Congrats! Looking forward to seeing how my CRV, with its all-wheel drive, works in the snow.
Snowing pretty good here for some time now. About 1 1/2 to 2 inches so far, with ice mixing in now.
Weather In Your Garden # 125
So this storm, which is a Noreaster, is named Euclid. Geeks are out of control!!!!
We've gotten 1-2 inches in the past hour too.
Snowing heavily....hoping it changes to rain pretty soon....
we have a few inches of snow.. now heavy freezing rain.. ugh
didn't know they named noreasters!
Just started this year - Weather Channel is naming winter storms.
I say they are all BS
LOL
Interesting as the last Halley's trip was such a bust.
True. I do remember Kahoutek in the early 70's. That one was good.
19 degree's and snowing. We are in the 12 - 18" range.
wow that's crazy this early.. isn't it Jo?
we are a slushy freezy mess.. might get more freezing rain this morning
Its heavy snow and considering our local ski slope hardly was open last year ,this snow is welcome. I cancelled a Therapy appointment.I dont even want to be driven to it.Navigating a snowy parking lot is really difficult.
Seriously, I would of cancelled too. Our State has closed the soup kitchens, Y.M.C.A.'s along with most town office's and banks. There are bands of snow out there dumping 1 - 3" per hour and the winds are 20 -30mph with 40 - 50 mph gust. The windchill has made the temp drop to 6 degree's. Haven't started the fire yet but will later on im sure. ^_^
Ge1836, Great shot of you beginning your life long gardening passion or did you take a long break before getting back to playing ion the dirt?
Pretty white outside up here in vt. Not sure how much snow we have gotten. It took our son 7 1/2 hours to go what normally takes 2 to get back into NYC yesterday. We had planned to go back to Nantucket tomorrow, but I have had a wicked cold and cough since 23rd and don't feel like getting out of bed. Better this morning. I was sort of a buzz kill for the last few days and missed out on eating some choice food. No weight gain for me over this holiday. Looks like a great day for Wha and any others who love being out in the snow. Have fun. Patti
There was a few breaks.I gardened with my grandmother when I was first married and living in the country farm.
Daves Garden definitely raised my garden enthusiasm
Cute Jo!
just over 6" here and still snowing - it is supposed to turn to rain at some point - hope not
rain & high winds all night. 45° about 3" of rain
31 and overcast. DH says we ended up with about 5". He has dug us out.
Whoa....sorry to hear the snow amounts from Pixie, Jo, Debi, & Patti! There are about 4" out here, just soaked down with rain....the man who plows my drive had to come twice, & I had to shovel the walks.....just the kind of sloppy mess I hate....
Dang that's a lot of heavy snow out there.
has just turned to light rain/mist here - cleaned off the back deck and front walkway before they become ice rinks over the next few days - now if this storm will just blow away there will be some xcountry this weekend
Ended up with just about two inches of slush. 36 and overcast.
We had snow Christmas eve but didn't even stick around for Christmas :( boooooo
All this storm brought us was high winds and tons of rain 1.46"
We're left with a couple of inches of slush which will probably turn to solid ice if we don't get it up. Hope the snow thrower can take care of it.
We have a lovely blanket of fluffy stuff, maybe close to a foot. DH got out the snow blower. Last year it never got used. Not once. I am still not feeling well enough to go out and enjoy it, but it sure is pretty to look out at through the window and not have to shovel. Still coming down very lightly. Patti
rain has stopped & we had 4". Had to go to a Drs. appointment at the end. If it had been snow, I would have cancelled.
Sunset back to 4:34!!
Yay! Loving the extra daylight...Patti, hoping you feel better in a hurry.....
that will make me happier too.. 29 now going to 36
sun is out and 22 here
30° sunny light snow overnight different from our 4" of rain yesterday.
28 and overcast
Weak sun & 28....didn't feel well this morning, but after walking a mile over the dam in the wind, cobwebs are gone!
always a great way to clear the head
Yep.....not liking the snow forecast for tomorrow......puts a crimp in my walking....
