Your Connecticut home is close enough that you can come to visit, Louise. Sorry we didn't have the time to visit longer in Fort Myers. The pictures from you camera/phone made us want to see more.
Gardens Gems Purchased for 2013
I agree Jen about Rosy's, I know if I look I'll buy!
The coleus sites are safe for me to look at and admire without going on a spending spree.
We have only one small area of shade and then only lots of blazing sun. Can't get into trouble going after all the beauties shown on Rosy's.
Love those iris, Jo......any of them would make a lovely watercolor!
Jo, that's a lovely combination with the caladiums. Your SDBs are also beautiful.
Ronnie, I agree about Rosy Dawn.....such great choices at such good prices. I've never had a bad experience with them. Many of the ones I bought are ok in full sun,and even in NH in our sunny gardens, they do really well. I still say I lost my head though. LOL
Sure would like more time together, Teri. It just went too quickly!
Heading up to Marie Selby Gardens on Thursday. Glad they don't have a plant store like Bok Tower.
sometimes you have to loose your head!!.. in my case.. quite often
;)
LOL
Wow! Nice
I was so happy it was almost 50 out yesterday.. if the truck was cold.. it should be all good
SoHappy? Nice plants!!!!
Isnt it wonderful what more sun and higher temps can do? My whole mood and outlook changes
yes all from sohappy64.. Knox nursery
They are awesome! Plants are shipped VERY quickly and hardly any damage to any. :)
they get a bend to them.. when they put them in the cardboard sleeve.. but they usually straighten out in a couple days .. most of the time a couple of tops break.. but roots are always still good
I bought Heucherella 'Buttered Rum"
http://www.terranovanurseries.com/growers/heucherellabutteredrum-p-608.html
Heuchera 'Gothem'
http://www.terranovanurseries.com/growers/heucheragotham-p-602.html
both on ebay and they were very nice size!!
I then turned around and ordered Heucherella 'Sunrise Falls"

I'm NOT looking!
Allison, the coleus are beauties.....Pixie, I'm addicted to coral bells & penstemon....the penstemon is only hardy to zone 7 though....if I could grow it as an annual, I'd buy every one, but I'm not sure they would ever bloom....
Terranova only sells wholesale, right??
Nice Allison!!!!!
I'm not looking either!

http://www.groupon.com/deals/lockwood-farms-2?p=1&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&sid=04259dde-89ba-4ee9-8cd0-7875e30c63b9&division=north-jersey&user=3f642d808d07fbfaa012064c4f778e1079e5f975af57845e7bc0ca799a5ac9e9&date=20130315&s=body&c=deal_button&d=deal-page&utm_campaign=lockwood-farms-2
These orders are making my pocket book bleed. But I am trying to finish up a couple of areas that need ground cover hence the Epimediums, Tiarella, Heuchera, Astilbe, and Perennial Geraniums. The Lilium and Narcissus are just because I am an addict. I got more L.Tiny Sensation as I liked it so much from the ones I planted last year from Bleek , but I didn't have L.Tiny Nanny in te garden yet but I think I have a couple of nice spots for a mess of those along some edges and for cutting. Patti
wow Patti, you just never stop!
Jo, nice looking plants
All my plant money is going toward cutting down the 2 pines...sob!
Sob is right, Robin! 😭
Great list, Patti! You make me smile.
Jo, I love their plants....nice haul!
I'm starting to count the plants I want to bring north. Hank is rolling eyes and looking put out. So far: a shrub rose, a mini-rose, One or two small hibiscus, some red and salmon pink tropical salvia .....there must be room for a few more....will report back if I am not in an abused women's shelter. LOL
WoW Patti!!!!
tell me if you need back up Louise.. I will give him a firm talking to
;)
Patti, did you see the Epimedium from Klehm's called "PRINCESS SUSAN"? I'm in love but it's only hardy for z 5 - 8 and it's $26.95 so if it didn't survive i'd be bumming!!

I did just look at it today when I got their email, but I already spent my wad yesterday on the ones on sale from Alpine. Very pretty, but as the flowers are so small and fleeting, I am mostly looking first at foliage. I have planted a few over the past few years to see if they liked me and was ready to add more this year as they have grown quite nicely on Nantucket for us. Patti
I am sure you will find room, Louise!!!
Lovely lists.
Boohoo, RD! But those pines will be taken down.
