Mostly cloudy today, high of 51....sorry about the fence, Jumper! Ivy, hope you get to work soon.....
Weather In Your Garden # 123 Crossing another bridge.
Getting colder. Went for a drive outside of my town today. Saw the devastation. Seems my little town is in a protected nook up close to the mountains. Grateful.
42 now going to 52 .. Showers this afternoon .. Took us almost all day to find gas for the generator and get back home .. Found a pizza place open in route.. Took us 6 hours said and done .. Exhausting.. All the stations around had no power or out of gas .. Said all day it is worse than the 70's crisis
I hope that life improves for you soon.
Thanks for keeping in touch Allison. I have been scared for you. I hope it gets easier. From farther away, the pictures are hard to fully grasp.
45° this morning & sun trying to appear.
39 and light rain.
Allison, that was life for us after Alfred last year.....daunting. If my cousin didn't have gas for my generator, I would have been in a much worse place...now I can laugh about cooking for 4 of us with 2 live plugs and an electric skillet....saw some sun earlier...now, just a gray November day....
Going to get worse unless we get fuel .. No where to be found
sun has come out.
Allison we have seen the fuel problem on the news. I think they are bringing in some by boat.
Coast Guard is in process of opening two NJ ports for receiving fuel ghipments, (Several refineries are shut down for some reason atthis time). Gas stations that have gas can't pump it because of no electric. Seems a vicious circle...perhaps stations should have some sort of back up power source, too
Or lol, a crank by hand option!
Natural gas lines being shut off to prevent fires.
good, that's a very scary situation.
I see blue skies but some clouds
Watching for a noreaster for next week :(
Very cloudy here....45 .....
cloudy and 41
50° & cloudy
39 now going to 49
It's 43 , high of 47 today. Tonight we drop to 26 tonight and 23 tomorrow night!!!
I'm glad to hear that relief is on the way to NJ and New York and Connecticut. It is hard not to think these megastorms are just an occasional freak thing.
Maybe I shouldn't rake so much this week if the Noreaster will just blow leaves down the hill to my neighbors' house. Oh, yeah, she just had surgery. Guess I have to rake. Guess I can be grateful for our blessings, even while muscles and joints are very sore.
Just what we need...another storm.....sunny here today, high of 48.....nice walking this morning...
40 and cloudy
38 now going to 48
Cloud cover stayed last night so we only dropped to 33! Much better than I expected, however the next 2 mornings aren't looking tropical!
cerrently 38 and cloudy
It's 39 now. Temp dropped to 35 overnight. Overcast.
Saying we had an earthquake in Passaic county .. I didn't feel it in Morris .. So beat this week
cold
Raw kind of day. And another Noreaster on Wed. Ugh.
Saying we had an earthquake in Passaic county .. I didn't feel it in Morris .. So beat this week
Heard about that earthquake adding insult to injury. I'm hoping it didn't do more damage.
Stress will drain you and the cold and short days don't help either.
Hoping & praying things will look up for all of you soon...
We are now spitting SNOW!!!
UGH, IF we do get this Noreaster please let it come Tues-Wed, was leaving on a short vaca starting Thursday
Wow...Mother Nature is not happy! 36 here, walking was brisk to say the least.....hoping the next storm is all rain, but we may have some snow mixing in....yuck!
No - Wed-Thu.
Robindog, that was a mouthful: Mother Nature is not happy!
I think that is the new mantra!
We are now spitting SNOW!!!
