Oh taters how exciting! Are you gonna try and grow your own? You could name it taters!
Happy Valentine's Day to all.
Ray is doing good as far as healing from surgery. We are so blessed. He now has a very bad cold and saw the Dr. yesterday. Feeling some better today.
As for me, I had eye surgery AGAIN Jan. 21. This time the Jones Tubes (glass) were put into the corners of both eyes. Did so good for 2 & 9/10 weeks then the right tube started backing out. Had to go to emergency and the Dr. on call could not put it back in. Used ointment in eye to keep the glass tube from cutting, On Sunday night, I managed to get the tube back far enough to stop the cutting, and on Tuesday saw the Surgeon who did the surgery. He is going to schedule surgery again to redo the right eye. LOL, ok, but you did ask. Thank you so much for caring. I think of you guys often, but have been extremely lazy about posting anywhere.
Love & hugs to each of you.
Faye it is so good to hear from you....geehz the eye and the glass wowzer! Really really glad Ray is recovering. You all deserve a great year!
Debra your pictures are beautiful, love that hibscus...beautiful.
I should of watered last night but got home late and guess I need to get outside, I just don't have any energy and honestly just don't want to do anything! Has to be because of winter, or guess I could just be lazy...rofl.
What in the world am I going to do with you and Ray ? Faye , maybe when you all get these things over , life will be smoother . Thought you would be having a better winter this year . Be better and lot's of hugs your way .
Debra your flowers always look healthy. That is a beautiful Hibiscus.
digger, actually we are having a much better year so far than this time last year. Jan. last year, Ray had Pneumonia and almost died, was in the Hospital 13 days.
Gosh I've missed you guys. Thanks for not dumping me.
Friends forever , sweetie . Don't forget that . We know you have your hands full . Just don't forget us , touch base when you can . Hug Ray for us too . Hugs from all of us .

Friends don't dump each other, we might be away from each other for a while, but we never stop loving you. Aunt B and I are a great example of this. I havn't seen or talked to her for three months, but when I do, it will be just like yesterday for us.
Love you all. Stay Warm! ( I am freezing, sheesh!)
You can't dump us or visa versa....we are stuck on you! ;)
Hey I miss AuntB! I think about her often when I am caring for my brugs....she is a sweetie, wish she would come back. I doubt she realizes how many lives she has touched.
LK that is super about the seed pod. Hope it works out. I have lost a lot of my houseplants and other things due to basic neglect. I have been a bad plant Mommy the last few months. Trying to get this house ready to go on the market next year is taking more time than I had thought. That and running back and forth to the property where the new house will be.Lots of time on the road these days. I don't get here everyday, but you all are in my thoughts.
rofl....we just had a discussion about this very topic, about how we live with imperfection, be it a car, house, boat, or whatever, up until we get ready to sell it...and then we fix all those things for someone else...my dh is the worse I know when something is going to be sold when he starts fixing all those little things...he doesn't need to say a word. LOL
Used to be when Joes folks were coming to town I would get new paint, new this and new that spruced up, but since his Dad died and his Mom stopped flying , this house doesn't get any attention. He keeps asking me if we would get anything for selling it as is. bleah. Still going to hire the painter guy that gave me that good bid on caulking and sealing and painting, tho. Soon as it is warm enough for them to quit saying lets wait until it warms up.
Neener, I wanted that mermaid painting, but someone got it before me. If you need house plants, please let us know, we can re-fill your houseplant prescription easy pweasy.
Joyce I am ready for a get together ... you need to drive to Wichita and we can drive down and see Patti (crit)
Oh how fun that would be. Hate to sound like the painters but let's wait until it warms up....rofl.
You guys are the greatest, no way could I forget any one of you.
It's been at least 2 years, possibly more, since I've heard from Aunt B. and I am another who would love hearing from her again.
OK, here's the deal: everyone start packing planning a long road trip to "Weed City" it is located in Henderson, NC and everyone is needed to get this monster winter yard in shape again. Chick Weed in every place I even thought of planting a flower. HELPPPPPPP
One promise, well maybe 2 or 3. Plenty weeds for everyone, plenty of food and drink (your choice). and lots of aching backs, but also lot's of fun. Will start as soon as there is a warmer day.
Big hugs
Faye
Ha ha , I put out weed killer yesterday and more to put out . Still got the boys yard to do . I wish I could take off and come visit you and Ray . We keep saying "Someday "
Dear Friends, someday cannot be soon enough for me. Anytime!
love you faye/ray, love u all. Got the fish a bigger tub, son came over so I could show him where I want the plastic swimming pool in the basement. He is bringing sand from his lake to fill in for the box turtles, He has to move all the plants in this area and insert the pool under the weight bench legs, then replace what plants he can into the pool and then fill in with the sand and a bag of fresh potting soil and then I will dig a well and have the water for them in a shallow tub, and that is where everything there will stay all summer. I am having my handy man cut the tile inside there along the walls and make a trough for the rain ( if it ever rains again) to flow to the sump pump, then I will have him fill the trough with sand on the bottom and grow water loving plants in it. Then I will have him turn charlies room into a walk in closet for college girl and I. I have thought out these plans a lot. Right now all the non season clothes are hanging on poles right under all the drains and plumbing, so I think Charlies room will be perfect it is under the dining room.
using the old fish water to water the plants with this week and next week. Free plant food. last three pics are where the swim pool will be with all plants in it and the turtles too.
Ok I am tired just thinking about all you are doing...rofl
me too! Can't imagine trying to water all those plants. I would have a water mess all over everything and everywhere.
Morning everyone! What a pleasant surprise to see Neener and Faye posting! Sorry to hear about your eye not doing well. Sure hope they get it fixed quickly!
Love your basement garden Debra!
OK, everyone run out and buy that lucky lottery ticket, so we can all go to Faye's weed city!
We have a few swaps open, come and check them out.

LOL, hurry...weeds not waiting.
Love!
Priming 1x4's today for new trim around windows .
Glad you're finding a little more time to post , Faye . LUV .
Sorry to hear about the eye.. sounds so uncomfortable...!!! I have started a job working for a vet. Doesn't pay much of anything but is fun seeing all the cute pets. My plants too have mostly died of neglect and as far as my poor yard goes... the extended drought has really done its work. Over 20 years I had such a beautiful weed free yard... now the front is nothing but dirt and weeds.... makes me so sad to look at it. I occasionally wander in the weeds and pull the largest ones just to make a statement that I have not completely given in but they have obviously won this round until I can someday clear it all out and start over.
Morning everyone, Hope everyone is doing well?
Tammy, how are you doing in your new job? Is it far from your home?
Sure hope this summer is not so hot, so we can all enjoy getting things planted to enjoy the blooms!
I agree taters, last year was miserable to say the least! The fall here started out really dry, but temps have been about normal I think for us, maybe even a little cooler. So maybe .......
I just spent a fortune on fruit trees . Just praying we get rain here so they survive . We'll find out when we get back in October .
That sure is a lot of plants to haul outside, if they are happy, I would leave them there!
