Kids just got here, we still have our power at least for a while. Guess we will have a sleepover, as long as it stays on. Really wish we had a generator, might be a good investment after the Holidays.

I 'talked' with Arlene a bit ago and she was fine. Still on Long Island. Two of her neighbors had water up 25' onto their property but they live right on the water.

Hope Arlene is ok .. Wish she would have gotten out of there

If any of you read my FB post about complaining what you lost in Sandy...let me clarify. A friends sister who lives in CT was whining about her pool cover she just bought this summer and it cost her $600 and its in shreds. It rubbed me the wrong way.....so many of you are waking up to see way more destruction than she will ever see and she's crying about a pool cover!!!

Its amazing what too many communications can do.The pool cover is hardly news.I agree.

CT shoreline is just a mess.....tides 15 ft above normal, plus the waves......many houses just washed away.....

ughh - I had a stomach ache for 2 days and just realized it was Nerves! Nerves can do things, like hurricanes.

We ate supper early last night which was good as power went out at 6:40 pm. Read with the help of our battery lamp bought for such occasions. Think I will get a 2nd one. Power on by 3 am as DH went downstairs to turn off lights.
