavy rain in the night, now 35 and blowing about 15 to 20. Overcast. I am taking the fast ferry to Hyannis later today then to Boston for a few days, before going to Vt on Sunday for a few more days. Not much happening here so away to play in the clay. Patti

oh boy - possible heavy wet snow this weekend - do not care for the damaging wet snow.

I've been burning apple wood from the Oct. snowstorm of 2 years ago the past few nights.....sunny today, and I hope the Sat. storm blows out to sea!
