Coffee Break # 89 The End of 2012
Sad
But is it caused by being in military?

There were 500 homicides of children age birth to 4 in the year 2009

Where is the outrage? Probably zero using a gun.
Dad was sent to the hospital again today, as he's been in a lot of pain. Finally they found a slight fracture in his pelvic area. Forget what bone it is, but it can't be set. So he is on painkillers and will be receiving physical therapy. He will have to use a walker now. I can see him getting really frustrated with that. Thanks for the well-wishes, guys.
Bill, I love the tough Christmas post!
Sorry to hear you guys were sick for Christmas, Jen. We all got sick before Christmas and were mostly better by the time the big day arrived. Thank God.
Hope your Dads are feeling better soon, Allison and Victor. Also hope your little guy is feeling better soon, Victor.
Karen
I'm catching up here. Karen summarized very well. Prayers are in order for the elderly and for the young'uns to get better too.
Thanks for the laugh Bill.
Sorry to hear of the fracture, Karen, but thankfully it wasn't his hip.....
Great photos! How are they enjoying college?
Beautiful family Rosemary!
Yes, good-looking kids.
BIL has the case of the latest subway pusher. Terrible. At least they got her quickly.
The kids are all loving it at college. DD2 is sitting next to her boyfriend who is her reason to come home fairly often. Her performance in molecular biochemistry has been nothing short of amazing, and she thinks she's pretty sure she wants to become a researcher. DD1 is getting ready to go to Mexico for Spanish classes during winter term. She is very happy about what she's learning though Oberlin is not an easy college in terms of expectations, so she's getting our money's worth. It's a long story. And our son is thriving in engineering. He completed three extraordinary projects, all of which are giving him a reputation, so he's having a great time with his notoriety.
Hope Victor's BIL likes his work. In a reverse turn of fate, when you work in public safety, it's the big cases that can be the most satisfying.
I'm glad that the kids are doing well. & that they have found what they like to do.
Hooray for your kids, Rosemary. Glad to hear they are thriving!!!
Great pics, Rosemary. Glad to hear the kids are enjoying school and are doing so well.
