I know the cold and winter is here when I start to see temps from Saranac Lake on the nat'l weather maps!

My body adjusts less rapidly than this weather...or is it my mind that clings to hope for a few more mild days?

In any event, my prayers go out to all without a home or sources of heat and light.

A very frosty 20 here....the grass was crunchy when I filled the bird feeder.....I, too, have been thinking about those folks without heat...awful!

20 here as well - first white frost and some thin ice on the pond out back where it is shallow.

Prediction of snow tomorrow along and west of I-95. West of Boston near I-95 clearly marks a micro-climate. I've seen it from an airplane in the past.

At our house it's already dropping to 33 F after a high today of 46. I'm glad my up-side-down pots on plants have a double wall.

Please please to anyone in an evacuation area, go to safety. It's not worth risking one's life to stay for property.

It's 21 now, high of 38 for today. Snow/wintry mix tonight into tomorrow morning, then should change to rain during the day and back to snow at night again.

mid-twenties here, might see a couple inches that will melt which is good there is still a lot of raking to do.

used to be 1-4" upped it to 3-5" nothing yet here but cloudy and raw, some gusting wind

44° & wind is picking up. Most of the leaves were down & this wind will take care mof most of the others. We are in the rain area so probably no snow.

Snowing & blowing here.....just nasty! Possible change to freezing rain for tonight....that should help bring down the power lines.....snowfall total of 3-5", up to 7" where my son lives......like Alfred, I'm hoping this is the last snowstorm of the season.......
