Weather In Your Garden # 123 Crossing another bridge.

Thomaston, CT

Not bad here at all....some drizzle, some gusts, but overall, pretty quiet......took Suey down to the dam this morning....the rangers closed the basin, so had to walk on top....very windy, because it's so high & exposed....anyway, halfway across, a fisher ran in front of us....only about the 4th one I've ever seen....ran down into the rocky face of the dam.....hope everyone is doing well, & continues to be safe!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Good luck, good wishes and prayers going out to all who are in the worst areas of the storm. Not bad here yet, but they say the worst will arrive around 2 p.m. Very blustery out there now. We are about 15 miles from the coastline, so we aren't getting as much as they are there.

So far, so good. Will keep in touch as much as I can. Fully expecting power outage. Over 3" of rain so far.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Extremely windy and already lots of rain. Getting nervous too Allison :-(
Praying we are all safe (((♥♥♥)))

Thinking of all of you

The eye is expected to pass over our county about 2am.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Occasional gusts. Only 0.06" so far.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

very little rain, windy with gusts almost all the leaves are down.

Stamford, CT(Zone 6b)

We expect a whole lot more. The state is shut down, and the winds are high. Highways are all closed to passenger cars as of 1 pm; trucks were kicked off earlier. The numbers on the weather maps are not degrees; they are wind speeds. Between Jersey and Connecticut, the shore areas are definitely not good. We are on Long Island Sound, and the south end of town has mandatory evacuation within a half mile of the water.

Just got home from work. Not hardley raining. Wind gust are Poof, maybe 10 - 20 mph. Not that I want anyone to have damage or myself but it can be alittle more interesting, in my book.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

1.31" so far recorded highest wind gust in Trenton over 40mph

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Thinking of everyone here and worrying with y'all. Hope everyone is safe and secure.

I have been watching the wind currents on this wind map http://hint.fm/wind/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Very

It is strange to see how the wind is pulling southeast toward the center of the storm.

If you hold the cursor over the area you are in, it will tell the current wind speed.

Good luck and prayers for all. Kristi

My sister east of me had her company close til Wed in prep.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

LOVE the wind direction. It is blowing all the neighbor's trees' leaves into HIS yard for once!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

hee hee

I think the leaves are confused.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Kristi.....winds are gusting about 30 mph here, light rain....no branches down.....63, 000 households without power, but, thankfully not mine...skies seem to be lightening, but told the worse will be later this evening, with winds diminishing after midnight.....

South Hamilton, MA

Most of the leaves are off the tulip tree except for the lower branches. Beech tree in front of the house is hanging on to its leaves. Rain has increased. Had light rain this morning. did laundry this morning. Might as well while we still had power.
