Weather In Your Garden # 128

44° A great amount of bird seed has appeared on the ground where snow has melted. So the birds don't have to dig for it. Melt on the driveway has given a narrow corridor for walking.

Lots of bulbs peeking thru, some are starting to get chewed, need to spray

Temp made it to 45 today....hooray...lots of melting....no daffs in sight, no gardens in sight!

hit 44° today. Melted enough ice on the gravel drivway so I could walk near the car. Much more to melt. One cardinal on a visit.

Lots of melting here too. Had a good walk his AM.

It's 30 now, high of 37 today

Supposed to be around 40....light snow for tonight....

41° rain after 4pm snow overnight, saying 1-3" possible

Sunny, 42....still chipping away at the snow banks....the bottoms have turned to solid ice!

Pretty day and 40 out now. I should have gone and raked up debris from the storm, but we will be having a burn pile soon so I think I will wait until I can just pitch everything into the fire. Patti

It's 25 this morning , partly cloudy today with a high of 39.

30° & sun Snow is supposed to be south of Boston, none here on the north shore.

Another inch in the drive...sigh....27 now, high of 40.....

DH measured snow & where there were 18" after the store, the height is now down to 9". He claimed to hear the cardinal spring call from next door.

Basically all the grass was covered this morning there was nothing on the roads, it was foggy this morning now it's blue skies and sun is shining 41°

41° bright sun. 18" of snow down to 9". Storm of 4-8" predicted for Sat. night. Cardinal singing next door thinking it is spring. Have we got news for him!

So pretty this AM with snow on all the trees. Now sunny and 41. Very nice out.

High was 42.....finally able to clear an area for the oilman......cannot stand the thought of another storm...

Can't believe every time we get some good snow, it warms up and melts in a couple days. We had about 15" last Friday and now it's all gone.

It's not all gone here but we have had 2 - 3 days at 40 and it's melting fast. I can now see some grass around the base of the tree's. With that being typed, the weatherman said we will get snow tonight & tomorrow and in 3 days expect it again. Great!

I only see a little grass, but it just never lasts anymore.

Should hit 45 today.....ditto on the snow.....I'll be at the farm babysitting today.....

No snow here in Nantucket except in the deepest shade and only a few patches. It got up to 48 and was sunny all day. DH took down a couple of big pines that we lost in the storm and he repaired the deer fence where one of the big pines knocked it down when it came partially down. The couple of Cedars that got whacked are getting done tomorrow. I raked, pruned and cleaned up lots of downed branches. Got maybe a third of the yard done. While cleaning up a bed, I found the first of our reticulated Iris in bloom. I.r.Gordon must have be blooming in the snow, but I didn't see it until today. Bad Mom. Patti
