DW made roast beef sandwiches with pico de lettuce and Henry Bain sauce last night. Although good, they were bigger than my mouth, so I had mine open faced. Accompanied by black bean salsa salad.
Time to give thanks for food!
Sounds good, Don.....I had leftover soup....
Went out for dinner at a Hibachi grill buffet. I picked out what I wanted and the guy grilled it for me. That was my main dish. Of course I wandered around and picked out other goodies. I didn't try them, but they also had frog legs which our friends raved about.
Love roast beef
Frog legs are good, taste like chicken
Cannot eat anything exotic.....cannot even look at the rabbit in the grocery store.....
Same here. I cringe at what some people eat - especially Asians.
Never had rabbit, I like alligator
did that chicken picatta again.. nailed it this time
Eggplant parm
Dry rubbed a rack of ribs and slow cooked them, mashed garlic taters, corn and dinner rolls.
Rabbit tastes like chicken as does frog legs. I could never hang on to a pet frog.....it always ended up in the fry pan sooner or later.
Hee hee! What did the kids think of Kermit??
LOL
going to be putting a roast in the crock pot for tonight
Making chicken with mushrooms up at the farm.....
I didn't eat the frog legs, those were my pets!!! Now my brothers are a different stroy. :)
Brother Brian always was threatening hubby about throwing Sophie & Patches in a pot. LOL
NO!!!! That's why I could never keep chickens....all I would eat would be the eggs....still remember my Gram chopping off the heads of our Sunday dinner.....
I have chickens and can't eat the eggs!
Roasted chicken, mashed taters, peas and applesauce.
I remember being on the business end of the axe when it was time to do up chickens. The smell of hot, wet feathers was awful! Maybe that's why I can't smell things now. I shut down as a defense.
I loved the fresh eggs from my uncles farm
Some of my wife's patients bring fresh eggs. Huge difference in taste.
Yes....amazing how different a really fresh egg is.....have no ideas for supper tonight....get home late from my art class.....guess I can always stop for a pizza.....
Meatloaf, baked potatoes, corn, fresh bread and apple pie.
Stuffed pork roast, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, green beans, and a lemon cream cake.
Sounds like all comfort food to me, yum!!!
pot roast leftovers for us
Really! Yum.
Double yum! Decided to make a pasta & leftover chicken casserole....not bad.....am baking an apple right now...having the oven helps warm the downstairs!
comfort is right.. beef stew
Went out to lunch & had chicken souvlaki....
Salmon, Santa Fe rice, seasoned green beans and dinner rolls.
Spaghetti plus "Garlicky Spinach" (recipe from Epicurious).
Mmm..garlic & spinach are a good combo.....
hubby LOVES garlic anything!
We had Chinese last night so it will be leftovers today
Garlic is not a food - it's a lifestyle.
Turkey, taters, corn on the cob, squash, stuffing and cranberry. Comfort food on a cold day. ^_^
Thai Chicken Curry with half-and-half Quinoa/Rice.
Mmm...both sound yummy....meatloaf here with sweet potato fries & squash casserole......
